After an hour of concentrated effort, I called Accurate Lock & Key and was given a very fair and reasonable quote by Steve. He was here within the 15 minute timeframe he promised. The lock was a bit stubborn, but he knew exactly what to do and after a couple of different tools, bingo! Success! Lo and behold, my keys were right where I thought they would be in that room. Fast forward to now and I'm trying to get the house ready to sell. Called this place as a last resort and Jason asked me a few diagnostic questions and assured me he could get it working but it might be a long job. He came out the next day and we looked at it together and he quickly diagnosed the main issue and then identified multiple things he could do to get it in good working order. He walked me through his proposed fixes and was also honest about the limitations of what he could and couldn't fix. I understood it couldn't be made perfect and never expected that, I just needed it to be safe and functional so it wouldn't be an issue for any potential buyers. He worked on it for nearly two hours. When he ran into new issues he communicated them clearly and what he would do to work around them. I was actually not expecting much, but when he finished it worked nearly flawlessly! I was told I have a warranty and they could order me a factory key if this key did not work. They "ordered" me a factory key and I have contacted them multiple times over the course of a month to set it up. At this point they have stopped returning my calls and texts. I paid with Venmo so I have no recourse for my broken key.
