Celebrating 25 Years at One of Our Favorite Steakhouses!…read more Last night was a very special night for my wife and me -- we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary, and we decided to spend it at one of our favorite steakhouses, Firebirds. We arrived a little early to beat the dinner crowd, and just as I suspected, the restaurant wasn't very busy. We were seated immediately, and to our surprise, our waitress was Nigh (I hope I'm spelling that correctly!). She has waited on us before, and we were so happy to see her again. She is honestly one of the sweetest servers you could ask for -- friendly, super polite, attentive, and just an all-around great waitress. Since we arrived early, we were able to take advantage of their early dinner special, which offers eight different entrées to choose from. I went with the Asiago Creamy Spicy Pasta, which came with chicken, diced tomatoes, chopped green onions, and penne pasta. I also started with a BLT salad, which was delicious. And, of course, Firebirds brings fresh bread to the table, which is always a nice bonus. My wife chose the meatloaf with mushroom gravy, served with mashed potatoes and broccoli. We both agreed -- the meals were absolutely delicious! And because we were celebrating, we couldn't leave without ordering one of our absolute favorites: Big Daddy Chocolate Cake! How do I describe this cake? Imagine the most decadent, rich, chocolatey dessert you've ever had... now multiply that by 10. That's probably getting close to describing how good this cake is! It is seriously that delicious. Once again, Firebirds delivered exactly what we've come to expect: great food, great service, and a wonderful experience. Most importantly, they helped make our 25th wedding anniversary a little more special, and we truly appreciate that. Thanks, Firebirds, for another fantastic meal and another great memory. We'll definitely be back!

We sat at the bar and got Zack, who was easily one of the best parts of the visit. He was chill, helpful, and gave honest food insight without trying to upsell. Ask for him if you go. My drinks? * Crushed Pineapple Martini - smooth, not syrupy, with an actually-fresh pineapple wedge * Heatwave - tequila, citrus, jalapeño, tajín rim. Bold but balanced. My dining partner had the Pomegranate followed by the Lychee Martini -- floral and light, with a soft dessert finish. Food-wise: * Bang Bang Shrimp leaned saucy (mayo-forward), but still came out hot and seasoned. Not my go-to texture, but my partner liked them. * Mussels Josephine were the real win -- buttery, garlicky white wine broth with fresh tomato, herbs, and tender mussels. Every shell opened, every bite flavorful. Served with surprisingly good bread and herbed oil that wasn't just decoration -- it actually tasted like something. My dining partner had never tried mussels before and ended up loving them. Said the texture fell between shrimp and lobster -- tender and briny in the best way. Would I go back? Yes. Not because it was flashy, but because the food was hot, the prices were fair, and the experience felt easy and intentional. Sometimes that's all you need. Polaris location - sat at the bar Monday visit around 12:30 PM $5 martinis until 9PM Mondays (confirmed) Ask for Zack. Tell him Jess sent you.

I come to Polaris Grill every so often with my family for dinner…read more I have tried some of both the seafood items on the menu and meat. I prefer the meat as you can get it at any temperature whereas with seafood I don't think you can control how they cook that. I prefer meats to be medium well. Most restaurants with higher quality believe their customers will want medium well. You have to state to them you need it cook longer if you don't like the temperature they cooked it at. With fish I do think you have to meet a certain quality temperature to not upset the customer completely. I am picky with fish so mine has to be made well done here. The sides are good that come with the meals you typically get the mashed potatoes, vegetables or French fries options. The salad is extra here. I heard it's worth it though for their special 55 dressing. Polaris Grill is a good option if your looking for your typical medium to higher end priced American meal for lunch or dinner.

Whom placed me at a very nice table. I looked over the menu, which had a little something for everybody. To be honest I liked that, plus there wasnt an over abundance of items... it was that goldilocks moment... just right. I decided to try the grape leaves. I asked if they had made them themselves and they did -which is what pushed me in the direction. You get two very stuffed grape leaves --that are definitely made in house. I was not really a fan of the lemon sauce that they use. I didnt dislike it, I felt it was a tad too thick and not enough lemon. However, I seemed to eat all of it, which is something I dont do at most places, so despite it needing more lemon I must of liked it more than I initially realized. As far as ambience, it still has the footprint of the former sushi restaurant. the bar is completely unchanged. however, they have these lovely little lilac flowers or Japanese cherry flowers hanging from trellises throughout the entire back dining room. makes it look lovely. This transforms it into its own identity. i liked it. They had soft music playing. I wasn't sure if it was Mediterranean or Spanish, but I enjoyed it. I liked my time there The one thing that needs mentioned is the pricing of the salad proteins. This is confusing. I was going to order a salad but the menu had it listed the price of a salad. Them below protiens. The price listed on menu is not in addition to salad. Its the final price of the salad. I did not realize that and thus didnt order the salad. I also didn't like being quoted 10.80 for my total and then having it changed because I used American Express to 11 something. Personally, I feel businesses should make it a little easier for their customer in the cost of doing business should be at the restaurants expense in that situation. I probably would've tipped more had they not popped up my price Tbo Would I come back? absolutely. However, I will bring cash the next time so my bill doesnt go up. Lol.
