Ribeye Loaded Baked Potato
Laudencio M.

Great service by Brianna. Fast, delicious food. Great ranch which is a must for a salad. The ribeyes were perfectly cooked. I got the big bone in which was good, but I did prefer my wife's smaller ribeye for the flavor. The stuffed mushrooms were also very good. I had so much food that I could not eat half of it. But trust me I brought it home and ate it for lunch the next day at work. I highly recommend this place.

I went there with my husband as first time. I waited like 15-20 mins for table cuz kinda busy on that time. They had waiting area inside. We got Maggie as server. Service was great.

As a new restaurant that was a much needed steakhouse in Bastrop, only open a week and they hit it out of the ballpark. We used the "waitlist " option and went straight to the bar. We had a 5 minute wait until anyone spoke, even though the bar only sat maybe 15 people. After receiving the drinks, we almost immediately got notified our table was ready. Note: if you order anything from the bar, you must pay for it then, and not added to your ticket later. Our waiter, Colton, was known from another restaurant we frequent and we're glad we were able to have him wait on us. Very knowledgeable about the new menu, quick to attend to any needs or questions we had. Took our order and after receiving our food quickly, and cooked to perfection. It was sooo much food, we couldn't even finish it all. The mood of the restaurant was nice, with staff shaking and moving around and many of them stopping to clear plates or check if we needed anything. Even the corporate trainers stopped by to welcome us. Watching the numbers of customers coming and going leads one to believe Longhorn made a great decision to build here in beautiful Bastrop! Overall a wonderful experience and great atmosphere!

T-bone med rare,loaded baked potato

Made our first stop into Longhorns Bastrop last night. They did not disappoint and as a new location they will continue to improve. We had the pleasure of meeting Dillian and he took great care of us. Keep up the great work.

Old Longhorn taste great

I asked for rare they gave me medium. Well they tried to compensate, but I really wasn't in the mood for it. The service was great, but the food was medium well instead of what I asked.

Horrible service from the G.M on duty on 5/4/26. Ruined a birthday dinner for a family of 10 that will never go back.

After waiting for an hour when we were told 25 minutes, the manager told us we could "sit down and wait, or leave I don't care what you do"

Another great meal today posing as a late lunch. Likely a good thing as I will not have to eat…read moreagain today. Service was great as always as well. Love the "feel" of the place. Wood floors, tin ceilings and walls and people of all walks of life. Nuthin better!

My friend insisted we go here for lunch because he was raving about "the best burger in town." I…read moreimmediately hit him with, "But I'm a vegetarian!" Lol. Pulling up to Roadhouse felt like I was about to film a low-budget country music video. The aggressively unpretentious energy was immaculate. The all-dirt parking lot said everything! No curated patio, no aesthetic succulents just straight up vibes and dust. The place was packed at 1 p.m. Our server, Raven, took great care of us from the jump. Rave was very efficient, friendly, and had zero attitude. We ordered a basket of fries, a portobello mushroom burger for me, a cheeseburger, a Philly cheesesteak, upgraded side salads, and, of course, their famous carrot cake to share. Now, let me confess something: As a Californian, I walked in with absolutely zero expectations given the facade. And yet... the fries were perfect. The portobello burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and very satisfying! My friends inhaled their cheeseburger and Philly like they were participating in a competitive sport. Lol. And don't even get me started with their carrot cake. It was disrespectfully delicious! This was seriously the most humbling "don't judge a book by its cover" moment I've had in a while. Roadhouse doesn't need any curated lighting or a reclaimed-wood Instagram wall because the food and service speak for themselves. I drove into a dirt lot with skepticism and left faceplanted by my own bias. Consider me corrected, Bastrop!

I genuinely cannot believe I've never written a review for Paw-Paw's Catfish House because we have…read morebeen coming here for YEARS and I love this place so much. There are restaurants you try once because they're trendy... and then there are places like Paw-Paw's -- the kind that become part of your family's story over time. From the fried deviled eggs, to the seafood platters, to the chicken tenders, to the genuinely wonderful staff, there just isn't a better spot for this kind of old-school comfort food experience. And the staff? Always SO friendly and welcoming. Every single time we come in, it feels less like "customer service" and more like old friends excited you finally stopped by so they can catch up with you awhile. That kind of warmth cannot be faked, and it makes such a difference. Now let's discuss these fried deviled eggs. Because respectfully... who allowed them to be this good? You think deviled eggs have reached their final form and then Paw-Paw's comes in like, "Hold my beer." Crispy, crunchy, creamy, flavorful perfection. We start most meals with them because not ordering them would simply be poor decision making at this point. I usually get the chicken tender basket and LISTEN -- these aren't sad little freezer tenders pretending to be a meal. These tenders are literally as big as my hand. Juicy, tender, flavorful, cooked perfectly every time. My adult kids are obsessed with the seafood platter: three pieces of fried catfish and three jumbo fried shrimp with fries, pinto beans, slaw, hushpuppies, and homemade tartar or cocktail sauce. And when I say the catfish tastes CLEAN, my fellow seafood people will understand exactly what I mean. No muddy taste, no weirdness -- just fresh, crispy, perfectly fried fish done right. And the portions? Paw-Paw did NOT come to play. Nobody is leaving hungry unless that was a personal choice. What I love most, though, is the feeling of the place. The small-town care. The heart that clearly goes into the food. The old-school comfort vibe that feels increasingly rare these days. Places like this matter. And Paw-Paw's is absolutely one of them.

One of my favs in Bastrop. Always friendly, quick service and great catfish! It's decorated with…read morecatfish, fisherman photos and everything else you'd expect from a small Texas town (although growing and not so small any longer). It is hit or miss with lines. Typically busier during the church crowd window on Sundays. Upon entry, someone will seat you so be patient and kind. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. Ordered the fried catfish platter. Plenty of food. The catfish is battered and fried to perfection. Always my go to when craving catfish.
