I got the dip manicure and a super pamper pedicure with Hoang--he was amazing! Super nice and patient, and he took his time on the dip manicure. The space is super clean and looks brand new. For my super pamper pedicure, I chose the lavender scent. It comes with the scrub, the mask, the hot towels, the massage with extra time. The chairs are brand new, and they use wraps on the foot bath so that they maintain the sterile environment. Lots of color choices for both gel and dipping, and there are enough seats to keep some spacing distance (if you feel you need it). You can pay by cash, card, or Venmo. You can also directly tip your technician via Venmo, which I thought was a nice touch. Anytime I'm in town, I'll come back here. read more

Loft Nail Spa - OPI shade from a dip manicure. - Nail Salons Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I've been here for a dip manicure many times. They always do a really nice job and my nails typically last for about 2.5 - 3 weeks before they start chipping at all, which is great. I think their dip manicure is actually really affordable compared to other places in the city. I've been to many of the nail techs and I've always had a really good experience. There is no one I wouldn't recommend. I can confirm that Harry and Tammy have stood out to me in the past years I have come here. The salon is always really clean and it's always easy to get an appointment last minute, which isn't the case at many nail salons in the city! read more

Tammy really took care of me today! The salon was very clean. Just observing other nail techs, it was evident they have great service and the reputation to back it. read more

I got dip power with tips and I really love how the nails look in general. But for someone that has been getting her nails done for years, it's kind of disappointing to see how chunky it looks when it grew out (the 3rd pic represents it, but i cut it off a little because some of my nails already came off. But the nails in general lasted close to 3 weeks before some of them started to come off, so I'm gonna give them an applause for that. The only major issue was the fact that I felt like my nail tech was rushing to finish my nails because other nail techs were already done with their clients. So i felt like mine could have came out better, but she was in a rush to finish it so it wasn't as nice as they should have been. You can see that my top coat smeared but she didn't bother to fix it :( It's not like i went right before they close, i made an appointment for 5pm but the actual nail tech didn't come to do my nails until about 5:30pm, and they close at 6pm so yeah, I had to wait a while. I'd still recommend this place though. Just make sure to go at least 2 hours before they close lol read more

Decided to check out a new nail spot while I was catching up with one of my best girlfriends and this place was right in the middle for us! We made a reservation for 5:30 PM and they were ready for us right when we walked in. I learned they've only been open for four months! We were a bit confused on how to find it because you had to walk inside the building and downstairs to see the entrance. Some sort of sign on the window of the exterior building would have helped with that! We were welcomed kindly and guided to check in upon arrival and choose our colors. I got a dip manicure and was very impressed with the size of their selection. Other nails places I've gotten dip nails at only have a handful of colors but this place had a full wall! They had a bunch of nude colored selections which I was happy about. I had a male nail technician and he was detailed, gentle, and shaped my nails in the perfect soft-edge square shape. The entire salon was very clean! I love how open-concept it was and how they had the fans built into the tables. It gave the salon a very sleek look. I also was digging the large screen that they projected music videos on including the lyrics. They had a nice variety of songs and it wasn't overwhelming where we could still have a full conversation. Best part? You get 20% if you check in with Yelp! You bet I took advantage of that :) I'll be back! read more

Have been here twice. Fantastic sservice both times!!! The second happened to be Dec 24 Xmas eve. I called last minute and they got me in jusT before close. I forget the gentleman's name that did mani, but he did a spectacular gel mani that lasted 3 weeks plus! No need for return during holidays. Phew. Highly recommended 5 stars! read more

Loft Nail Spa - Sparkly blue no chip for holidays!! - Nail Salons Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I had a gift card here so I thought I would try it out! First of all, let me tell you that you need to go DOWNSTAIRS to the nail salon. They are not attached to the hair salon and I guarantee everyone goes there first and I am sure the hair salon is sick of people asking. The space is very clean and bright with nice music playing. I got a no chip manicure ($25). The colors to choose from is a little chaotic: they have a "catalog" if colors on fake nails in one plastic bin. Myself and someone else had to share the bin. I can't imagine what it must be like if it's busy and you have 4 people sharing the nail bin. The service itself was very fast; which can be a blessing a curse. While I got a manicure during my lunch break, I can tell it was rushed. Uneven filing, gap between nail bed and color is a little too large (for my taste). The WORST part was the hot towel at the very end. I don't know what happened to the towel but it smelt like pure ass. I didn't realize it until it was already rubbed up and down my arms; I had to wash my arms when I got back to the office, it was that bad. All in all, I would go back because it is close to my office, reasonably priced and fast. I would, however, skip the hot towel next time! read more

A little difficult to find the salon but having read prior reviews I knew it was downstairs. Would definitely recommend updating signage once you walk in the doors! Space is large, open and clean. I was meeting a friend and aside from the 2 of us there was only one other customer. A couple came in during our services but overall a pretty quiet spot. I got a gel mani and thought the nail tech did a good job shaping my nails, cleaning up my cuticles and painting. I will say there was no massage given which is honestly the best part and the hot towel was HOT AF. You've been warned. Use the 20% check in grand opening deal on yelp for a great discount. My gel mani was originally $35 and it cost $28 + tax! Also loved that I could book online and get text confirmation. Would come back again! read more

Definitely give this place a shot. Their salon is beautiful and clean. Their team is quick and friendly. I booked a pedi and dip manicure + extensions and they had me in and out in 1.5 hours. They did a fantastic job on my dip. Love the color and shape. It did feel like they rushed through my pedicure a bit, but it was very reasonable for $30.00. read more

Over priced and nails lasted 2 days and I do dip!!! Worst experience with nail salon I've had in Chicago yet ):

I've tried several nail salons in the city and this one is the best. I can actually relax when I get my nails done instead of worrying if they're going to do a good job the whole time. Ask for Harry! read more

This salon should be avoided. I have been here multiple times and last time they used regular polish when I asked for and paid for gel. I gave them another chance and yet again, the artist used regular polish and not the gel. I told her I wanted gel polish not regular and she told me I was wrong (I wasn't). As the manicure continued, I noticed multiple of my fingers were bleeding from their cuticles. I pointed out this to the artist (not sure how she didn't notice) and she said "ok" and didn't nothing. The cuticles became painful and bled further but she ignored the problem, which is not only rude but also unsanitary. At the end of painting my nails (again, with the incorrect polish type I was being charged for), she simply put some alcohol on one of the bleeding fingers and said I owed $40. Paid via Venmo, since this place demands Venmo only payment which is illegal as a business, and left. Will not return, thanks for wasting an hour of my life and $40! read more

Went there during my travels when 2 of my nails broke off. Did an amazing job of repair and great service. Remembered and went there again to get Shellac Nails and due to care and quality, lasted me a whole month without breaks or cracks. read more

Since moving to the neighborhood, I'm still looking for a new nail place. Saw this on yelp and decided to give it a try. The salon itself is like its name, loft feeling, very clean. They have loads of colors to choose from. They use sterile supplies which is a must. I went in during their opening special. I did a no chip manicure and pedicure and my bill including tip was 75$. Without the special for a no chip mani and pedi, it's 80$, not including tip. I really enjoyed my experience, they were time efficient and I'd definitely go back! read more

Clean, tidy, well-lit and plenty of nail colors to choose from. Friendly staff. Easy to book appointments online (I like the text confirmation of the appointment booked). Fairly priced services. I've been back twice and I'll continue to do so! Music videos play in the background on a large screen. Tip: it's in the lower level, down the stairs and doorway to the left. read more

First of all, this place is beautiful. I love the decor - everything is so bright and clean. I got a powder no-chip from Helen and a pedicure today and had a great experience. My nails look amazing and the shape and color are exactly what I wanted. What is super awesome is that some of the nail technicians take tips via Venmo, so for a person like me who never has cash it is super convenient. The place can be a little difficult to find due to nearby road construction, but there is a neon sign that you should look out for at street level and you go down one flight of stairs to get to the nail salon. I definitely recommend checking it out! And shout out to the owner, Nina - she is the sweetest! read more

Clean, quick, professional, and a great selection of polishes. My new go-to spot over Huron Nails

After 2 coats of polish I could see brush strokes on my nails. Technician did Another coat of polish and a top coat on top of that. 8 Total coats of polish & not enough curing time in between coats. It took an hour and 15 minutes. I did receive 20% off as a 1st time customer. $28 for a sloppy manicure read more

In the lower level of the building when you enter. New place that is very clean and friendly staff. They have tons of Dip polish colors. Music videos were playing on large screen in the background which was nice to watch. I had a botched dip from another salon (they filed nails so badly they had grown out with deep ridge). They took time to even out ridge so nails could be healthier. read more

I first tried Loft Nail Spa when I moved back to River North, and I immediately became a regular. The salon is extremely clean, comfortable and professional, and the service is wonderful. I have become addicted to the super pamper pedicure--they elevate a simple pedicure into a spa-like aromatherapy experience. Not only that, but the polish is always long lasting and expertly applied. I recently had my first French manicure (for my wedding), and they did an amazing job. They also do a good eyebrow wax. One of the things that I love best is they have a very quick and efficient online booking process, which is important to me as I prefer to book appointments online. Tech and reception quoted different prices for services and when I asked which was correct they intended to honor the higher price. I was clear about what services I needed and they kept adding additional charges. The best dip mani I've found in Chicago!! So many colors to choose from and they did such a great job. I'll be back!

Do not go here. Arrived early and was told that the technician was running late, when in actuality he was not even in the salon. After waiting for 25 minutes, receptionist informed me that he wasn't able to come in at all and canceled my appointment. Disappointing when you only have 30 minutes/1 hour for lunch so couldn't get an appointment anywhere else. Spacious salon but had 2 people on staff. If this is what you get for a pedicure in the city for the price, I would get in my car and find the closest suburban nail salon. Service was great, but in the burbs for what I paid, I also get scrubs, a leg massage and a french pedicure vs solid polish. Thankfully I had a yelp coupon so that took the sting off some of the price, but next time if I have time to kill in the city, I'll read a book and save my $$ for more amenities in the burbs. read more

I started going to nail loft over a year ago when they initially opened due to the convenience to my office. They make it really easy to schedule and text discount offers, updates and reminders. I have liked their manicures (and they have lasted), but I have gone 3 times and all 3 times I have waited 30 minutes+ past my appointment. It's close to my office so I schedule 6:30 manicures and by 7 they won't even have started my manicure. Also they don't communicate to me while I'm waiting. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be going back, at least not for an evening appointment. read more

I recently moved in the area and was looking for new nail places and this one has decent reviews. However, I will not be going back here. They rush you in and out and don't listen to what you actually want done. I had long nails going in and wanted to keep them that way and left with very short nails. I asked for a specific shape and the nail technician decided she wanted them to be different. I had to ask twice for her to change it to what I wanted. I thought my nails didn't look horrible in the end, and maybe it was just extremely bad customer service here, but I was even wrong about that. My no chip manicure chipped within 2 days and they were extremely sloppy with the edges. I definitely do not recommend this place. read more
