This was hands down the best LongHorn Steakhouse experience I've ever had. I stopped in after a workout because I was craving a good steak, and LongHorn absolutely delivered. From the moment I sat down, my waitress was phenomenal. She was friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient without ever making me feel rushed. I was in and out in about an hour, which was exactly what I was looking for. I started with a Texas Tea, which was refreshing and well made. I also ordered the Wild West Shrimp as an appetizer. They had great flavor, although they were just a little saltier than my personal preference. For my entrée, I ordered the ribeye cooked medium rare, and they nailed it. It was juicy, tender, and cooked exactly as requested. The loaded baked potato was excellent, but the real surprise was the fried okra. It was easily the best fried okra I've ever had. Perfectly crispy, well seasoned, and impossible to stop eating. Everything came out hot, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Between the food, the quick service, and the welcoming staff, this was one of the best LongHorn visits I've ever had. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm craving a steak. read more

I went there on a Tuesday night, to take my nephew out to dinner before leaving back home to California. We went around 5:30 pm, plenty of parking, we were seated right away. Our server, she was very sweet, took our drink and appetizer order before ordering the main dish. The wait was not long for the drinks and appetizers... we put in our dinner order. Wait wasn't long either for our Filet Mignon dinners. All the food and drinks came out perfectly! The experience from the time you walked in .. we were greeted, seated to the ordering.. was pleasant.. all smiles from everyone! We stopped here for a quick dinner last week I added myself on the waitlist and when I got there my table was ready which was convenient. Walked in and got to our table ordered some waters and the shrimp appetizer and of course I had to order my favorite Parmesan crusted chicken. Waiter came and basically slammed down our waters which was rude and slammed the appetizer down as well. Food came out and immediately tasted the chicken and it was WAY too salty. I've gotten this over and over when I visit a TLHSH restaurant and never have a had to send it back. Tracked down my waiter and let them know the manager came by and insisted he came send it back. Not only was mine salty but my husbands tastes the same exact way so we both got to order something different on the menu and at that point we were not even hungry anymore. Bastrop definitely needed a good family friendly steak house and Longhorn answered. It's nice to have a place to go with the family and not break the bank. TIP: Call or check in online to get in line ahead of time! When we arrived we didn't know about that so we had a little wait but plenty of places to sit and wait. We ordered the New York strip and the Outlaw. We preferred the New York surprisingly. The okra and baked potatoes were delicious and would definitely order that again. Our server was nice and attentive and we never were looking for him or felt forgotten. We will for sure be back! read more

We went to Longhorn Steakhouse in Bastrop for lunch a few days ago and I can honestly say I was pleased with everything except the prices. I really was surprised how expensive the lunch menu was. I can only imagine the regular menu! I got the 6 ounce steak and my friend got the 8 ounce, and mine turned out to be better because it wasn't as thick. The loaded baked potato and the fried okra both tasted really good. The flavor of the steak was excellent! The server was very friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. My only complaint is the price. I am wondering if the prices at the Texas Roadhouse that's being built will be just as high. read more

We were excited to try our Longhorn but were left wanting and will not be returning. We entered, the hostess was overwhelmed but we were the only people in the entrance and the phone was ringing. We were seated quickly, our waitress was less than friendly. My husband and shared steak and shrimp; I didn't even finish eating either. Our third person got the chicken bites based off the waitress's recommendation as she said her husband "would drink the sauce" it was that good. As a new restaurant that was a much needed steakhouse in Bastrop, only open a week and they hit it out of the ballpark. We used the "waitlist " option and went straight to the bar. We had a 5 minute wait until anyone spoke, even though the bar only sat maybe 15 people. After receiving the drinks, we almost immediately got notified our table was ready. Note: if you order anything from the bar, you must pay for it then, and not added to your ticket later. Our waiter, Colton, was known from another restaurant we frequent and we're glad we were able to have him wait on us. Very knowledgeable about the new menu, quick to attend to any needs or questions we had. Took our order and after receiving our food quickly, and cooked to perfection. It was sooo much food, we couldn't even finish it all. The mood of the restaurant was nice, with staff shaking and moving around and many of them stopping to clear plates or check if we needed anything. Even the corporate trainers stopped by to welcome us. Watching the numbers of customers coming and going leads one to believe Longhorn made a great decision to build here in beautiful Bastrop! We have been several times and not terribly impressed. wait staff is thin when it comes to servicing tables and drinks. and why serve a salad with boxed croutons?!?! that does not enhance the fine dining experience. My husband and I came for an early dinner on a Saturday. There was already a wait so we decided to sit at the bar (full service). We were greeted immediately and promptly served our drinks. We ordered the queso and each of us ordered a steak (my husband got the Outlaw and I ordered regular ribeye). Both steaks came out cooked to our liking and our orders were perfectly executed. We've been to a number of Longhorn Steak House. This one is fantastic and how's the great same quality and excellent menu that all the other longhorn steakhouses have. Everything was cooked to perfection. Service was wonderful. And the ambiance in these steakhouses is always great. Shrimp was delicious, salads are freah. steaks were great. Highly recommended the brussel sprouts and the wild west shrimp. New restaurant in Bastrop. They've only been open a couple weeks. Highly recommend giving them a try. read more

Great service by Brianna. Fast, delicious food. Great ranch which is a must for a salad. The ribeyes were perfectly cooked. I got the big bone in which was good, but I did prefer my wife's smaller ribeye for the flavor. The stuffed mushrooms were also very good. I had so much food that I could not eat half of it. But trust me I brought it home and ate it for lunch the next day at work. I highly recommend this place. read more

Well while everyone is driving down Negative Lane, I'll share my experience. We went for lunch today. 3 of us plus a baby. Friendly greeting. There was a small wait, they quoted us 15 mins, but it was more like 7. Our waiter Maggi was AMAZING! So sweet, great service. We ate from the lunch specials menu. meals are $9.99-$12.99. We all got teas. I got unsweetened with a little peach flavor. Asked for it not to sweet and it was 1000% perfect. Our meals came. Large portions, everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. We had enough to take home to go boxes with us (lunch portion!). My bill was $47, left $60, for our amazing waiter - who did nothing extra, he just was exactly as you would expect for good service. I would go again, I would take my team with me again, I would recommend, and I support them. Yes, it's a chain, yes it's corporate - but it is an upgrade to the inconsistency and overpriced meals we've been dealing with until they showed up. I will be back, and give already added it to my list of places to go- at the risk of having to remove some of the local places that haven't been cutting it for a while now. read more

Went for lunch on Friday and was not impressed. Our server was great and really was trying. However, my burger was mediocre. I expected a little better quality since it's a steak house. Knowing it is still a new place and trying to give them grace, but, orders to our table came out wrong and had to be sent back. The "blooming onion" was so greasy. I think the worst part was just seeing what appeared to be a manager and serve staff hanging out at the waiters station, in the middle of the restaurant on their phones, chatting and showing each other their phones. I'm all for goofing off when it's appropriate. In the meantime, there was a line at the door, the serve staff that were working were working their asses off, while these guys looked like they were at a frat party. Not sure what staff they were, they were wearing black or red shirts. The manager was the worst of them all. Obviously not really caring about running the restaurant. Our server was great and very attentive, but the kitchen completely ruined the experience. We ordered queso for an appetizer and it came out ice cold -- not warm, not lukewarm, cold. That should have never left the kitchen. I ordered a steak with a baked potato and clearly asked for no sour cream and no cheese. The first one came out fully loaded. I asked for a replacement -- it came back again with sour cream and cheese. The third one had sour cream again. After three tries, I finally told them to just bring a plain baked potato. This wasn't a complicated request, and having to send back a baked potato multiple times is ridiculous. I felt bad for the server because they were trying, but the kitchen repeatedly ignored a very simple order. Very frustrating experience. read more

To start we were a party of six at on a sunday lunch rush - we waited 2 hours to be seated (several large groups in front of us - we were told 35 mins). After being seated - 20 mins for drinks, chicken fried steaks missing gravy and burnt (they did refry at it came out perfect), missing salads (they came after the manager got involved) - all in all 4 hours for a meal. Not sure I can recommend this location for large parties - every table with a smaller number seemed to have better experience. read more

If you feel like Longhorn, take the 30 minute drive to South Austin instead. First the hostess did not greet us just gave me a stare when we first walked in. So I had to initiate our party size we needed a table for. Then the waiter just didn't seem on it. Forgot chips we asked for, didn't fill drinks that were completely empty until we asked. We also had someone deliver our salads who brought one of the wrong salads and then never came back with the correct one. We had to ask for the missing salad too! The majority of the waitresses had RBF. When our food came our grilled shrimp was cold! And to top it off when our bill came we had items that were not ours! Sadly this visit was not worth the $200 meal we paid for. This location needs to get their act together, not going here anytime in the near future. read more

While the cuisine itself was quite enjoyable and the staff consistently courteous, I was disappointed by the service sequence. Our appetizer never arrived, and my entrée was brought out before the starter we had ordered. On Monday, I went with my mom to get a late Mother's Day lunch. We walked in around 11:45AM, and were thankful to see it wasn't as busy as we'd expected it to be (around 5 occupied tables). The hostess was very nice and sat us quickly, but unfortunately, we left after 15 minutes after watching the table next to us be tended to multiple times, while we never even had someone come by to take our drink order. After we got up and started walking out, a waitress that passed us immediately went to our booth and collected our menus. Originally we were just a bit bummed and figured the staff was likely tired from the craziness of the holiday the day before, but the waitress immediately going to clear the table before we were even halfway out the door irked us. That energy would've been nice with simply coming to take a drink order. Our first time visiting and we definitely were disappointed. Unsure of if it's a training issue or not, but I hope for others that they improve, because we'll likely not be back. read more

Atmosphere is very nice and well decorated. It felt very comfortable with all the longhorn decor but the food was "eh". I got the NY strip and it was super dry however med-well is understandable. My husband got the filet med-rare and his was super tough. The flavor was good though. I would say the appetizers are yummy starts with bread then we ordered the Texas tonion highly recommend! I was expecting better from a steakhouse but we will try it again, maybe it was an off day for the cooks? Our server was nice but was delayed for bar drinks OFTEN and seemed to keep forgetting about us while walking by BUT she was super sweet. I didn't like how the hostesses were clumped at the front laughing and talking, seemed unprofessional especially considering there were 3 parties waiting to be sat. Lastly, I definitely think it was a tad bit pricey for the quality of food. We paid $128 not including tip for our family of 4. Not too bad but wouldn't say it was worth it.
