We had a beehive hidden under the edge of the roof of a 2-story house for ~3yrs. We kept ignoring them until one morning this Spring 2015, we saw quite a lot of honey dripping down on the ground and so many many bee flying in and out. The swarm has been obviously getting very big now. Can't ignore it anymore, We then contacted a few bee removal "experts", but none worked out. Some wanted to spray chemical to kill the bees, but I knew for sure that without completely removing the beehive, it would not work. Besides gassing the bee to death is not human and not good for the environment. The others would remove the beehive, but would not fix the damage caused by the bees. It's been a stressful time.
We were so glad that we finally got the right men for the right job with a very reasonable cost. Talking to Lonestar Specialty, John, and sending him a few snapshots. John gave us a very good quote with two years guarantee.
Jose, who is John's partner, a very nice and friendly person, came by one afternoon to pre - inspect and do some assessment. He then showed up the next morning with bee suits, and a real professionally built vacuum attached to a box, so that he can humanly trap as many bees as possible without harming them. He carefully remove the sidings, and took all the honey combs out, collecting around two full 5-gallons containers. Jose gave me some honey combs that I later collected it about 12oz of honey, yay. He inserted the insulation, to prevent other bees from coming back, and put the siding and roof back to normal. However by the beehive, a board attached to the roof got damage by squirrels that were trying to access to the attic. We wanted to replace that board as well, but he couldn't be able to do that with his 24-ft ladder. A week later both John and Jose came back with a 32-ft ladder; John told me that he used to build custom house before and this was a piece of cake for him. Both John and Jose replaced the board, caulked sealing and painted it in less than an hour.
We will definitely contact John and Jose for any future bee removal work and strongly recommend to friends / relatives. Thank you John and Jose, you guys are awesome. read more
