Being in North SD and still getting my fix for Asian food has been a challenge. It's getting better, but something I always missed was a nice refreshing boba tea and some crispy popcorn chicken! When I first ordered, I was sad because the popcorn chicken didn't have any seasoning. But when I went in and spoke to the owner, she let me know they do the traditional Taiwanese popcorn chicken - even with the basil leaves! Now every time I order, I just add a note with the spice level I want and to add the basil leaves and it's perfect!! I was so happy when I discovered this. Do not come here! Spent $45 dollars on two honey dew smoothies with one topping each and two snacks. The smoothie is literally just syrup and ice and the portions on the toppings are so off between the two drinks; one drink had a lot and the other barely had any. It is located w plenty of parking off of Oceanside Blvd and College right by Enzos Pizzeria, Thai Thai, Chipotle, McDonalds, etc. The workers provided good service and if you are military affiliated, you get a 15% discount. My sisters ordered the honey milk tea and swear by it. They say to add custard which complements the milk tea nicely. They also recommend getting it w green tea instead of black tea because black tea makes the taste strong. As you can see, they love it so much they order the jumbo size! I usually order the Thai tea and love it. I don't add extra sugar, and felt it was just sweet enough. Another huge plus is that my sister accidentally left her phone and they actually ended up calling her to pick it up. As of right now they don't even have a sign up yet. Just a banner, so look for that...and usually a little bit of a line. Sure we have lots of boba places in town now, but we only have one option that has the food as well...and hmmmm.....not so great. I'm here to tell ya...Lollicup is here! Finally! By now almost everyone has had boba drinks, but have you had popcorn chicken? Oh man... it's about as delicious as it gets. It's crispy textured small pieces of chicken with so much flavor. The flavor comes from Chinese 5 spice, so if that's not your thing, you may not like it. But give it a try. You'll be happy you did. As a matter fact, I would go so far as to say that it will spoil you for chicken and you may just never want a Chicken McNugget ever again. Ever. It comes in mild and spicy with a chili sweet and sour sauce. I never use the sauce because the chicken itself is so delicious without it. I actually ended up getting both by mistake. I ordered mild and they accidentally gave me spicy. Not a problem. They remade my order. They have other foods such as noodles and Taiwanese sausage as well to try. The drinks.... sooo fresh and good! They have options for boba and jellies like most places, but they use fresh fruits and not all syrups like so many boba places. They will also use less sugar if you ask. I got my drink with 1/4 the amount of sugar. You will see some lines because it is a small place and brand new. They are working hard to get the orders out as quickly as possible, so you may have to wait a bit. That's my dilemma. Running errands with a friend today when we decided on Jersey Mike's for lunch. Walking towards the place we see a guy wearing a Boba shirt. My friend gets excited and asks if they have some green tea something something ( I don't know Boba ) He says, yes we do, my store is right there. I'm intrigued by the words, "My store" because I love supporting local / family owned businesses. ( I know I'm saying this after stating we were headed to Jersey Mike's). Anyway, after grabbing our food, we walked over to the spot to check it out. The store is immaculate, I loved the decor and look forward to seeing it packed with customers when Covid restrictions are lifted. The guy we ran into, I think his name is Grant, was super friendly. His family own and run the place. His sister was running the register and his mom was busy in the back. My friend got her green tea boba and I ordered an iced coffee. Both were delicious!! I'm not a big fan of the green tea, but my friend loved hers. By the looks of the menu, they have a lot of tasty food options. We stopped by this place after a hot soccer tournament - mostly cause the kids LOVE boba. My son order the mango boba and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered the crispy combo and also totally enjoyed it. Were the tofu and popcorn chicken a bit on the salty side? Yes of course because that's what it is supposed to be! This used to be the old Enzo's location and my oh my, how much has changed. It doesn't even feel like the same space. One thing that always bugged me about the sit up (or sit in) counter was that the wall was too high. If you sit at the counter, you're basically staring at a wall. Consider add some small LCD screens? Or maybe the menu? Just a thought... Love the brightly colored menu with photos that makes selection far easier. We have only ordered the boba teas from here, which are excellent but I intend to try the food as well. They have everything from Tempura Shrimp to Crispy Tofu. The boba was old and mushy. I cook boba; I can tell the difference that it was old and more likely from the day before! As for the food, their popcorn chicken and Taiwanese sausage were decent, but the rice was wet. My kids said their stomachs hurt the last time they ate the rice. I am disappointed because I've been ordering my boba supplies from lollicupstore.com for years to this day. They have good boba if cooked right and served fresh; the same supplies lollicup use at their store locations. I told the worker that the boba was soggy and old. I asked her to give me an empty cup to transfer the juice into another cup. *Stay away; go to Ding Tea, TNL, Tapex, or JB for boba drinks/smoothies. Through family I've heard good things about this place. Since I was in the area I decided to stop in. It is located in a strip mall and it is surrounded with eateries that are hopping so parking can be a bit of a stickler. Although it wasn't the case at the time of my visit. I walked into the store front and a employee greeted me. Angel had a strong and friendly greeting, the best kind of greeting. He was very helpful with the questions I had for him and even threw out some food and drink suggestions. I knew coming into the store I was going to order something that would involve Taro. Right away I saw the photo of Taro Typhoon. I selected the regular size since I would be getting some Mini Pork and Spinach filled buns. The Taro Typhoon has boba and custard pieces at the bottom of the cup. I was surprised that I was able to sip the custard through the straw. The drink is very good. I could feel that the boba wasn't cold nor very warm (not my choice in a cold drink), so yes, maybe room temp. The custard was ok, not much flavor, so it was more just a additional texture to the drink for me, which I didn't mind. I think if I were to try any of the other drinks that included the custard I would opt out on the custard and get double boba. The Mini Pork and Spinach Buns were good. I didn't have any of them until I arrived home 20mins later. So if you've had these buns before you'll know it is best to have them fresh, but they could be easily warmed up and they are good again. I probably will pass on the spinach buns unless I need some Popeye energy ASAP. A lot of spinach in the mini buns was much for me and I love spinach. The pork was a better flavor. For the four buns it was $4.99. I liked the decor, the wall texture captured my attention. There is plenty of seating inside and a few outside. I would like to come back and try some of the food. Angel pointed out some of the best sellers and the Popcorn Chicken is the winner for me to try the next time I visit. If not for a cold drink come try the food that Angel suggests. read more

Always excited to try a new boba spot, but was a bit disappointed. The prices are higher than expected with 2 drinks costing about $18 (16oz for each). While you're getting the value of your money size wise the drinks were just okay. The taro milk tea tasted watered down and not anything exceptional. Haven't tried the food but unsure if we will stop by again. The service was alright. When i asked about the sweetness of a drink the response was that its subjective which is understandable just not particularly helpful. vibe wise, there is any or seating with games if that's what you're looking for. But I don't think they will last much longer. the prices are astronomical and the taste isn't high quality. The toppings didn't taste fresh or correctly prepared. $10 for a drink is insane. The last time I ordered this drink from another popular bubble tea chain I paid $2 less than I did from here and my drink tasted wayyyyyyywayyywayy better. When we bought our chicken wings at Lollicup Fresh located in 4121 Oceanside Blvd Unit 201 Oceanside, CA 92056 on 7 Feb 2022, we expected the chicken wings as shown in the picture (menu). Instead, we got two SMALL pieces of chicken legs. When I went back to inquire about it (after my son informed me as we drove back home from said place), the staff (possibly the son/owner) informed me that they changed the deliverable of chicken wings due to shortages. Instead, they changed it to chicken legs that is "bigger and juicer". I have informed them the following: 1) my son requested chicken wings as shown in the menu and not two Tiny chicken legs (my banana comparison is way bigger than the chicken received from them) instead of 6 wings (cost of two small chicken legs, $9.99. As shown in the receipt). 2) if the item is not available, they should have informed us rather than accepting our order and making us pay for an order that does not conform to our expectations based on the presentation as shown in their menu. The "staff" (possibly the son/owner) response: deliverable of chicken wings is weighted to approximately 6oz. Therefore, each chicken wings that is delivered (6 pieces) should only weigh 1oz. My son used to go to this place every after school since he loves drinking Thai tea or smoothie. However, after experiencing this matter with them, I refuse to ever go to this place ever again. In fact, these are the lists of DISAPPOINTMENTS I have experienced since going to this place: 1. For slushies/smoothies shown in their menu, it shows real fruit as part of the drink. Instead, they deliver simply a smoothie (and sometimes not presented neatly to the customer). 2. as shown in the menu, the price of the chicken wing is $7.99 but the charges processed in their registry is $9.99. If the customer does not check the receipt, they will get away from overcharging their customer. 3. Lollicup staff does not inform their customers if their deliverables will not be the same as shown in their menu. They will play "defensive" if their actions are questioned. 4. If deliverable of chicken wings are supposed to only weigh 1oz per chicken, does this involve the bones as well? If so, the customer is at loss since bones are not edible. It is better to request BONELESS CHICKENS if the customer would like to savor their food and maximize their money. Otherwise, I recommend going to Pizza Hut or any other store that provides you adequate chicken wings AND cheaper. To ensure we do not received similar treatment in the future, we have decided to get our boba drinks and crispy chicken wings somewhere else. In fact, there are amazing boba shop nearby such as the THAI restaurant next to Lollicup Fresh, DING TEA next to iHop located in Oceanside/College, TNL BOBA in Plaza Dr (BEST BOBA Place ever), and Taipoca Express by Barnes and Nobles in Vista Way. I wish Lollicup Fresh good luck and hope their staff will care more about their customers that are the driving force of their business. Food for thought *wink* read more

My friend suggested we try this place on a whim for lunch hour. It was about 1pm and it was completely empty. There was music blaring loudly when we walked in, which wasn't pleasant. We ordered two chicken bowls, which came with two pieces of broccoli, a bunch of white rice, bland stringy popcorn chicken, an egg, and a few small pieces of radish. The rice was also bland and came with no sauces. I had to go up to the counter to ask for soy sauce (didn't have any). Eventually, someone brought out some kind of sweet and sour looking sauce. I also got the jasmine milk tea and that tasted the best. The chicken was not good. There was something off about the flavor. The entire bowl had no overall flavor and it was dry. My friend and I ended up leaving and not finishing our bowls. They gave us a large portion though most of it was rice. I'm disappointed to be leaving this review today as I've been an occasional customer for the past 2 years. Service is always 10/10 but their prices have sky rocketed and ingredients have not. Maybe the fruit teas are the only things on the menu sort of worth the price for the sizes they give but we just paid: $7 for a matcha milk tea with boba that tastes either stale or incorrectly made and $10.95 for a taro milk tea with two toppings. Both drinks were okay at best. Unfortunately with other boba shops popping up around the area with better prices and on par drinks, LolliCup may have to be one store I visit less or not at all. If you do decide to try, make sure to spend the money on the Lychee Wave - it never fails to be delicious and somewhat worth the price. Heard about Lollicup fresh being in town from a friend last week and decided I HAD to try it out. I used to frequent the Lollicup in Irvine, but unfortunately it closed down suddenly. So when I heard that a Lollicup had opened in my neighborhood I was beyond excited! We visited yesterday and I tried out the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with boba and it was very good. I really liked how fresh the boba pearls were and the flavor of the brown sugar was amazing. I am referring all of my friends and family to come in and support this business because Lollicup is probably my favorite boba shop and I would love for this shop to stick around for a while. Issue with doordash order. My friend ordered our food and drinks through his doordash app. I wanted the jalapeño poppers with fries and the yogurt strawberry with lychee jelly. But ended up with a chai with coffee jelly. We waited to get or refund for the drink since it was clearly a mistake but they declined since the manager claims there was no mistake. Service was slow. Was not acknowledged while they were making the other orders (Hi! We'll be right with you!) The menu was appealing but slightly overwhelming due to the large selection. I ordered a honey black iced tea with passion fruit popping pearls and a brown sugar milk tea boba, although I think they only gave me the milk version bc it was overly sweet and didn't taste like tea. The iced tea and popping pearls was great, but the milk tea drink had hardly any boba. Slightly underwhelmed and unimpressed. I'll give this place another try in case it's an off day, but we'll have to wait and see for that visit.
