10/10 experience with Joel. He's been our go-to for years now at our home and we can't recommend him enough. He's removed two other trees on our lot and helped us plant a lemon tree. read more

Received fair quote through Yelp. Made arrangements quickly. Joel came to my home to go over what would be done. He's very friendly and we agreed on the price. Joel came the next day while I wasn't home and did everything he said he would and even a little extra. Great service at a fair price. I will definitely be calling him again if needed! Tree(s) Removal 1-2-24 It was the hardest ordeal due to backyard issues from a previous tenant. There were several things that were not managed! Joel was the second out of 4 people who gave me an estimate to do the following: Remove 6 podocarpus, a lemon tree, an avocado tree, so much ivy that overgrew to 3 ft in width! Plus a calamansi tree that needed much needed trim as it stood at least 12 ft high+! It was a jungle out back ! Out of all the tree trimmers, Joel smiles and introduced himself and very confident. So the price was also very good and competitive to others, but I knew he should be the one to do this project. He ran late when it was time to do the work, so if you are punctual like me then just call him. He picked up and has some machine issues, but he delivered as promised to haul off and remove all the following as stated. When I asked for certain things to be trimmed like the ivy, he kept up with Moses to trim it right. Haha ... Plus the calamansi tree was a last minute project but he was still able to do it with no problem. He completed everything in 4.5-5 hours! Plus made sure it looked neat and clean when completed. I liked the fact that he spoke to my mom over Facetime making sure all the worl was going well, too. If you need someone to help you with your trees or backyard grooming Joel is the guy! He loves what he does in helping you decide, and why I chose him because he seriously walked the property and really tells you why a certain tree can't grow in a spot. Others who bid for the job do not fully look and just give a quick glance which I wish they would at least know what they are dealing with prior to ending the quote besides a walk through shows that you care about what the client is requesting and if the ask is ok and clear. photos shows the before and after. read more

There is something to be said for honoring your quote, showing up on time, having the materials delivered and completing the job when promised. Joel and Jesus were excellent. I have three separate plots of glass. They replaced and resodded 2 of the 3 and then removed grass and spread rock in the third area. I also had Joel demo and pour concrete in two separate areas. I would definitely recommend and not hesitate to hire Joel and team again for my next outdoor project that exceeds my skills/time. read more

I used Joel Espinoza Landscape for a second time. He itemized the cost of each tree for the bid, so it was easy to customize and fit within our budget. His team trimmed many large trees in the back and front yards and removed several trees. The work took a good portion of the day and they cleaned up the area after very well. I've also recommended Joel Espinoza to a neighbor who used his services. read more

Very fast response and great service, came same day service estimate and next day service, job well done and would recommend, definitely will use again in the future. read more

I hired Joel to cut down some trees in backyard that were close to wires. He did an excellent job at a very reasonable price and as we were walking around and talking, he noticed how cracked up and driveway was. So I hired him to redo my driveway. It was amazing yo watch he and his crew do all the hard work in such a fast and efficient time and the driveway is beautiful. I highly recommend him. Thank you Joel. read more

Joel and his guy did a fantastic job on my backyard. His prices are fair, and he got the job done quickly. I had gotten a couple of quotes from different people, but they wanted to charge me more for less work. I would definitely recommend Joel Landscaping read more

We needed help putting down a lawn in our backyard last summer and Joel did a beautiful job creating it for us. I found Joel on Yelp and I couldn't be happier. He took the old roses out from the front of our house and replaced them with bushes. His work was 2nd to none and his communication through the whole process was excellent. I would recommend him to anyone. read more

Joel is better than just great! I would give ten stars if that's an option. I don't know why he has no reviews yet, but I'll be more than happy to write a review for him. We got the newly purchased house, has the sprinklers but no timers found. We get a few quotes from Yelp, Joel responded and make the trip to check and have a very honest price, AND he said he can get the job done in the same day just after he finish the other job first. Joel came back at around 3pm, and get everything done, with two timers installed. He was very professional, fast and even showed us how to do it, and how to set up the timer. I highly recommend Joel to anyone that need tree trimming, and any gardening services. read more

Great price & Great work! Highly recommend!! Very kind and very helpful. Came in and got the job easily

Arrived on time, trimmed our 3 palms and also fixed several sprinklers. We will keep his info for future tree trimming.

We were walking around the neighborhood and saw Joel working on a neighbor's yard. We stopped to get his card. We compared many quotes and he was by far the most fair and professional. Joel cleaned our yard of weeds and uncontrolled crab grass. He treated it and put down plastic and gravel to prevent regrowth. He also put down sod for our backyard and gave us tips to keep it healthy and alive. He even fixed our sprinkler and helped set up our timer without charging us. It was such a pleasure working with Joel. What was great about Joel is that he was communicative and flexible with our budget. He and his team are very fast, reliable, friendly, and professional. Highly recommend his services and will definitely be using him again for future services. read more

Joel and his guys were amazing! Joel was very personable and professional. He came out to assess our extremely overgrown weeds and within a few days he was able to come out and get the job done. read more

I was in desperate need of a yard cleanup as well as care for our severely overgrown Cyprus trees, and Joel was the only reasonable quote out of 6 estimates! The height and location of our 36 trees were beyond what the majority of the tree experts could handle (nearly 30+ feet high, and next to a busy street in Fountain Valley) he was able to start the SAME DAY as the estimate! I was happily surprised at how well and quickly the job was done (the trees were growing OVER our pool) and at how clean he left the area (no special servicing needed on the pool, so happy!). He did such an amazing job that I hired him again to remodel our entire back yard at our second house! Reasonable costs, prompt estimates, and high-quality service! read more

Joel came to give me a quote on a Friday for a weed-overgrown back yard. His quote was the most competitive amongst a few other quotes I received, and he was back on Monday for the job. He was extremely kind, friendly, professional, and he did an amazing job. I was amazed at how quickly completed my entire back yard while doing an excellent job on the project. I cannot recommend him highly enough and I am definitely hiring him again. Thank you, Joel!!!! read more

I asked for an estimate and Joel set up an appointment. He did not keep the appointment and I had to reach out to him about him not showing up. He asked to reschedule to the next day and I accommodated that. Again, he did not show nor did he contact me with an explanation. Be careful when considering this firm. read more

To be fair, I am posting an amendment to my previous comments, and attaching photographs of work done on other parts of the garden. I was tired after taxing hours at work, and when I returned home and saw certain things, I got cross. These photographs will confirm the "good" work overwhelms that which I complained about. Thank you for your patience, Joel and your team. I wish you a busy future. read more

Joel is a machine! He single-handedly made our yard look amazing laying down sod and repairing our sprinklers that haven't been in use in ages. Joel arrived around 7am both days and got straight to work, working non-stop until the end of the day. His prices were fair and our neighbors were so impressed with their work that they came over and asked for quotes for their properties. Overall very satisfied with Joel's work, and most of all, he genuinely cares about doing a great job for his customers. read more

I hired Joel to remove a dead bush, trim an overgrown bush, remove a weedy patch, and trim the lawn. At the end of the day, my 2-year-old fescue lawn was nothing but a patch of dirt. Joel says this is a "trim." I say this is going to be nothing a breeding ground for nutsedge and oxalis. And he was so concerned about not using poison on the Bermuda grass because it would damage the lawn as well, and then he does this??? I was trying to make my lawn less of an eyesore, not more of one. I feel like I went to the hairdresser for a trim and got a buzz cut instead. So unless your goal is to have your lawn decimated, I'd take your business elsewhere. ETA: I've been on the internet all day trying to figure out how to salvage my lawn. I've learned that the term for this is "turf scalping," that cool-season grasses (such as red fescue, which is what our lawn was) do not tolerate scalping, and that removing more than 40% of the grass's overall height may irrevocably damage the lawn. Do not trust your lawn to this man. read more
