There are no words to describe how extremely satisfied I am with Lorton Auto Service Center. After years of getting the run around from other local shops and fleeced by any dealership, it's refreshing to finally find a straight forward business I feel I can trust. First, I took my Ford Fusion in for a state inspection on a Thursday morning and I was in and out in no time. I was also having some additional issues with my Chevy Silverado which I discussed with John during the state inspection. Unfortunately, they were booked through the following week. John offered for me to come back later the same morning for a free diagnostic so I could at least find out what the issue was; he even went further and drove with me in the truck to hear the specific noises in the rear differential. He suggested some courses of action and even said if I could leave the truck they could likely have it completed by the end of the day or next morning at the latest. Gabe was straight forward with the pricing for the services, giving me his bottom line price without a hassle. When the initial service didn't fix one of the main problems, Gabe called me with a frank discussion about what was next and my options. Needless to say, with a 20% chance of a much less expensive repair fixing my problem, it worked and I probably should've taken Gabe's suggestion to by a lottery ticket that day! Gabe, John, and the mechanics at Lorton Auto Service Center provide top notch customer service and genuinely seem like good people; they also do quality work. Went in for a VA safety inspection, after a meticulously inspection, more that what is required, i was presented with the rejection notice and a list of suggested/unnecessary repairs costing $400+. Luckily, I know my vehicle very well and decided to tackled the "Required repairs" myself. A week later and $60 worth of new parts, I came back for a re-inspection (cost $1), and vehicle met all of the inspection requirements. While waiting in the costumer service area, I also witnessed customers being offered unnecessary repairs! Overall, I will not recommend this shop! read more

1967 Cadillac Deville...My experience today was horrible!!! They claim not to be a service provider that makes the customer pay for useless/unwanted services. Where on God's green earth do you pay $134+ for a $5 can of degreaser and $101+ for labor to spray off the degreaser. Mind you, I had already degreased the engine compartment prior to bringing the car in. I pin pointed the leaked, I was charged for something I had already shown. When I thought that was bad, I was charged $167 to adjust 3 drive belts, not replace with new ones, but adjust my own belts!! Really and this is supposed to be the #1 shop in 22079, I beg to differ. I recently had my car serviced with Lorton Auto Service for the first time and I couldn't be more pleased. One of the technicians actually stopped on the side of the road to help me with an overheating car. Once the issues were diagnosed, updates were provided as appropriate and the repairs were done within the estimated time . The staff was honest about repairs needed now and those that could wait for a future service appointment. I took my truck to Won and Choi after failing a state safety inspection for my front steering. They checked it out and told me they didn't find any problem with it and suggested I take it back to the tester to get more specifics from them on what the problem was. I took it to a second tester and passed with no problems. Won didn't even charge me to take a look at the truck. An's Auto just won my business till I leave this area. I had a great experience with Lorton Auto Service Center! My Hyundai Sonata Turbo needed brakes, alignment, a tire repaired, and an oil change. The staff was very friendly from the start. I messaged them and received a response within a very short time scheduling my appointment on my requested date and time. The location was easy to find. It was clean with a variety of coffee, magazines and a tv to watch during your wait. The staff are very friendly. They asked me easy to understand questions and really listened to my thoughts and concerns. As a woman, it is even more refreshing to be treated with respect at an auto service center. They quickly reviewed my vehicle and provided me with a very reasonable quote (which was over a hundred dollars less than the dealership)! They didn't try to sell me any unnecessary services. The actual service took some time, but they informed me of the need to order the parts from a nearby supplier which I completely expected and understood because the Turbo model requires specific parts. I had my car serviced there today and I was more than happy with the service I received from Fred and the crew. It was definitely a last minute, "can you squeeze me in" kind of appointment as I am heading out of town and needed to make sure my car was good for the long drive. Fred walked me through some issues I had with my car and made sure I took care of what I needed to. Being a girl, I more times than not receive the "your x,y and z is going bad, since you're here you might as well get it done but it'll cost you" line and with Fred I never got that. I was made aware of what I need to get done, what to keep an eye out for and what was in excellent shape. I went in for a brake replacement and I walked out with a full inspection of my car! When one owns a BMW people usually go to the dealership for the service but honestly I found my new mechanic to rely on at Lorton Auto Service Center. I was looking to get my BMWs brakes pads fixed, the rotors, and the sensors. First called and talk to Gabe. He was really nice and patient with all my questions and gave me the estimated cost. It was really reasonable comparing with the price that BMW dealership offered. I decided to make app for Monday ( today ) but was afraid to drive in mean time ( didn't know how serious things are ) so he offered to check my car condition and make sure it was safe to drive. When I brought it to the shop on Monday Fred was thorough with his work and I was treated like family. I was offered a wide selection of drinks while I waited for my car to be fixed and I trusted all the work they did to my car. Jon, Fred and Gabe are my new "go to guys " ! I had recently had standard maintenance done on my car at a dealership, and they recommended I service the "Mass air flow system" and desludge the "throttle body" (yes, I had to look at my paper work from that day to remember what those were called). I declined to have it done then, because I knew it would be expensive. I wanted to get it done somewhere cheaper, but it hard to know what mechanics and auto shops are quality. My parents had raved about this place to me, so I visited the shop half an hour before closing on a Saturday to see if they could schedule an appointment to get this service done. When I showed Gabe (who already impressed me with a warm, enthusiastic greeting and a smile), the paper with the recommendation, he immediately said that is something they could do, for cheaper than I would have been charged at the dealership... and they could do it right away. I was a bit taken aback, figuring I would just make an appointment and come back later; but he said it would take merely around half and hour, and I did want to get it done. I gratefully accepted, and I went to wait in the neat, clean reception area where I could help myself to water, tea or coffee and watch their TV or read a magazine. 30 minutes later, my car was done and ready to go! I was highly impressed with the quality of service, their honesty, and their prices. I am done going to the dealership. I'd much rather come here. read more

Been meaning to write this review for awhile. Brought an older (1991) Jeep Cherokee in for a radiator replacement and to replace my oil pan to fix a minor leak that was bugging me. Radiator replacement went fine, however the oil pan started leaking the moment i started it. I had to bring it back 4 separate times, it is worse now. I think the worst part is they blamed it on my main seal and I agreed to have that changed as well, to no avail. Not recommended. read more

I love this place. They did an excellent job on changing my front rotors. It only took an hour and was nearly half the cost compared to other mechanics (cost $250 w/ labor for my Honda Accord 2006; other places ranged from $300-$400!). They even helped me save money which most mechanics don't do now-a-days. Later that day, I brought my husband here to have his brake pads changed, and again, they exceeded my expectations. My husband went with the premium pads. The other mechanic quoted him $220; Won, gave us an estimate of $160 (premium Akebono brake pads $80/labor +$80 for pads). I'm so happy I now have a mechanic I can trust. read more

This is the second time I've come here, first time I brought my moms car for an oil change and after they told me the car needed a bunch of stuff done so we took it to another place and they told us that nothing needed to be done. This time I brought my car in, I bought a groupon for an oil change and tire rotation. I don't know a lot about cars but they said I needed a different type of oil then what the groupon said.... so I called my dad and he said that's not right. So I had to pay a 50$ difference (in addition to the 60$ Groupon). I had a thought that they didn't know about the tire rotation so I went up to the lady (she was very nice ) and asked her if I was still getting it. She went to the guy doing my car and told him that she just found out, but it was on the groupon??? After my car was done they came out with a paper full of things I need to do to my car. My car is a 2013 Honda Odyssey, it has a lot of miles but my dad and I keep up on the car. They told me my car needed my spark plugs replaced which I did last month along wit a bunch of other stuff that my dad and I have done already to my car. We will not be coming back here ever again. Also they had a bird there wit a cage. I walk in and there is poop on the floor and it pooped behind the desk. The bird wasn't in a cage! In conclusion, I spent over 100$ for an oil change and tire rotation when I should not have. read more
