My mother locked her keys in her car on Aug 28 2015 , so she called here and they said that they would send someone out to help unlock it soon. She told them what my car was and then asked how much it was going to cost me. the response was $29 for someone to come out and then it starts at 15$ and could go up depending if they need to do more. Charged my $194.00 for 5 min job. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but my experience was bad enough to warrant it this time. This company hit the ultimate triple play: they didn't honor their own 15 minute promise, they tried to scam me once they finally arrived, and were rude to me when I complained. Look elsewhere. This company will try to take advantage of you, plain and simple. I had a perfect storm of unfortunate complications. I accidentally locked my keys in my vehicle while it was running. Furthermore, my engine fan does not work, so the vehicle has a tendency to overheat if it idles for too long. I googled locksmith companies near me, and selected this company because of their 15 minute response time promise. I explained to them the time-sensitive nature of my situation, and they said they could be there in 20-25 minutes and would charge a $29 base fee plus a fee that starts at $15 to unlock the door, depending on the complexity, and I agreed. By the time the locksmith arrives, it had been over 40 minutes, my temperature gauge is well past the red portion, and the engine bay is smoking. The technician walks over to the vehicle, takes a look, and says that the $15 fee will now be $120, claiming that there was fog on the window so he could not see the lock. It was an obvious attempt to take advantage of my desperate situation and charge me an exorbitant fee. I refuse, saying that I would rather call someone else, do it myself, or break a window than to be taken advantage of. Once he realizes I'm serious, he starts to haggle with me over the price, all while my vehicle is billowing smoke now out of the engine bay. We settle on $60 for the whole service, and once I sign the quote, it literally takes him a minute to unlock the vehicle, because the locking mechanism is about as simple as they come. I finally shut the engine down and pop the hood. I pay the locksmith, he leaves, and I call the company to complain about how the employee tried to cheat me. Rather than apologizing, the manager (Moe) asks me what I do for a living, tells me that he thinks I get paid too much, and told me that my opinion about how much his employee gets paid is none of his concern. This was one of the most infuriating experiences I've had with a service provider in recent memory. If the company would have expedited their service or done ANYTHING special to help me in my situation, I would have GLADLY paid extra, but trying to charge me 8 times their usual fee for service that doesn't even live up to their own normal standards is ridiculous. The rudeness was the cherry on top. Do not do business with this company. read more

Have you ever driven 10 hours to empty out a storage locker, only to find that the keys that were sent to you were the wrong ones? I have. MNY Locksmith answered the phone right away, they were clear about what they needed from me and from the owner of the storage locker in order to proceed, and they made an appointment for a few hours later. Showed up at exactly the appointment time, and they got me in. A little on the expensive side for just drilling out a lock core, but I don't really know what I was expecting. read more

I have called them last minute at night and on weekends several times in the past couple years and they have shown quicker than I expected every time. And the price was right. read more

Very fast and reliable locksmith in metro Detroit. They really make you feel comfortable with great prices too. Definitely would use them in the future. read more

This company is on point, quick service! They came on short notice. The gentleman who helped me out was very friendly and outgoing, and was able to open a particularly small and tricky lock within minutes. They are reliable and courteous, I highly recommend! read more

The best! Fast, reliable and skilled locksmiths. I found their prices to be reasonable too! If you need a locksmith, look no further.

I am still giddy with joy over my experience with them! My dang key broke and I was locked outside of my car. Not only did they unlock my car, replace my key on the spot but they also gave me a brand new clicker for my car as well! All for much cheaper than Ford was going to charge!! Yotam was amazing and so friendly. Overall an absolutely amazing experience! read more

Broke my key off in my lock after hours and they were the only ones that answered and showed up within 30 minutes. The locksmith was very quick and very helpful! read more

Efficient and reliable. They are a mobile company so they have everything they need for any job on hand. They gave me an estimate before changing the locks on my new apartment and couldn't continue working until I approved everything. The engineer really worked with me and my budget. Couldn't have been happier with the service!! read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Only call this company if you want to be verbally harassed on your own property. While the website says 15 minutes, expect to wait an hour. I had a very simple lockout that could have been picked...they attempted to charge me $179, while their website states they start at $15. Big jump there. After I refused to pay $179, before he even ATTEMPTED to do anything with my lock (how can you gauge difficulty and price by simply glancing at a doorknob), he tried to barter with me. When I then said I would just wait for my landlord, he proceeded to start swearing, saying I better pay him the service charge (not mentioned on the phone call) for his gas money. I told him he needs to get off my property if he's going to speak to me in that manner, and that I was not going to pay the service charge, because of how he was treating me. He refused to leave my property, and proceeded to get in my face. I had to again tell him to get off my property, or I was calling the cops. He then pounded down my stairs, yelled, "You're a f***ing idiot!" and stormed out to his car, where I had to tell him if he was going to continue his harassment of me on my property, the cops were going to be called. I have NEVER been treated like this by anyone in a service position, and, to be quite honest, if this man with his anger issues believes it's okay to treat a small woman like this (and try to take advantage of her financially), then he should not only be reprimanded, but, on the path to a new job. read more

Cost may vary with no explanation... I recommend avoiding in emergencies unless you're ready to pay. Consider looking into a AAA membership before using these guys for vehicle entry. I locked my keys in my car, called for an estimate and was told $29 for them to come and $15 minimum charge plus additional charges for specialty tools. After waiting 40 minutes in the cold (mostly not the servicer's fault for the delay, I was in a tricky area), I was quoted a total of $179. I was late, cold, and had to get home so I paid - stupid mistake. THE GOOD: My locksmith was really nice, did a great job, and was very patient. I may have been OK with the price if I hadn't been broadsided with it. I called and spoke with Yotam who told me he's part owner of the company. He would not provide an explanation of what standard services are included in the $15, what could constitute $150 in charges, what the average cost for opening a car is, and would not let me speak to anyone else. It was quite frustrating. Although, he did tell me that even though their website says 15 minutes, 40 minutes isn't bad at rush hour and some people have had to pay $700. So I guess it could have been worse, thanks Yotam. read more

Very responsive, professional and quick. They arranged a time that worked best for me. Even a house call to remake my car key. They called prior to arriving, were on time and done in 15 minutes. Would highly recommend to anyone. read more

I have no words to describe how amazing this locksmith is. I had locked myself out of my car; it was dark; it was cold, and the man was literally my savior. Writing a review or two is the most I can do, but I definitely recommend them for their work. They are absolutely phenomenal. Cannot stress this enough!!! If you're in a sticky situation that requires a locksmith, call these guys. You won't regret it. read more

Only use theses guys if it is an emergency!!!!! The guy was helpful and friendly. They just finished 3 door knobs/ lock change. Took 1 hr. HOWEVER!!!! I called to ask for someone to come change our locks and they said they could have someone there in 45 min. I thought great! Well they failed to mention the up charge without an appointment. This was not emergent! Ugh! It's was totally overpriced, I would have waited and made an appointment had the policy been explained!!!! read more

Disappointed to hear that they do not perform the promised services on all vehicles. Their website states that they can do ignition change/repair. Apparently not for my Suzuki Forenza. Oh well, will keep cold calling locksmiths until someone can help me. read more

I called them after I locked my keys in my car. The man on the phone told me it would be around $50 and 15 minutes. 15 minutes later, I get another call from a different person saying that he'd just finished a job and he'd be there in 30 minutes. When he gets there, he tells me that it will be $190!!!! What?!?! Of course, by this time, it's taken so long that I don't have a choice because I have to get in my car and can't wait for another locksmith. Do not use this locksmith!!!! It will take over double the time they say it will and the cost is outrageous. $190 for using an air bag and a metal rod and 30 seconds of work?! He also scratched my car with the metal. I'll buy those items myself in case this happens again. Amazon says $30 for all three items. This is the worst locksmith I've ever encountered. Go somewhere else. read more

I was incredibly disappointed in the timeliness and professionalism of the individual who came to my home. He was late and incredibly rude. I woukd not recommend them. read more

I would not recommend Mny Locksmith. My daughter called them to unlock her car door. They told her the charge was a 29.00 dollar service and it could be 15.00 and up. The locksmith came out and didn't speak at all, which I find very rude. It took him a whole 2 minutes to open the door. He then handed my daughter an in voice that was unreadable, due to his handwriting was horrible. She thought the charge was twenty dollars. Mny Locksmith ended up taking 149.00 dollars out of her bank account. She then tried calling them and they kept hanging up the phone on her. It would have been cheaper for her to break her window out and have that repaired then to have MNY Locksmith come out. Never Never Again. I suggest everyone call American Lock and Key. They only charged me 40 dollars and no service charge plus the gentleman was super nice. read more

If I could go lower than 1 star I would. I got home to find out that this "locksmith" charged my wife a ridiculous price to open the door when she accidentally locked herself out of the house. I called to try to discuss this, but the man was rude and kept interrupting me. I finally got angry, said a bad word and hung up the phone.I believe that he took advantage, I don't know why, was it possibly because she's a woman? Or was it because she speaks with an accent? Or is he just so greedy that he thinks he is worth thousands of dollars per hour (took less than 1 minute to open, but cost $125). Two weeks prior, I paid a locksmith to come on a Saturday to open my truck, $50 was all I had to pay. I have no problem with someone making a good living, but gouging people is really bad. read more

I had my front door lock get stuck locking my out of my home in my pajamas in 25 degree weather. Called from neighbors house and I was told tech would be there in 20 minutes. An hours and a half later tech calls and is on his way. Arrives 2and a half hours later and charges me 71.00 for 10 minutes of work. Check my credit card today and have a pending charge from them for 100.00 UpDate: these clowns ran my card for 100.00 instead of the 71.00 I signed for on the sliip. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. SHADY PEOPLE. read more

I have used MNY both personally and professionally. One of my friends found them when he locked himself out of his house really late one night. They have always been prompt and efficient regardless of when I have called them. I've used them myself to change out some basic locks around my home. I also hired them to do some work for my boss. The work my boss had done was a little more advanced...locks with keypads, etc. He was very happy with them and has used them multiple times since. read more

That moment when you realize that you started your car with the remote start and shut the door behind you without grabbing your keys...doh! This company was my first result on Yelp. It sounded like I woke up the dispatcher and he didn't identify as MNY locksmith when he answered the phone and I almost hung up. I was pleasantly suprised when the technician called me back within 5 minutes with his ETA. I was in my house within 40 minutes. The technician was pleasant, courteous and reminded me of a young Liev Shreiber. I would call them again. read more

I lost all the keys to my husband's car! MNY Locksmith was called by AAA (discount) to my home where the car was parked. They arrived in 11 minutes. I bought two keys and a fob for a slightly lesser price than the dealer wanted to charge me. I also did not have to pay to have the car towed to the dealer for them to make new keys because MNY Locksmith came to me. Prompt, courteous, honest and excellent service. I hope I never have to use them again but when I need a locksmith in the future they will be the locksmith I call!. read more

Great work and same day service. Recommend these guys for all lock needs. Jim from Oak Park.

Don't use these people. They have no integrity. Came out quickly, charged hour labor for 15 minutes work plus service call charge only to tell me a new part needed to be ordered. Last I heard from them. That was two weeks ago read more

My fault for not checking yelp. Technician from MNY replaced my broken back door knob and dead bolt. He showed up 2 1/2 hours after appointment time (he did call several times to tell me he was late) and in 15 minutes had finished the job. Charged me $217.00!! Only cash, debit card or credit card are accepted. No checks. read more

Very unprofessional company that will take advantage of your situation and rip you off. I locked my keys in my car outside of work. The estimate I received over the phone was $29.00 flat rate to come out and a starting rate of $16.00 for the work based on the job. The guy came out and told me the job would be $150!! When I said forget about it, he told me he still had to charge me for the trip out. Me not having any other options at 7:00 at night, decided just to go through with it. It took the guys 2 mins to unlike car. If you have the option go elsewhere, they are way overpriced and will scam you. read more
