My wife and I enjoyed our experience at the Santa Fe Steakhouse. My wife and enjoyed her Mexican Martini and my glass of wine. We started with the French Fried Onions, a bit too greasy for me but tasty. It is served with ranch dressing. I do not like ranch dressing so I asked for a side of BBQ sauce. We ordered the Prime Rib, which was delicious, came with a side and one trip to the salad bar. The salad bar is well stocked and fresh. I will also state the service was very nice. I have two complaints and they are connected. Earlier I stated that I asked for a side of BBQ sauce since I do not like ranch dressing. That was provided however no mention that it was at an additional charge. All you have to be upfront and say there is an additional charge for your request. I can then decide if I want that item and what the charge is. Since neither were provided, I was surprised to see it on my bill. I did not question the charge, it was just deleted from the tip. I will probably return however this is a teaching moment, if you are going to charge extra for a client's request, tell them you are and what the charge is. If not for this issue, my rating would have been higher. read more

It's pretty darn good when all 5 members of your party are really happy with their meal. They have a nice salad bar; mine tasted great, by sacrificing "healthy". Then I tried the Cajun Tilapia, just for something different, and was not disappointed! Very high odds that we'll be back. read more

Family friendly place with great food! There was a large selection of seafood, chicken, Italian, burgers, and steaks here. Salad bar was very good. Food was really good and the salad bar was fresh. However, holy moly the serving sizes are Ridonculous. We had a party of four adults and one child and there was enough food for another four people to eat. The wait staff was great, friendly and attentive. Overall, I would come again, however, as said, knowing the proportions are huge, and I would order differently next time. If you want a steakhouse at IHOP, then this may be fine for you. However, my husband and I have been passing by this place quite a few times. And was expecting so much more! The Caesar salad wasn't great. Cups are plastic and some of the silverware didn't match. Waiters are nice though. But I couldn't tell which one our server was? We had two different people serving us that were also serving the whole rest of the restaurant. The tables are very tightly packed, so it's different to walk around. I loved the salad bar here! I would come back just for that. The fried fish was pretty good but didn't have a ton of seasoning or flavor. It was plenty crispy but just lacked flavor. The service was pretty good, I don't remember having to wait too long on refills or anything like that. The ambiance was a little off for me. Just oddly quiet and kind of warm in the restaurant which is I guess just personal preference, I just don't prefer to eat in a warm environment. I would definitely come back and be interested in trying more on the menu. I could make an entire meal out of the salad bar though and think I probably will again in the future. read more

Stopped here for dinner & now understand why to only order steaks at a steakhouse. I ordered a burger & it was just meat & bread, I had to literally make my own burger. I came out to eat for someone to fix my meal not me so i sent it back. My daughter ordered the fish. It looks like it's pre made & from the freezer. And it taste like it. The potato soup taste nothing like potato's. Clearly it's full of carrots and everything else other than potatoes. The waiter didn't speak English very well so there was a language barrier. The stuffed jalapeños were delicious and huge. His prime rib was so good with the horseradish sauce. I had the San Antonio K Bib which was amazing. My family and I have been to this Steakhouse multiple times and usually excellent service and food. However tonight was horrible. The steak fries were overdone/burnt. The rib eye was tough and over cooked. I requested medium and ended up with well done. I told the person checking me out with a $115. tab about the food and he never acknowledged me. My husband ordered the chopped sirloin medium rare, came out medium and weird with way too much gravy. Garlic mashed potatoes were good. He also got tortilla soup which was bland and tasted like old vegetable soup. I ordered fettuccini Alfredo plain (no meat, veggies etc), came out with chicken. Sent it back and within a couple minutes it was brought back and they had just picked the chicken out. It changes the flavor of the Alfredo, that's why I don't like it.
