Great food and better service TASHA was amazing the place was crowded but she handled it perfectly 10 out of 10 recommend

We were up in that area for an Eagle Float Trip on the Skagit River. Stopped in the Lone Star the afternoon we got there & stopped in for some food & drink. Sat in the Bar & watched some football. Good cold beer (IPA on tap). Ordered dinner which was a Seafood platter that was awesome !! Totally enough for 2 people. Good service & good food for a good price. It was so good that we came back the next day for breakfast too !!. One of the best Breakfast hamburger steaks & hash browns I have had . . . Some of the Best Bloody Mary's we have had too. Highly recommended this place if you are up in this Little Slice of Heaven area. read more

Maybe the only thing you need to know: they serve breakfast all day. We stopped here after a long day of hiking in the North Cascades after passing up other restaurants that were either: closed, had bad reviews, or just didn't look right. We settled on Lonestar and are super happy we did! We walked in about 45 minutes before closing time, left 20 minutes after close, and everyone was very gracious. Food came out quick, plenty large portions, tasted great, excellent value. My group ordered everything from burgers to sandwiches to omelettes, and we were all happy and satisfied. Way understaffed (one server/bartender on a Saturday night and bar was full), very hard to get service. Food was completely cold.. everything was cold.. not luke warm not kinda cold just cold! Steaks weren't cooked at all .. seared for a few seconds on each side but completely raw. I would not recommend this place. read more

The prices are ok and most of there food is good but the wings are just terribly cut and made

The. waitresses attitude at first was funny but then got old fast. She was very fogetful and not apologenic about it. Kind of uncomfotable. Food I got was the ribs. Probably cooked on Friday and served to me on Monday! I think they thought the sauce would re-energize it,,,not a chance. The smashed potatoes and gravey was tastey but gravey had a "skin" that should have not been served. Baked beans were delicious. Rolls were the kind you got at hot lunch at grade school in the day. I happen to love them. All in all a little dissapointed. Should have just had a cascade burger down the road. Now those are amazing! read more

Me and my wife were there earlier this evening and they served us under cooked/dead clams rotten deep-fried oysters and now she has food poisoning and the silverware and glassware was very dirty never eating there again and never would recommend them they're food is overpriced and beverages are small. read more

The food is amazing. When you can order it, always out of something on the menu. Waitstaff is mediocre. Bartender is slow and rude. Management doesn't know how to staff the restaurant accorwdingly. Holes in the roof of bar leaking all over the place. Basically a health Hazzard. Refrigeration is broken in the bar constantly beer is never cold,just put in a sink of ice redneck style. So my opinion the only reason this restaurant is open is because of the amazing cooks. And we'll there's not very many options in the small town of concrete. read more

The food is good! Good portions and lots of great options. The service however: very very slow. However 1 waitress for 4 tables and she was extremely overwhelmed. I had to wait for my check for over 30 minutes. read more

We stumbled on this place after river rafting in the Upper Skagit. Concrete is a cute little mountain town and this was a nice place. My man had the burger and fries, which were tasty. I had the hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy, which was heavy and really good. I walked in ravenous and waddled out stuffed. Service was excellent, everything was clean and interesting decor. Looks like country bands play on some nights, just not the night we stopped in. Our meal hit the spot after whitewater rafting. Definitely recommend. read more

Waited in the bar 15 mins, no service. Waited in the main lounge another 15-20 mins before service arrived. We placed an order. Another 15 mins later..."Sorry, no onion rings for your Motherland onion ring burger". Another 15 mins later... "I have a favor to ask: our fryer isn't working so we can't give you fries, would you take soup instead?" They were busy that day, but this was ridiculous. Literally an hour + and no food. Stopped in as we were riding the bike across Hwy 20. Perfect lunch! The half Stagecoach and salad hit the spot. The sandwich was a delicious combination. Friendly staff, good beer selection, recommend as a stop for sure. read more

Very unprofessional all around, along with very poor hygiene. Everything cooked must either be frozen or has been thrown together like it's mess hall. No regard for what state the food is in before it is brought to the customer. Owners treat customers and employees like they are lesser of a person for having an opinion and voicing it. Verbally harassed customers and employees on numerous occasions. The food earns a 2/5 star rating at best, & even that is seldom. & When it's met with a piss poor attitude and verbal harassment in person and on social media, its simply not a place I would bring my family. We were not expecting much when we walked into Lonestar, but let me tell you, the patty melt was heaven and the onion rings crisp. Definitely worth the visit. My partner was equally impressed with his meal. Don't hesitate to walk in and be greeted with a friendly and cheerful staff. read more

I really wish I could give a better review here but I can't. I've been here approximately 8 times in the last year and sadly only two of those visits were good. They need to hire more experienced staff. At least 4 of my visits they didn't have what I wanted. (Potato skins and onion rings is what I order ever time) We are alway met with long waits and at least twice told part of our order was forgotten. One time we came in for breakfast and I ordered Eggs Benny which is my favourite. Sadly the hollandaise was so runny it just created a pool that the rest of my food sat in. For the most part they have great food when they actually have it customer service seem to have been forgotten by the staff. The last time we were in we sat down to a table that was dirty and when asked the waitress to wipe it for us she as plain rude and gave us a look that suggested we were asking for something below her pay grade. I spent most of my life in food and customer service and in every job never experienced the level of service I received here and if I ever treated customers the way they do I would have been let go immediately. read more

Have been coming here since it opened three or so years ago. Something's going on there, and it's not good. Waitstaff is minimal (even in the summer months, when they are busiest) and the attitude of at least one server has simply got to change. Last time I was there, about a month ago, I was near ready to walk out from the bad attitude we were afforded by this particular individual. The food used to be excellent. It's still good, but I've noticed it's not quite as good as it used to be. Portions are smaller, things like the rolls and gravy seem to not be as good of quality as before, and with the exception of the green beans, the daily vegetable has become predictable and is just the frozen stuff. Their prime rib is still worth the trip, but the other items that have been on the menu since they opened are just not the same as when they first opened. My guess is they are having to cut corners as it's difficult to keep a restaurant open in a small town when there are newer places that are getting all the attention. The husband and wife owners also used to be around quite a bit, with the wife always hanging around the kitchen and dining area, making sure everything was on track and customers were happy. Haven't seen her for a really long time. That personal touch is one of the things that made this place "work" the first couple of years. I'm giving only two stars because I have had better from them in the past. If I had written this review a year ago, they would have gotten four stars from me. Hopefully, they will be able to get their act together. For many reasons, I'd hate to see this place fold. read more

I am responsible for feeding firefighters during large incidents. We had a wild fire in the Concrete area last week and needed to feed over 100 firefighters. At literally a moment's notice, the manager of the Lonestar worked hard to provide outstanding meals to our crews to keep them nourished and able to perform their jobs. This review represents not just my opinion, but the collective review of the entire fire camp. Job well done! read more

Used to be great. First few years had wonderful, friendly service, food was consistently great with quality ingredients. Chef made outstanding gumbo and the prime rib was seasoned just right. Now, about four-to-five years in... Food no longer great, obviously they are using a lot of premade and preserved sauces, gravies, mashed potatoes, and the like from the local restaurant supplier. Service is not great, wait staff overworked and not friendly. For a town that has so many residents with ancestry in the South, you would think their biscuits and gravy would be homemade and top-notch. Not the case. Worst biscuits and gravy I've ever had. A few things on the menu remain great choices, but that's few and far between, sadly. The place is starting to look run-down and not well maintained, too. Maybe they're having money problems? Will probably start going to the Birdsview Diner, instead. Sad to leave a review like this, but am hoping the owners take notice and make some very needed changes.
