I have found the employees are always super helpful, their knowledge of the products is impressive and given their various backgrounds they are able to provide you with multiple options for any project you have. I have done business with a wide variety of suppliers and Reynolds is now my top choice for materials. They just know their stuff when it comes to making something. With casting materials and mold materials there are so many choices from so many suppliers it can be a challenge at times to find the right path to get the results you want. Laurie at Reynolds in Tempe just has it down where the guess work is at a real minimum. Not every project or job is a 1,2,3, to finish operation, so anything that takes out the error and saves you money is a bonus in my book and Reynolds does just that. Oh yeah, be ready to gawk for a while if you're a creator, because your choices and tools available at Reynolds far exceeds many of the suppliers I used while working in Hollywood.

I was surprised to find they had a really great selection of embroidery floss. They had a lot of materials for different types of projects and many areas that gave good inspiration on trying new art forms. They also do custom framing. The front area and by the register also had fun gift ideas and trinkets. And there's a huge selection of Monster spray paint.

I was on the hunt for some specific paper for bookbinding and was not disappointed by the options. Not only did I find the blank paper I needed, I found a great selection of more specialty and fun paper as well as stationary pens and a few other basic bookbinding materials. They have much more than that though, including all your arts and craft needs, paints, pens, pencils, canvas, etc and fun trinkets, cute stationary type such as journals, stickers, etc. The prices are all very reasonable and they do offer student/teacher discounts. They were running a back to school donation drive for the local schools, which you received a 20% coupon for a return visit. It's only downfall is the parking, alas it is on campus and shared space with lots of high traffics restaurants and groceries, but if you don't find a spot right away, usually a lap or two will do it.

We signed up for the Blankets & Besties workshop, where you make a chunky blanket. You get to choose your color from a list and note it when you register on their website. It was $85 before tax and came with 5 skeins of yarn, with the option to add more (I think for an additional $15). I also put in the notes on my registration the names of my friends so that we could sit together. The workshop was at 6pm on a Friday and lasted about two hours. There was my group of three and three others, plus the owner/instructor Lauren. Her instructions were easy to follow, and she would jump in if we needed help. I made a few errors, and she was able to fix them for me. I ended up making my loops too loose on the outside and too tight on the inside, so my blanket came out a bit small. But I think it was decent for my first attempt. It's so soft. I keep it on my couch to use as a lap blanket. We all had a great time and would definitely come back to try other workshops. My coworker had tried one of the resin workshops and really liked it too.
