    Parmesan crusted chicken
    Ashlee G.

We stopped here for a quick dinner last week I added myself on the waitlist and when I got there my table was ready which was convenient. Walked in and got to our table ordered some waters and the shrimp appetizer and of course I had to order my favorite Parmesan crusted chicken. Waiter came and basically slammed down our waters which was rude and slammed the appetizer down as well. Food came out and immediately tasted the chicken and it was WAY too salty. I've gotten this over and over when I visit a TLHSH restaurant and never have a had to send it back. Tracked down my waiter and let them know the manager came by and insisted he came send it back. Not only was mine salty but my husbands tastes the same exact way so we both got to order something different on the menu and at that point we were not even hungry anymore. Disappointed in that but hopefully it was just a bad day or bad batch. Maybe I'll try again sometime

6 ounce sirloin and fried okra

We went to Longhorn Steakhouse in Bastrop for lunch a few days ago and I can honestly say I was pleased with everything except the prices. I really was surprised how expensive the lunch menu was. I can only imagine the regular menu! I got the 6 ounce steak and my friend got the 8 ounce, and mine turned out to be better because it wasn't as thick. The loaded baked potato and the fried okra both tasted really good. The flavor of the steak was excellent! The server was very friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. My only complaint is the price. I am wondering if the prices at the Texas Roadhouse that's being built will be just as high.

As a new restaurant that was a much needed steakhouse in Bastrop, only open a week and they hit it out of the ballpark. We used the "waitlist " option and went straight to the bar. We had a 5 minute wait until anyone spoke, even though the bar only sat maybe 15 people. After receiving the drinks, we almost immediately got notified our table was ready. Note: if you order anything from the bar, you must pay for it then, and not added to your ticket later. Our waiter, Colton, was known from another restaurant we frequent and we're glad we were able to have him wait on us. Very knowledgeable about the new menu, quick to attend to any needs or questions we had. Took our order and after receiving our food quickly, and cooked to perfection. It was sooo much food, we couldn't even finish it all. The mood of the restaurant was nice, with staff shaking and moving around and many of them stopping to clear plates or check if we needed anything. Even the corporate trainers stopped by to welcome us. Watching the numbers of customers coming and going leads one to believe Longhorn made a great decision to build here in beautiful Bastrop! Overall a wonderful experience and great atmosphere!

    Ribeye Loaded Baked Potato

Great service by Brianna. Fast, delicious food. Great ranch which is a must for a salad. The ribeyes were perfectly cooked. I got the big bone in which was good, but I did prefer my wife's smaller ribeye for the flavor. The stuffed mushrooms were also very good. I had so much food that I could not eat half of it. But trust me I brought it home and ate it for lunch the next day at work. I highly recommend this place.

I went there with my husband as first time. I waited like 15-20 mins for table cuz kinda busy on that time. They had waiting area inside. We got Maggie as server. Service was great.

Made our first stop into Longhorns Bastrop last night. They did not disappoint and as a new location they will continue to improve. We had the pleasure of meeting Dillian and he took great care of us. Keep up the great work.

Horrible service from the G.M on duty on 5/4/26. Ruined a birthday dinner for a family of 10 that will never go back.

After waiting for an hour when we were told 25 minutes, the manager told us we could "sit down and wait, or leave I don't care what you do"

The strawberry pecan salad and potato soup was very good; however, the shrimp appetizer was not so good, The shrimp were not Deveined.

I genuinely cannot believe I've never written a review for Paw-Paw's Catfish House because we have…read morebeen coming here for YEARS and I love this place so much. There are restaurants you try once because they're trendy... and then there are places like Paw-Paw's -- the kind that become part of your family's story over time. From the fried deviled eggs, to the seafood platters, to the chicken tenders, to the genuinely wonderful staff, there just isn't a better spot for this kind of old-school comfort food experience. And the staff? Always SO friendly and welcoming. Every single time we come in, it feels less like "customer service" and more like old friends excited you finally stopped by so they can catch up with you awhile. That kind of warmth cannot be faked, and it makes such a difference. Now let's discuss these fried deviled eggs. Because respectfully... who allowed them to be this good? You think deviled eggs have reached their final form and then Paw-Paw's comes in like, "Hold my beer." Crispy, crunchy, creamy, flavorful perfection. We start most meals with them because not ordering them would simply be poor decision making at this point. I usually get the chicken tender basket and LISTEN -- these aren't sad little freezer tenders pretending to be a meal. These tenders are literally as big as my hand. Juicy, tender, flavorful, cooked perfectly every time. My adult kids are obsessed with the seafood platter: three pieces of fried catfish and three jumbo fried shrimp with fries, pinto beans, slaw, hushpuppies, and homemade tartar or cocktail sauce. And when I say the catfish tastes CLEAN, my fellow seafood people will understand exactly what I mean. No muddy taste, no weirdness -- just fresh, crispy, perfectly fried fish done right. And the portions? Paw-Paw did NOT come to play. Nobody is leaving hungry unless that was a personal choice. What I love most, though, is the feeling of the place. The small-town care. The heart that clearly goes into the food. The old-school comfort vibe that feels increasingly rare these days. Places like this matter. And Paw-Paw's is absolutely one of them.
