Went to LongHorn and had an incredible experience as usual. Went on a Sunday night and our waiter, Austin R., was the absolute best. We sat down and he immediately took care of us. We ordered the wings and shrimp as appetizers as well as the margaritas. They were cooked to perfection. As we waited for the food, Austin was honest and told us that a cook accidentally dropped my burger and was preparing another one so the wait would be a little longer. We weren't mad or really noticed the wait as we were thoroughly enjoying the apps. Austin also told us because of the wait, he had removed one of the appetizers. That's customer service! When the food arrived it was just as good but between the complimentary bread and apps, we didn't eat much of the main course. We ordered the LongHorn Burger and 9oz Parm Crusted Chicken! We have been to LongHorn a lot and have never had a bad experience but Austin's positive energy definitely made this a more memorable experience.

Half rack of baby back ribs and crispy brussel sprouts.

I'm not a big steak person so I tend to avoid the chain steakhouses but a colleague said I had to try Longhorn's baby back ribs and brussel sprouts. I went on a Saturday night with a friend and even around 9:30 PM the restaurant was busy. I got half a rack of baby back ribs and they were melt-in-your-mouth, fall off the bone tender. So delicious! In fact, they might be some of the best ribs I've had in years. The crispy brussel sprouts had a perfect crunch with a savory-sweet glaze. I honestly couldn't eat them fast enough. One of the few times I have thought to order more on the spot. The price is decent for the amount of food you receive, although I didn't leave any leftovers to take home. Our waitress was friendly and overall the experience was a positive one. I would return to this Longhorn location and it goes without saying what I would order next time.

Half-Pound Steakhouse Cheeseburger with Loaded Baked Potato and Half and Half Sweet Tea

For a few weeks I've been hearing that LongHorn Steakhouse has some delicious burgers, so I had to try it for myself! Todays lunch special for $10 on the menu was a "Half-Pound Steakhouse Cheeseburger with Loaded Baked Potato" and my drink selection was a Half & Half Sweet Tea. My service was delightful and the environment was clean and inviting. My popular cheeseburger did live up to its hype. Cooked through and through, seasoned beef and cooked all the way through and still was juicy!! Longhorn has their personal burger sauce and it was a great combo on my burger. I chose a loaded potato as my side (without bacon) and it as delicious, cheesy and buttery. If you are free stop by and let me know what you think about this popular lunch selection.

New York Strip

This was my first time trying out Longhorn and I heard pretty good reviews from friends. When you walk in, the ambiance is really nice. It is decorated with a western theme yet still has the feel of a dining experience rather than a casual restaurant. The staff was very friendly, from the moment we walked in to the time of the check. Our waitress, Bri, was very attentive and accommodating. Great service overall. Now for the food. This place is known for its meats, so we of course had to partake in ordering steaks. We got the New york Strip with French Fries and the Ribeye with Loaded Mashed Potatoes. Both meats were cooked to our desired term of MED-RARE. The NY Strip was perfectly seasoned and cooked, it was delicious. The fries were also very good, just a little on the saltier side. The Ribeye on the other hand, had a good flavor but was fully overshadowed by the outrageous amount of black pepper it was covered in. This is coming from someone who likes pepper and spicy foods. For this plate was not spicy, it was just overpowered by the taste of the pepper, to the point you could feel the peppers hit the back of your throat before you could really taste the meat. The mashed potatoes were good but I would probably opt out of getting them loaded next time.

Cowboy Pork Chops. Waffle House has thicker chops. These were tough and cold. Overpriced at $19.99.

Unfortunately there was not enough vegetarian food for me to eat so didn't have a good meal, I will not be going back.

It's been a local establishment for years and I see why it's located in a very obvious old Pizza Hut restaurant but yet it doesn't feel that way while inside. Staff was very responsive considering how busy they were and the food was amazing if you get a chance to visit you should definitely try it as it is a local gem.

Parking is out front, along the side, and back behind the restaurant, which is on NW 13th Street. I got the rib dinner half slab with potato salad and BBQ baked beans as my two sides. The meal also came with a piece of Texas toast. For the price ($22) there was a lot of food but the ribs ended up being more greasy than flavorful. Additional seasoning would have really kicked them up a notch. The BBQ baked beans and potato salad were about what you would expect and the Texas toast was literally just a piece of bread with little if any butter or spices on it. I'm hoping this was just a one-off circumstance for Adam's Rib Company and that the next time I try it I am more impressed.
