Repair ignition switch ,first attempt the keys worked till next day the ignition fallout on the floor.was able to jury rigging starting truck but couldn't turn it off.had to leave job as truck was running and gas was on empty.put $20 in to get home they didn't come out again till next day and only fixed it wit one key .the tech guy asked fir $185 .to recut a second key .there was 2 keys to start with and he had it working on both .he said one key was worn but he didn't explain why it worked the day before...he cut the one key not 2 and used this excuse to get more money..I don't recommend this company their people who do the work aren't experienced he was on his phone with the owner asking how to fix this the whole time...they didn't return call from the supervisor after 3 calls ...use at your own risk. read more

So we had a pretty traumatic night, with a car stolen out of our driveway and another car broken into. Unfortunately, the car that was stolen out of our driveway had a house key. I really appreciated the honesty and comfort since I was a little nervous and had never had to call a locksmith before. I got robbed in Detroit and my keys were stolen. I called a different locksmith first named Lock Out locksmith who barely spoke english and acted offended that I called. He promised he was on his way but never showed up so I called Bright Lock and Key who actually spoke to me with courtesy and sympathy. Rich showed up exactly when he said he would and quickly cut me a new key and explained how to prevent this situation ever happening again. Including giving me the information necessary to avoid having to call an emergency locksmith again. He was friendly and professional and even offered extra help. You know why they have all the 5 star reviews? Because they do a great job at fixing and re-keying locks. That's the good news. The bad news is the owner could give a crap about his customers. I have had them out for 2 separate re-keyings of our facility. That's quite a bit of money I've paid these guys. But after a couple of days after the last re-key which included many new locks and doorknobs, I decided I didn't like a configuration on one door. I asked for a change and he refused to make the change without charging me all over again for new hardware and labor. All I expected was for him to switch out a knob and I was happy to pay for the time. But I was not about to pay for new hardware when the one I had was only a day or 2 old! He claimed he couldn't resell it as new therefore I was screwed. But considering all the money I paid them for the previous work, I expected some sort of consideration but all I got was a screw you attitude from the owner. Even the technician was surprised by his boss. I will never again use this lousy company. Too bad too because we're about to do another whole facility rekey. Not too "bright" if you ask me. read more
