DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! The only reason this company gets one star is because their technician was professional and did get me into my house. Everything else about this company is terrible! After locking myself out after going for a morning run I jogged half a mile to a grocery store to borrow a phone and call for a locksmith. I was told that pricing started at $29 for the service call and a technician would be there in 20min. 50 min later and no technician had arrived so I jogged back another half mile to call another locksmith. One hour and 20min later the technician shows up, doesn't even apologize for being late and then proceeds to tell me that in addition to the $29 service call fee there is a $145 labor charge!! I expected to be charged more than the $29 but this was outrageous but at this point I was desperate to get into my house. The technician did good work but not sure it was $145 worthy especially given he was an hour late! I called back to the main office and started the conversation saying I appreciated the technicians work but that I was told he would be there in 20min and he was an hour late. The person at the office told me that they "were not a pizza delivery company and that if I was looking for a discount I could forget it!" I had not asked for a discount though one was clearly warranted in this case. I told them that I really didn't care that it was an an 80min wait if I had known that upfront, but when you advertise 15 min response times 24/7 and actually tell me 20min then I have some right to at least have my service within a reasonable time of that estimate. She told them what my car was and then asked how much it was going to cost me. the response was $29 for someone to come out and then it starts at 15$ and could go up depending if they need to do more. This company hit the ultimate triple play: they didn't honor their own 15 minute promise, they tried to scam me once they finally arrived, and were rude to me when I complained. Look elsewhere. This company will try to take advantage of you, plain and simple. I had a perfect storm of unfortunate complications. I accidentally locked my keys in my vehicle while it was running. Furthermore, my engine fan does not work, so the vehicle has a tendency to overheat if it idles for too long. I googled locksmith companies near me, and selected this company because of their 15 minute response time promise. I explained to them the time-sensitive nature of my situation, and they said they could be there in 20-25 minutes and would charge a $29 base fee plus a fee that starts at $15 to unlock the door, depending on the complexity, and I agreed. By the time the locksmith arrives, it had been over 40 minutes, my temperature gauge is well past the red portion, and the engine bay is smoking. The technician walks over to the vehicle, takes a look, and says that the $15 fee will now be $120, claiming that there was fog on the window so he could not see the lock. It was an obvious attempt to take advantage of my desperate situation and charge me an exorbitant fee. I refuse, saying that I would rather call someone else, do it myself, or break a window than to be taken advantage of. Once he realizes I'm serious, he starts to haggle with me over the price, all while my vehicle is billowing smoke now out of the engine bay. We settle on $60 for the whole service, and once I sign the quote, it literally takes him a minute to unlock the vehicle, because the locking mechanism is about as simple as they come. I finally shut the engine down and pop the hood. I pay the locksmith, he leaves, and I call the company to complain about how the employee tried to cheat me. Rather than apologizing, the manager (Moe) asks me what I do for a living, tells me that he thinks I get paid too much, and told me that my opinion about how much his employee gets paid is none of his concern. This was one of the most infuriating experiences I've had with a service provider in recent memory. If the company would have expedited their service or done ANYTHING special to help me in my situation, I would have GLADLY paid extra, but trying to charge me 8 times their usual fee for service that doesn't even live up to their own normal standards is ridiculous. Not only did they unlock my car, replace my key on the spot but they also gave me a brand new clicker for my car as well! All for much cheaper than Ford was going to charge!! If I could give 0 stars, I would. Only call this company if you want to be verbally harassed on your own property. While the website says 15 minutes, expect to wait an hour. I had a very simple lockout that could have been picked...they attempted to charge me $179, while their website states they start at $15. Big jump there. After I refused to pay $179, before he even ATTEMPTED to do anything with my lock (how can you gauge difficulty and price by simply glancing at a doorknob), he tried to barter with me. When I then said I would just wait for my landlord, he proceeded to start swearing, saying I better pay him the service charge (not mentioned on the phone call) for his gas money. I told him he needs to get off my property if he's going to speak to me in that manner, and that I was not going to pay the service charge, because of how he was treating me. He refused to leave my property, and proceeded to get in my face. I had to again tell him to get off my property, or I was calling the cops. He then pounded down my stairs, yelled, "You're a f***ing idiot!" and stormed out to his car, where I had to tell him if he was going to continue his harassment of me on my property, the cops were going to be called. I have NEVER been treated like this by anyone in a service position, and, to be quite honest, if this man with his anger issues believes it's okay to treat a small woman like this (and try to take advantage of her financially), then he should not only be reprimanded, but, on the path to a new job. read more

I locked my keys in my car, called for an estimate and was told $29 for them to come and $15 minimum charge plus additional charges for specialty tools. After waiting 40 minutes in the cold (mostly not the servicer's fault for the delay, I was in a tricky area), I was quoted a total of $179. I was late, cold, and had to get home so I paid - stupid mistake. THE GOOD: My locksmith was really nice, did a great job, and was very patient. I may have been OK with the price if I hadn't been broadsided with it. I called and spoke with Yotam who told me he's part owner of the company. He would not provide an explanation of what standard services are included in the $15, what could constitute $150 in charges, what the average cost for opening a car is, and would not let me speak to anyone else. It was quite frustrating. Although, he did tell me that even though their website says 15 minutes, 40 minutes isn't bad at rush hour and some people have had to pay $700. Only use theses guys if it is an emergency!!!!! The guy was helpful and friendly. They just finished 3 door knobs/ lock change. Took 1 hr. HOWEVER!!!! I called to ask for someone to come change our locks and they said they could have someone there in 45 min. I thought great! Well they failed to mention the up charge without an appointment. I called them after I locked my keys in my car. The man on the phone told me it would be around $50 and 15 minutes. 15 minutes later, I get another call from a different person saying that he'd just finished a job and he'd be there in 30 minutes. When he gets there, he tells me that it will be $190!!!! What?!?! Of course, by this time, it's taken so long that I don't have a choice because I have to get in my car and can't wait for another locksmith. Do not use this locksmith!!!! It will take over double the time they say it will and the cost is outrageous. $190 for using an air bag and a metal rod and 30 seconds of work?! He also scratched my car with the metal. If I could go lower than 1 star I would. I got home to find out that this "locksmith" charged my wife a ridiculous price to open the door when she accidentally locked herself out of the house. I called to try to discuss this, but the man was rude and kept interrupting me. I finally got angry, said a bad word and hung up the phone.I believe that he took advantage, I don't know why, was it possibly because she's a woman? Or was it because she speaks with an accent? Or is he just so greedy that he thinks he is worth thousands of dollars per hour (took less than 1 minute to open, but cost $125). Two weeks prior, I paid a locksmith to come on a Saturday to open my truck, $50 was all I had to pay. I have no problem with someone making a good living, but gouging people is really bad. read more

I would not recommend Mny Locksmith. My daughter called them to unlock her car door. They told her the charge was a 29.00 dollar service and it could be 15.00 and up. The locksmith came out and didn't speak at all, which I find very rude. It took him a whole 2 minutes to open the door. He then handed my daughter an in voice that was unreadable, due to his handwriting was horrible. She thought the charge was twenty dollars. Mny Locksmith ended up taking 149.00 dollars out of her bank account. She then tried calling them and they kept hanging up the phone on her. It would have been cheaper for her to break her window out and have that repaired then to have MNY Locksmith come out. Never Never Again. I suggest everyone call American Lock and Key. I had my front door lock get stuck locking my out of my home in my pajamas in 25 degree weather. Called from neighbors house and I was told tech would be there in 20 minutes. An hours and a half later tech calls and is on his way. Arrives 2and a half hours later and charges me 71.00 for 10 minutes of work. I lost all the keys to my husband's car! MNY Locksmith was called by AAA (discount) to my home where the car was parked. They arrived in 11 minutes. I bought two keys and a fob for a slightly lesser price than the dealer wanted to charge me. I also did not have to pay to have the car towed to the dealer for them to make new keys because MNY Locksmith came to me. Prompt, courteous, honest and excellent service. I have used MNY both personally and professionally. One of my friends found them when he locked himself out of his house really late one night. They have always been prompt and efficient regardless of when I have called them. I've used them myself to change out some basic locks around my home. I also hired them to do some work for my boss. It sounded like I woke up the dispatcher and he didn't identify as MNY locksmith when he answered the phone and I almost hung up.
