Grilled chicken tacos
Elena C.

Great spot in downtown Napa near the Riverwalk. Went with friends for a weekday dinner without a reservation and had no issues getting seated. Our server was amazing, and the food came out quickly with big portions. We started with chips and guacamole (highly recommend), and then I had the grilled chicken tacos with rice and beans, both were very filling.

La Rusa

Man oh man this place was delicious! Great atmosphere and comfortable chairs. Great service. I got the tacos dorado which is taquitos. They were suuuper good. Juicy and flavorful. The drinks were good. I got the la rusa which was spicy. I loved it. Partner got the wet burrito. I wasn't a fan of the green sauce but the red was great! He ate the whole thing. I don't know how because the burrito is massive. Friend got the tacos. He enjoyed them. Would definitely come back.

The is a brand new restaurant in Napa and related to La Cheves a stable in Napa. This places was amazing as well and the service was good based on how packed it was. Food - 10/10 - the make the tortillas fresh in house and everything was full of flavor. Atmosphere was nice, semi dark setting a nice date vibe Service was good, Ivan was our waiter and did a job recommending food and making sure we were well taking care of.

2 chicken enchiladas, rice & beans

I had 2 cravings and one of them was Mole enchiladas and Los Agaves was the only place in Napa that had it on their current menu and they allow dogs at the restaurant too, but only on the patio, but since it started to rain we were given an exception to sit inside close to the patio door. Perfect, but I'll get to the dogs allowed in one area and not the other in a moment. I ordered the Mole with chicken enchiladas, it came with 2 which was stuffed with plenty of savory chicken and the sauce to die for. The rice was simple and I liked that the beans were whole and not refried. The plate isn't that large so the portion of rice and beans is not much. The star of the meal is the enchiladas. One disturbing thing I noticed was the menu priced the dish at $28 but I was charged $31. I didn't order any chips or salsa, thinking it would come with the beer I ordered but everything is extra. I noticed the bowl of chips is rather small and tortillas are separate too. I'm glad I didn't get those extras so I could indulge in the enchiladas and devoured them completely that's how good they were. On to the dessert, 3 choices and there is no menu just what the waiter offers oh and no price either, it was revealed on the receipt. I decided on the Flan topped with coffee Baileys. It was delicious, the baileys really added to the flan and the flan wasn't too cold nor tasted like they just took it out of the fridge with that refrigerator taste. It was a winner as well, it was so rich and could have been shared but I had no one to share it with. Oh well, poor me, all to myself. Now the dog. As I was sitting at the table I looked to the hostess station and saw a waiter and hostess caressing a giant and I mean giant Pitbull, as gorgeous as it was, and I raised 2 pitbulls why would they allow this dog inside the restaurant, it wasn't a patrons dog. I'm glad I saw this because before I left I told the waiter to make sure the dog was chained up as to not have it lunge at my dog. What a liability that would be for the owner of this restaurant.

In Napa for the evening and met a large party of friends for dinner. Rudolpho, Ruben and Carlos took care of our party. I'm not a person that pays for chips n salsa (not a norm where I live and have visited) but Rudolpho said they were delicious and he did not tell a lie. Chips were house made and they were like Lay's...can't have just one! We upgraded and ordered the guacamole...outstanding! For entree I ordered the fish tacos with rice and beans. White fish, battered and fried perfectly but not seasoned. Beans were plump and creamy, the rice was dry and tasteless. Good service, nice aesthetic, nice downtown vibe.

I was craving guac so we ended up at Los Agaves. There was seating outside so we decided on that. Though cute, the chairs were a little uncomfortable as they didn't offer a lot of support and the bottom of the chair cut off on my thigh in a weird spot. Our server was quick to greet us and take order. I got a margarita and it was a good balance of tequila and add-ins and not too sweet. We started with guac. It was super fresh and the chips were great. They did refill our chips, which was nice. We also got the esquites to share, which were a little different than expected but not bad. The aioli on it was almost peppery, which isn't my favorite take on street corn. I got the quessabirria tacos for my main. They were a little wet still but overall nice chewy cheese and filled with a good enough of meat. Overall, we enjoyed your dinner and would consider returning when we're back in town. Maybe just an inside spot this time!

Margaritas

Very good! We picked this on a whim, and it was soo good! Margaritas were delicious, and chips are salsa are sooo good! We split quesobirria tacos and chicken quesadillas. All of it was delicious!

Restaurant is very cute. Unfortunately food is not very good. Chips are an up charge. We ordered beef enchiladas but got chicken and no one came to check on our table and the restaurant was almost empty. I ordered something that the waiter said was like skirt steak fajitas. It was not good and the guacamole in the description is a little thin green sauce. Seafood enchiladas just overcooked seafood with bland sauce and tasteless beans. Overpriced lunch with mediocre food.

The service was great and quick! We enjoyed everything we ordered! The vibe was really nice and it was close to the water which as nice if you plan on walking around!

The restaurant was beautiful. I enjoyed the aesthetic.. The service was exceptional. The staff treated us very nice and took very good care of us. The bartender was very kind and our server Edgar was awesome.. They have a wonderful tequila section and I love their burrito 10 out of 10.

Los Agaves: More Than Just a Meal -- It's a Community Experience At Los Agaves, food is only the beginning. While many places claim to be about more than just the menu, Los Agaves truly delivers on that promise--with incredible homestyle dishes and a chef who brings soul to every plate, all wrapped in a welcoming, family-like atmosphere. The staff exude warmth, making you feel like you're part of their extended family from the moment you walk in. This place is about community building in the most authentic way. Every time I've pulled up a seat at the bar, I've left with something more--whether it's a new business contact, a genuine friendship, or a memorable conversation with someone who generously shared a piece of their life. And the margaritas? Next level. Each one is a custom creation by bartenders who are more like life cheerleaders. They mix more than drinks--they connect people. Watching them blend fresh fruits and veggie-based purées into cocktails right in front of you just adds to the magic. As for the food--don't miss the nachos and tacos. What truly elevates them are the vibrant, house-made salsas and expertly roasted meats--always tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. You can even catch the staff hand-crafting salsas on the spot, infusing each dish with care and authenticity. Los Agaves isn't just a restaurant--it's a space that brings people together, where local meets global, and strangers become friends. That's Napa style.

Los Agaves Mexican Cuisine, located at 660 Main Street in Napa's waterfront area, has become a favorite spot for locals and visitors craving authentic Mexican flavors. During our last visit to Napa, we decided to have lunch there for the first time. Known for its fresh ingredients and traditional recipes, Los Agaves offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. Since its opening, it has developed a loyal following by serving classic dishes like tacos, enchiladas, and fajitas, along with house specialties based on family recipes. We started with guacamole, and I enjoyed their special hibiscus margarita, which was fantastic! If you like margaritas, I highly recommend it. For the main course, we ordered asada/steak tacos and a carnitas plate--all were delicious. For dessert, we tried their tres leches and flan, and we enjoyed both. The young lady and other servers who attended to our table were very kind and attentive. She carefully answered our questions and explained everything. Los Agaves' location near the Napa River adds to its charm, making it a top dining destination in downtown Napa. Napa.

With a wasabi and fennel infused vodka, it was too unique not to be curious about. Upon arriving and looking over the menu, SEVERAL cocktails stood out to me as intriguing to try. I started with the Wabi Sabi which was as interesting as it sounded. While I didn't pick up on fennel, you do pick up on the wasabi, but in the most subtle of ways. Think maybe lime/ginger sparkling water with just a hint of spice. Refreshing and different for sure. I also tried the Mucha Lucha w/ cilantro infused Siete Leguas Blanco, chorizo infused mezcal and cubes made of hot sauce that make the drink have a bit more of a kick as you allow them to melt. I did the HH chips and guac which was also accompanied with a tasty Chipotle sauce. Damn good actually. It'd be excellent served in a variety of ways. The deviled eggs aren't going to blow your mind, but I like that you get 4 different ones- and simply because I love eggs, I'd order them again. (They just wouldn't be a dish that brings me back). Conveniently located near several downtown staple stops, it's an easy addition to an afternoon or evening exploring the area. The cocktail menu is extensive, with plenty of creative options and stories behind many of the drinks. For my fellow gin cocktail girlies, I'd recommend starting with the Bronx Cocktail. For round two, the Bee's Sneeze is another solid choice. I paired my drinks with the lobster roll, which was the standout food item of my visit. The bun was light, fluffy, and perfectly toasted. While the lobster salad wasn't the best I've ever had, it was a very solid bite for a dive-lounge-style bar. I'd skip the chips it comes with, but the fries are absolutely worth ordering. One small service hiccup worth mentioning: the fries are listed as coming with a herb aioli, but mine arrived with ketchup. When I asked about the aioli, my server initially tried to play it off before eventually sharing that they were out. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but it was an odd interaction that could have been handled more directly. The atmosphere is a dark, casual lounge with a cozy hole-in-the-wall feel along the river. The staff was welcoming. If you're looking to trade wine tasting for a cocktail side quest, The Fink is definitely worth a visit.

I've had a traditional Mai Tai a million of times. Do you have Tiki Drinks that are going to make me want to drive 45 minutes to you? On top of that, is your food worth it? I'm happy to say that the answer to both of these questions are yes. I've gone here 3 times within the last two weeks and one item that is a constant order is the Orange Chicken. Nowadays I think people are used to the classic super sweet Panda Express style Orange Chicken that you'll also see occasionally at your local Chinese food restaurant. Wilfred's Orange Chicken definitely is sweet but its not as sweet as what I used to and I'm not mad about it. There's a lot of depth with the sauce. I don't know if they are just putting more soy sauce or dark soy sauce...Maybe it's Oyster/Fish sauce? Theres definitely some kind of extra Umami going on. An added plus is that it pair perfectly with the tanginess of the Pineapple Fried Rice. For drinks my favorites have been the Manta Ray and the Sanfroyosko. The reason being is just because these have been the more unique ones that I've been really enjoying. The Manta Ray is more tropical than one might think. However it's tropical with a bit of funk. The combination of the Gin, Falernum, and Sauv Blanc Syrup really add to the complexity. The other drink I really like is the Sanfroyosko. If you are a Mai Tai lover, this is the one to try. The substitution of the typical tums with the Shochu, Sake and Pisco add even more of a Wine and floral flavor profile to the drink. On top of that the Sesame Orgeat gives and even more nuttier flavor than normal. But despite all these flavors going on, it still kinda tastes like a Mai Tai. The service has always been amazing. Every person who has served us has served us with a smile. But even despite how friendly they are, there still remains this sense of professionalism with their interactions. They check in at the perfect times. They ask how we are enjoying everything and share their favorite things to drink/eat. With the amazing tiki decor and island music, you really do feel like you are on an Island anytime you eat here.
