Blown away by how good this spot is!!! I am a beyond picky eater. I'm pescatarian and not a huge breakfast fan anymore. This restaurant made me want to eat breakfast more. Tuesday morning my coworkers and I had a team meeting at this restaurant. The staff was superb, Everyone was friendly and helpful. Ambience was nice. I ordered the salmon Benedict. The smoked salmon, was great, the English muffin was yummy, and the hollandaise sauce was one of the best I've ever tasted. In fact my friend couldn't stop eating too. My coworkers had Nutella crepes and huevos rancheros. We all can't wait to go back! We work in the outlets and we are so thrilled to finally have a great restaurant near work. My wife and I saw this place a few weeks ago in route to another restaurant and we liked the look. Our eyeballs were on point, because our meal today was very good. I had the meatball soup with a salad and my wife had the chilaquiles and we both very much enjoyed the dishes. Restaurant was very clean and orderly despite being busy. Loris has been on my radar for a while and while running errands we were able to stop in for breakfast. At 0830 on a Friday the place was fairly slow so ample room to choose a booth of our desire. The menu is extensive with lots to choose from it actually became difficult to decide. I love the small carafe of coffee they leave at the table eliminating the need to ask for a refill which helps when they're busy. I ordered the poblano eggs Benedict that had slow cooked meats roasted chiles and the standard eggs Benedict faire, English muffin poached egg and hollandaise sauce. The flavors paired great together and I powered through it in quick fashion. The hash browns were perfectly crispy probably the best I've had in a long time! I think the best part was the menu looked lake massive portions but everything was perfectly sized to walk away satisfied and not leave waste. First what a GREAT way to start brunch but a Bloody Mary. Not only was it made well, adorned with celery, olives, bacon it was the Tajin along the rim that made it great. Salmon Benedict was perfect with spinach, salmon, poached eggs with muffin and hollandaise. The country potatoes should be replaced with crispy hash browns. I was honestly surprised at how much I enjoyed the food here. Our breakfast was delicious. Hubby and I decided on a late brunch meal when we were shopping at the outlets. I've seen this location changed from different restaurant to restaurant, so I came in with little expectations. The place was busy, but we were immediately greeted and seated. I ordered the country fried steak (my go to meal), with scrambled eggs, and hash browns, while my husband got the turkey club sandwich. Everything came out pretty fast, despite being pretty busy. The servers were very friendly, and attentive to our needs. As for the food, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I had to ask for me gravy, which was delicious, in which they provided pretty immediately. The country fried steak was a good consistency, and the gravy had good flavor. My husband also liked his food, and there were no leftovers. I would definitely come eat here again for brunch. The service was very unorganized. Hostess took our name and said 15 mins, we followed up with her after 20 mins and she walked away to bus tables. Our server then seated us, took our order and basically disappeared after giving us our drinks. Food took too long to come out of the kitchen and was served to us cold. Server only brought 3 orders out and said he would be right back with the 4th. He then started bussing tables, making drinks and taking other orders. After 10 mins or more I asked what appeared to be a manager for ketchup and syrup and where our 4th order was and he acted like he didn't have time to help when he was just standing at the counter. He went to look for the server but still did not give us ketchup or syrup. When the server did finally bring the 4th order it was also cold. The food was mediocre at best. They were out of their specialty beef on rye sandwich, the scrambled eggs tasted nasty and the quality of the breakfast sandwich meat and cheese was terrible. The reviews on Yelp show Lour's cafe has 5 stars for great good and Sunday brunch. We arrived and a line was out the door with guest waiting to get in. We were seated right away. The menu was extensive, it had a large selection plates to choose from. The restaurant is authentic mexican food. We ordered a variety of different plates. The plates were great portion size, served hot, not spicy, authentic homemade mexican food at its finest. All served with hash browns or fries, eggs, toast. With a large party of 15 people we had a pleasure of having Leo our waiter cater to our big party. What outstanding customer services we all received from Leo. He made sure we all had drinks filled at all times. He took our large food order and made no mistakes on anybody's order. He served us a class act in service. We couldn't thank him for fabulous service he provided our 15 person party. We are very pleased and will spread the word on Loru's cafe for excellent authentic Mexican food at its best. The service was good, but the food was astonishingly bad. My 17 year old who eats everything left most of his food on the plate. Honestly, I didn't know it was possible to mess up French fries! I returned my clam chowder because it tasted like old fish, and asked for the vegetable soup instead. The vegetable soup, while better, was so oily I couldn't stomach eating any of the broth. This place has such good reviews, I was looking forward to trying it. 4.5 starts on Yelp isn't easy to come by. I came on a Saturday around 11 am and it was not very busy (probably because of the dreary weather). We were seated in the patio (by request) and the waitress came to take our drink order right away. I asked for a coffee and to have some milk with it. The waitress said they don't have milk, only creamer. I canceled the coffee and just got water because I don't like creamer. I noticed after that they have a whole coffee shop with espresso and lattes, how could they not have any milk? For breakfast we ordered a wet breakfast burrito with a side of pancakes and the corned beef hash and eggs with toast. I got the eggs over medium because I don't like it when they're too runny. After a pretty long wait, we finally got our food. The burrito was massive, like the size of someone's head. The burrito was pretty good and the pancakes were decent. However, the corned beef has was grainy and mushy, not too pleasant. The eggs were so undercooked that they the yokes weren't only runny, but the whites were still half clear. Gross. The only saving grace of the plate was the hash browns that were good and crispy. Overall, I'd describe this place as old diner food but for twice the price. There are much better breakfast places in Camarillo, so I probably wouldn't come back here. read more

It's nice to go here before the Outlets open to start your day, then take a stroll before or while taking on your shopping day. Been here two times for breakfast. Both times fast seating & great service, so great experiences. They offer Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. There's so many items on their menu, that I see myself coming back here again & again. I took my Fam visiting from Vegas here & they enjoyed their visit. Breakfast has big portions to fill our bellies. Lots of sweets for breakfast too for all you sweet tooth's like me... They have Mimosa's & unlimited Mimosa's for 90 mins for you alcoholics. I appreciate their fresh squeezed Orange Juice (no FR btw). If you are stumped on what to order, try their Loru's choice items which seem to sound so good. The Cinnamon Rolls French Toast were good! Fluffy & soft & Satisfied my sweet tooth. Had to make it a combo & try their hash browns this time. Just how I like it, not super soft but with a little crunch. Home potatoes I already know tasted good. Came to this place last night in Camarillo located conveniently by the outlets for diner. I had high expectations due to reviews but I was a bit disappointed partially in the food. When we went, it was basically empty and our server was very kind and quick. Place is very clean and condiments were filled and organized. So far so good. However when I ordered chicken and waffles, I expected actual chicken and waffles. They're basically those chicken tenders from theme parks that are for kids. I was pretty disappointed in that, luckily the waffles were very good. Dusted with powdered sugar and integrated with chocolate chips, these were some of the best waffles iv had as well. They were fluffy, and not too big so you can eat them one at a time. I've read great reviews about this place, so we went to try it. I should have instead sorted reviews by "Newest first" instead of the default "Yelp sort" to get more honest reviews rather than the positive, filtered ones with "Yelp sort". Doing that would have saved me and my family from a gross lunch and poor customer experience here. What happened... After being seated, we waited for 15 minutes until someone came to our table to take our drink order while 5-8 employees gathered around the back counter talking to each other. Another 20 minutes go by (while the employees continue to hang out at the counter) before we flag someone to take our order. 20 minutes later, and we flag our waitress to ask if our food is almost ready. She seems annoyed, says it'll be another 10-15 minutes, and walks away. She (no one) offers to refill our drinks or check on us... we always had to flag someone to help us. My 4-year-old and one-year-old at this point are so hungry that my husband takes them to Wetzle's Pretzels for some food. About 10 minutes later, the manager comes over and tells us that the waitress put our order in, but the printer didn't print it in the kitchen, so it hasn't been made, so it'll be another 10-15 minutes. He says this all while laughing, then says "You, know, it happens!" before laughing more and walking away. I was stunned... at this point, we've been in the restaurant for nearly an hour and had only consumed one round of drinks, while the manager thinks it's hilarious that they've made us wait an hour for food and doesn't apologize or offer to comp anything! Once our food finally came out, it was mediocre at best. My husband ordered the chilaquiles and he said it was bland. I ordered the tuna melt, which had room-temperature tuna and half-melted cheese and the plate was full of grease - much more so than with a standard tuna melt. We again had to flag someone down for the check. Our waitress came back with the check and said the manager was kind enough to give us the "family discount". I looked at the check... our total was about $65 and the "family discount" took off $9. Management - you need to do better. First, don't make light of a bad situation - it makes your customer feel dismissed. Second, APOLOGIZE and offer to make it right once you know there is an issue, especially if the issue is fully on you, not the customer. read more

My husband and I eat out quite alot, and Alex was very attentive, courteous, and polite. He seemed intent on providing good service. The food was good.
