I called them about getting locked out of my house. They had somebody there in 10 minutes and quoted me $95 to do the job. Even though it took an hour and a half they stuck to their quoted price. This is a second 5 Star review for Ray's Lock Works. Mom has an older home in an older neighborhood there were three locks and knobs that needed attention...they were sticking, one of the knobs was falling off, all locks had different keys. Ray came over (texted when on his way so we could meet him there)...he practiced distancing, masked and gloved. He went to work and left us with two new door knobs, two new deadbolts, and rekeyed the front knob and locks...all had the same key for ease of use....cut several keys for us so family members have access in addition to mom...and he "unstuck" all doors! What a nice guy! Efficient, professional and really great service. He's simply the best. We called him when we first moved here (called us back immediately, unlike other locksmiths we called) and he helped us out then. When mom's locks needed attention, we immediately called him and only him. Prices are very reasonable. Highly, highly recommend. read more

We had absolutely fantastic service from Ray when the deadbolt on the one door we had a key for at our house broke and we were locked out of the house. Ray and one of his team members came super quickly (even though it wasn't an emergency!) They were extremely friendly and efficient and worked hard to save the lock so that I would only have to pay for repair rather than replacement. I work in berkley. On Friday around 4:20 our lock broke to the front door... OMG that's NOT good!!! I called a few locksmiths in the area and no one was available to come and rectify our situation. With everyone closing at 5 and not available for the weekend (without an extreme cost) I was getting worried... I called Ray's and they were at the store within 15 minutes. He was so nice and fixed the problem within 15 minutes AND it was very affordable!!! I will always use Ray's from here on. Definitely call them!! Their pricing was fair and they gave an honest quote over email/phone (whereas others had said they charge a service fee to come out and see what the work is). Best pricing and nicest place I dealt with, calling around. When I asked if Ray cld come out today to change my locks, he arrived in under a half hour. I had two keys made at Ace and got them "stuck." Called Ray after hours, he arrived in less than five minutes (I do live nearby). Only, they weren't stuck- I'm a moron who doesn't know how to remove a fancy printed key from a lock. He wldn't even let me pay him. "Don't worry about it.
