When I spoke to them they told me all the charged up front would be $150. Of course a neighborhood handy man would charge less but I don't know the neighbors and it's too cold in Michigan to be sitting outside. I started the clock to see how long it would take them to remove the lock with the broken key and install the new lock. It took them 10 minutes to get it off. He suggested repairing the lock into order to keep the same key but that only brought the price down to 120. So I debated with that. I'd rather have a whole new lock for 150 like I need to see some $120 work. He worked to recyclinder the lock and it looked decent. So sense I messed my eyebrow and hair appointment I figured I probably needed to save the 30. Even the petty in me know that's not worth 120 more like 100. Drive -20, labor-80 if there was no extra equipment provided to me. I used a debit card. They were 7 minutes late which is a lot when you're already tired and cracked your iPhone waiting. Had Moe out yesterday to replace a key FOB. My husband came in without the new FOB, just the old one. Admittedly my husband is suffering from anxiety issues that give him dementia like issues on occasion. When I called Moe, immediately after leaving to see if he may have left it in his truck, he gave me attitude for not handling the situation instead! I locked my car with The Club on the steering wheel and shortly after realized I had left the key back home hundreds of miles away. I called Tom and Moe and they were out within 30 min. Over the phone, they admitted they would have to cut it but when Moe arrived he surprised me by being able to salvage The Club by lockpicking it unlocked. Saved me $40 from having to buy another one. BEWARE!! Don't Trust Them!! Terrible Experience. Told me 15-20 minutes and called twice to tell me running late another 25-30 and then another 5 minutes. Long story short, I lost all my car keys and had called about 6 locksmiths I found online to make brand new ones and program them. The first never called me back, the second scheduled an appointment and never came and the third told me it was $120 on the phone and showed up telling me I had to pay $600 a key or he wouldn't do anything. The third one didn't go well and ended in a yelling match. I then found Tom from MNY who was very trustworthy. I asked Tom the cost on the phone, he said it would be $350 total for two keys, cut and programmed. Tom came to my house, was very respectful and extremely professional. In about 45 minutes I had 2 new keys. We even spoke in detail about the process and cost of the equipment so I understood why the keys were so expensive. Tom also said that he was a AAA vendor and even offered to help me file a claim if I chose that path. I decided not to do that but it was nice that he gave that option. In summary, skip the online people who are just trying to rob you. Tom is a reputable locksmith out of Ferndale that is going to treat you well. Highly recommend, just make sure that you cover out the door cost with any locksmith before they're at your house. Tom thankfully saved the day and saved me a pretty penny. I locked the keys in my car when I was at Somerset Mall. I used my phone to locate a locksmith. I called 4 different companies but MNY was the only locksmith company that said they could come right out. It took them longer than the 15 minutes they advertise but it was less than a 30 minute wait. The locksmith who was coming out to unlock my car called me to let me know an estimated arrival time and gave me his name so I knew who was coming. It was a service call of $29 and the dispatch said it would be anywhere from $15 and higher depending on what the locksmith needed to do. When he got there the locksmith evaluated my situation and wrote me up an estimate. He said he couldn't start working until I signed the invoice agreeing to pay the price. Pricier service than some of the other locksmiths I contacted, but I needed the locks to my house re-installed and they were able to accommodate me with short notice. The technician who installed my locks was able to work around a difficult door frame and thus far my locks have worked fine. He said they have a lifetime guarantee on the work which is nice to should should there be issues in the future. Tom was great, he arrived within 20 minutes, he was a little shocked because i forgot to tell him i had a Range Rover, but he was able to get into the vehicle very quickly and no drama. We got locked out of our house and have a smart lock. We called MNY Locksmith and they were honest with us and said the smart lock would be nearly impossible to unlock. Rather than just charging us and ruining our smart lock, Tom went above and beyond to try other options. So i had problems with my Front Door frame when i rented this house & my landlord never gave me keys to all the locks to the front or back doors anyway. Well i took it upon myself finally when my bolt stopped catching all together to get a new dead bolt and handle set so i could at least get into my front door like a normal person could in their own home. I called this company they sent David to fix my front door. They have a $30 fee to come out then if u but if u buy any of their locks the fees go up. I had bought my own locks so I didn't think that we needed any other extra fees but come to find out I needed a strike plate well the gentleman did not have a strike plate nor did he try to go get one but he did put my locks in that I had purchased and I ended up paying $100. David (locksmith) told me that the bolt wasn't lining up exact so I would have to push on the door when I needed to lock it with the key and inside. I called the next day to have them come back out because the lock the deadbolts would not lock from the outside nobody got back to me 2 days later no one called back no one came two days later my door is unlocked and it will not open so now they finally are coming out again after 3 calls about the job not being done properly, plus the worker David argued with me on the phone about even coming out and fixing my door again saying that the door was damaged and I need to call my landlord about it . I called the 1-800 number back and his boss made him come back to the house so, I will update you I will update you on how it goes. The Locksmith came back out the same one that I originally started with and David was great. He was so nice eventho my hubby was completely rude continuously he was very nice came back out as soon as he was done with the job that he was gone and he told us that we need to replace our door jamb and that was our landlords a problem but we did get the door open and it is locking again now if we have any more problems with it I will update you about their service in the future they didn't charge us any more than $100 I originally paid. read more

MNY Locksmiths came to my home to open a locked bedroom door. On the phone, it said it charged a $29 service fee to come and that the work would cost $15 and up. The technician took an hour to arrive. When the technician arrived, he opened the bedroom door in less than a minute with an inflatable rubber insert that he placed in the doorframe. The technician charged a fee of $120.00 for his work. I do not recommend using MNY Locksmiths. We selected them from a full page Yellow Pages phone book ad that states at the top: "24/7 Emergency Mobile Service Locksmiths" The advertisement states a $29 Service Call fee, 15 minute response time, and Discounts for Seniors, Break-in Victims, Move-Ins, and Military The technician did give a 10% discount on his $149.00 fee. If you value your time do not bother with this company. I made an appointment where the locksmith was supposed to arrive between 8 and 8:30 am. I called to find out what was going on at 8:45. The company owner ignored my first 3 calls and eventually picked up and said that a locksmith was on the way and would be there within 20 minutes. I got a call at 9:05 from the locksmith to verify my information. He had been "dispatched" just a few minutes before. The funny thing is that when I called to make an appointment, the owner kept emphasizing that they are open 24/7 and will get a locksmith to you within 20 minutes. Since my appointment was over an hour ago...this is clearly not true. So what is the takeaway here? The company made an appointment and didn't even bother to set up the required service. I locked my keys in my car yesterday, so I called here and they said that they would send someone out to help unlock it soon. I told them what my car was and then asked how much it was going to cost me. the response was $29 for someone to come out and then it starts at 15$ and could go up depending if they need to do more. Took about 10 min to get to me not bad however he gets there takes a look at the car and says 130$ WHAT! 130$ I was blown away and the he says that's on top of the 29$ for the visit so total 160$! I was pissed however with no other option he then takes 2 min to pop open the door stick a wire in and open it. How is a 2 min job with 1 tool 160$! DO NOT TRUST them. Have you ever driven 10 hours to empty out a storage locker, only to find that the keys that were sent to you were the wrong ones? I have. MNY Locksmith answered the phone right away, they were clear about what they needed from me and from the owner of the storage locker in order to proceed, and they made an appointment for a few hours later. Worst experience ever! I spent 30 minutes trying to get into my boyfriends car where he had locked his keys. Finally I gave up and told him to call someone. He calls this place, as it is the first one to show up on Google, and he was quoted the $15 but said it could be more depending on the car, and someone would be on their way. 45 minutes later someone shows up, gets the keys out in less than a minute and then tells my boyfriend it'll be $140!!!??? That is way too highly priced! But here is the best part!
