St Augustine
Greg B.

Taylor was great to work with from the consultation to completion. He was prompt in the showing up for the appointment, knowledgeable with my landscape requirements, and described the best solution. I went with St Augustine and he let me know that he will supplement with rye to get green sooner since this was in March 2023 right before the heavy rains. The rye made my lawn look good from the start, but now that it's warmer, the St Augustine grass is taking over and looking amazing. Just like how Taylor described. After the job was completed, he came back a couple of times to check status and make sure everything was going well. Taylor adjusted the sprinklers for better coverage and gave me watering tips. TPS has been fantastic and I trust them for future lawn care. I highly recommend them.

TPS Landscaping transformed our small backyard. Taylor gave us some great suggestions and advice. His professionalism and determination towards satisfying our needs was outstanding. We recommend him 10 times over. Thank you Taylor for doing our backyard in the time you quoted. We appreciated the new look. We appreciate your help!!!!

We hired Taylor and his team to lay new sod in both our front and backyard back in April. My husband was very particular about the breed of Bermuda grass he wanted. Taylor was very responsive and knowledgeable about the grass and answered many of my husbands questions. We received a couple of quotes from different companies and Taylor's was by far the most competitive! I was skeptical after they initially laid the sod because it was quite brown and frankly a little ugly (haha) but Taylor assured me it would take a few weeks to fill in and for the grass to look green. I will say, my husband is a little OCD about taking care of the grass. So I'm sure that's also why it looks as good as it does now. In any case, our friends also hired Taylor to lay fescue sod in their yard and it also looks fantastic! Some progress photos below

Lights in our bay window and really shows off the house

I'm updating my review cuz it's been over a year and we've been dealing with issues for a while now and feel it needs to be commented on. No we haven't reached out to Taylor cuz we'll just deal with these things on our own and I'm sure we'll be replacing stuff. Mind you, we've owned this house since 1998 and are well aware of how to take care of plants and grass! Ok here it goes: 1. When we originally did our hardscaping and landscaping in 2006, we put in big drain pipes from the back to the front for excess water due to rain, etc. We use one of these pipes when we backwash or partially drain our pool. We did this in March and noticed that the front planter was filling with water. Come to find out, the pipe was broken. We figured this happened during the tree removal. My husband repaired the pipe. 2. We constantly have brown spots on the grass, both front and back. Yes we check the soil moisture and adjust accordingly. 3. When they removed three trees in our front planters, they didn't remove all of the roots and they keep wanting to grow back. The planters where the trees were look weedy with these little starters and I keep having to pull them out, put Round-up on them, just to grow back. They almost take over a couple of the rose bushes! 4. Already replaced one sprinkler head. 5. The smaller agapanthus in the back haven't really grown and only had two flowers since being planted. Same with the azaleas and gardenias in both the front and back, little growing and flowering. 6. The big agapanthus in the front planter are dying. Look we had agapanthus in the same planter for 17 years and never had this problem! 7. The hydrangeas are ok, at least the purple ones. They grow pretty good. But we already lost one white one and I'm sure we'll lose the other white ones. Most likely will have to put just purple. 8. The only good plant is the red hibiscus (which I didn't want cuz I hate red), go figure! I'm not doing this review to be mean. Everyone is excited right after a job gets done and of course you want that feeling and landscaping to last. Sadly this isn't the case.

The very last project for my house in 2021 was to get my sprinkler valve repaired (leaky) and looking into a drip system. I checked out a few sprinkler repair places on yelp but Taylor was the most responsive 12/15/21. He set up a time to meet me the same day. He arrived on time, was friendly and professional. He gave me his honest diagnosis of my leak and said he would not be able to tell me where it coming from until he fixes it. I had two capped valves that were no longer in business after concrete install so he said he could use one of those insteady of replacing it with a brand new one. I asked about a drip system for my front and back yard. He provided me the pros and cons, how it compairs to traditional sprinkler system and how it would benefit me. My old sprinklers kept watering my house and concrete more than the plants themselves. I was more than happy to have the system installed. He said he would give me a better estimate via email. He sent the estimate, I approved, and we scheduled for install 3 days later. I asked about any warranty that came with the work due to some concerning yelp reviews and he was more than happy to place the warranty in my invoice. Install day, Taylor arrived on time and started immediately. It took a few hours to complete the job and I was suprised it was only him. He told me they usually are off during the winter break as most people already completed all projects by holiday time. My project was also small so it would not be necessary to get a crew out. During the install process, he found out one of the sprinklers that were supposed to be capped off in my artificial turf was not done. Water just kept running down the neighboring lawn. He offered to fix it but since my turf people should have done it, he recommended us to run it by them first. I was very thankful since a open water pipe would cause a lot of problems. I got on the phone with my turf folks and they quickly scheduled a repair visit. Taylor did a good job and left the workspace clean after the job was completed. So far so good after install of the drip system and repair valve. I am happy that my plants are getting just the right amount of water they need and my house and concrete are dry, as they should be. Thank you, Taylor/TPS for the great service.

EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL. TRUE EXPERTS IN THE FIELD. This is a company that does an amazing job. They know what they are doing and do it well. Taylor, the owner, walks you through the entire process. He has a large crew ( that surprised me) and used heavy equipment to help with the project. We had sod put in the front yard 3 weeks ago and it is HEALTHY AND BEAUTIFUL.

After Taylor and his team...big difference

Super happy that we picked Taylor and his team. From the very beginning communication was excellent and Taylor and his team were on time and completed the job. I just wanted to let it be known I recieved lower bids from other companies but because Taylor was so professional and upfront about the process we picked him. Don't hesitate to use him and his team. They are very good and you Won't regret the choice.

My new St Augustine lawn.

I initially gave TPS a 5-star after they finished the job of installing new sprinkler system and St Augustine grass. However after some of the grass turned brown, Taylor said he will get some for me. I proceeded to buy some top soil but he never called me back after numerous times I have contacted him. This is not the end of the story. The new pvc sprinkler installed cracked after a couple of months and I didn't notice it until much later. My water bill was over $260 and had to pay $300 for a plumber to fix it. You see my original sprinkler is metal. He cut the metal and instead replaced with a male pvc. Accdg to the plumber you don't put a male pvc with a female metal pipe. Tried to contact him just to inform him. I wasn't trying to get reimbursed but no return calls or text. My friend made a mistake of hiring him and after the job was paid, he didn't make good on his promise to come back and fix whatever was wrong. Overall, he is professional, nice to deal with, did a good job installing However, he doesn't need to promise customers to come back and fix the issue if he won't keep his word.

Sadly, this is my first negative review of my whole yelp life. Didn't want to do this but unfortunately we've had issue after issue with the work that was done at our property. The whole process was great in the beginning, the communication was great and professional up until they finished their three day job and got paid. The next day we woke up with our flower beds drenched in water because he forgot to turn off the water for the drip lines, which he came to fix. However, from then on every time we turn them on a pipe bursts because he didn't clamp anything and didn't check the water pressure. After the first couple of instances with this issue, he slowly disappeared and is now not responding to texts or calls. In addition, we got our entire front yard seeded for grass and irrigation installed, which turned into a huge weed festival due to him not prepping the soil. The terrain is not leveled, the sprinklers are wrongly positioned and too high above ground level, there are patches all over, and needless to say we are now getting it all redone. It's extremely disappointing, especially for the thousands of dollars we paid and the false advertisement he gave us with regards to an inexistent warranty period on all of his work.

Taylor and his crew TRANSFORMED our dirt pile of a back yard into a stunning outdoor haven. So thankful for the work they did and the price was extremely fair. Would absolutely recommend TPS and will be calling them again in the future should we ever need more work!

New sod replacement and sprinkler system install

Taylor and his crew did an amazing job transforming my front and backyard. There was a lot of work to be done but I had a tight budget. Taylor was honest with what he could do and gave alternatives/options that would work within my budget while still having the landscape look beautiful. From start to finish, Taylor was professional and communicative. He kept me updated throughout the whole process. Would use again for future projects!

We needed so much work done and we were very thankful to find Taylor and his crew. He installed an entire front yard and backyard sod, pathway, pavers, planter, patios, column, porch. Communication was perfect. We had him come back for a couple of common follow up calls and he promptly came out. I would recommend this company to anyone!

Broken line
Heather B.

Sad to have to write this review because I really liked Taylor and his crew. His bid was competitive, they showed up as promised, and I was happy to support a small business and new dad. He told me the work was guaranteed and if I had any problems to call him and he would come right out. What bs! I've been trying to get ahold of him for over a month now. I've called, texted, and sent messages through this app and received no response. * The new line he put in busted a few weeks after installed. You would not believe what my water bill was that month! You could practically swim on my street. He wouldn't return my calls, texts, or messages. I've been manually turning the line on and off for over a month. * I had asked that the lines be buried deep (6-9") only to find that one section was right at the surface. When I inquired about why I could see the white pvc he said they couldn't bury it more because of the trees roots. Not a huge deal because I had planned to add new soil to that area, but still disappointing. * He installed 2' tall risers, which are doing a great job of water my stone fences, but isn't actually getting most of the soil wet. I'm going to have to replant 1/3 of the plants I had planted because I wasn't there to hand water them while we were on vacation and doubling the sprinkler time hoping the runoff would help did nothing for them, so they died. My gardener even asked why they were so tall: it didn't make sense to him. He also said they didn't install enough sprinklers across the back. I didn't expect him to fix all the issues for free, but I'm really disappointed that he didn't respond, especially to my SOS about the busted line, after he told me the work was guaranteed. It is right at a joint, so I imagine it just didn't get enough pvc glue.

We are pleased to submit a great review for Eric Mercado, of Resolve Landscape. Eric and his crew tackled a tough job to level the uneven soil in our 700 sq. ft. +/- area in preparation for upgrading the existing soil to improve out backyard to install a new sprinkler system and Marathon I sod. (I hope that if possible, Resolve Landscapers wouldn't mind adding any additional information that I may have overlooked). In addition, Resolve installed PTL lumber along the tree line, a separate drip system for additional plantings around our trees, and added a B-Hyve wi-fi enabled watering system with multiple stations to allow us to control the timing for watering backyard areas. We also had flagstone stepping stone pavers installed in one of the corners of our backyard, with 3/8" Del Rio pea rocks to support the walkway. To be honest, it really restored my faith in landscaping contractors. I submitted an online request for a quote and the next day Mike emailed me requesting pictures of what our project wanted to include. Originally we just wanted to pull out our front yard plants and redo just the front but there is a $5000 project minimum. After deciding to redo our turf and also include our backyard, Mike came out the next week for a free in person consultation and got me a detailed quote within 2 days. The turnaround time for everything was just amazing, I've never seen anything like it. Our lot is about 3615 sq ft to give a reference point. Our project included: all the labor to demolish/uproot all of our plants including a very large 20 year old tree in the backyard + all the roots (completed in 2-3 days), redid our front and backyard turf (completed in 2 days by Backyard Golf Company), added a veneer stone and cap on our retaining wall (1 week) and replanted all our plants/installed a drip sprinkler system/installed lighting front and backyard (1 week). We have an HOA and Mike had a complete detailed plan and diagram ready for us within 3-5 days. Once HOA got back to us, the project was started within a week and finished in the estimated time frame. Workers came promptly at 8 AM and they were actively working all day not just sitting around. Very respectful, even blowing all the dust at the end of the day to keep the area clean, no garbage left anywhere. The entire project was $30,000 and there weren't any surprise or unexpected costs. Invoices are sent every week on a reasonable schedule and I just loved our experience. I'd recommend Seabreeze to anyone wanting to do their hardscape landscaping in a heartbeat!

I am fond of saying you can tell the quality of a company by how they respond when things go wrong…read more tl:dr; in the case of MC, the answer is not at all. Here are all the things that have gone wrong: I discovered the hardware they used for my lighting and my sprinkler were the base models, despite paying top doller. The owner lied on google maps claiming they put in a higher system. I posted pictures of the base models. No reply. I had to buy after market not so great adapters to get smart access to my lights and sprinklers. They put a chip in my pony wall while installing (years ago) and promised to come back to fix it. They never did. I recently found out from a neighbor who sees a part of my yard I normally don't that I have a sprinkler that is just pouring onto the walkway. That was a few days ago and I haven't had time to look at it. A good company would come out and fix it for me. Given how they haven't fixed anything else yet, I'll have to fix this myself or pay a reputable company to take a look. Half of my lights don't work. Again, I have zero hope that they will repair the lights. I had to replace nearly every plant they chose because it either didn't match my plans or because they weren't suited to the climate here and didn't survive (lest you blame me, every plant I chose to replace it with is thriving. How do you choose plants that can't survive in a region where everything survives?) The owner said on my google review that he had tried to reach me "several times" and I told him not to call.... I have been begging for them to make these things right for years.. I have had no calls. I figured out he was probably calling the wrong number and the person kept telling them that and finally said to stop calling. I sure as hell didn't say it. I would still like them to come fix the pony wall, the lighting, and the sprinklers, and make it right that I paid thousands for plants that had to be replaced within a year. Instead, they are resting on their mostly high reviews figuring mine will get buried and no one will care. Which is why I'm on yelp now as well as google. Here's what you can learn from the reviews. When things go right, MC is great. I do love the layout they created and the work by the actual workers. They were diligent and hard working. The price was high but fair given the amount of curved pavers I had in the plans, it seemed reasonable. (This is assuming there weren't so many problems.) But if you have an issue with them, good luck. Years of me leaving voicemails and reaching out to no avail. They knew about the pony wall before they even finished the project. There is ZERO excuse for not fixing that before they were done. Now years later, any work won't match well. I'm just livid at this company. 75 grand and this is how I've been treated. Unreal.
