I locked my keys in my car and hired this locksmith company to come unlock my car for me and retrieve my keys however, when the locksmith showed up, he got my old keys out of the car and told us I also need a new fob because the old one wouldn't work so I spent $270 on a new key fob and then when he left, I discovered that my original key fob still did in fact work so I did not need to spend the $270 on a new key fob. After the service was complete, the technician continued to rifle through my car for something. He said he lost, but he could not find it and wouldn't say what it was. Two days later I discovered that it was a marijuana pen that he had left in my car. Three weeks after that the new key fob that I paid for stopped working. I was unable to get in my car because they didn't even cut me a new key. They just gave me an electronic fob. I called the company to come replace the one that had broken waited for them for an hour and a half, and they never showed up and refused to answer my phone calls. I had to hire a new company to come fix their mistakes. They have refused to let me speak to anyone regarding this situation despite multiple attempts and now will not speak with me at all, so I will be filing reports with the better business bureau and taking this to civil court for fraud. read more

Called Locksmith 4you to install a touch keypad lock. Three guys showed up. A GM, young a locksmith, and a young apprentice. Everyone was friendly, but the work was shoddy. The deadbolt plate is screwed in at strange angles, and looks bent from some banging by a hammer. They failed to put on the strike plate on the doorframe too. They claimed that it was too difficult to line it up perfectly. A cursory check shows that they were off by about 0.5 cm. The whole job cost 765. While I appreciate the friendly demeanor, I would have paid for more exacting standards. Edit: John, the GM, came out and fixed it up. Great service, showed initiative, very attentive. He was able to level out the deadbolt plate and attach the strike plate on the doorframe. He made clear that there was an issue with the lock from the manufacturer, which caused the original difficulty with the strike plate, and he was able to attach the strike plate to the doorframe with a little bit of work with a Dremel. Due to his attention to detail and good customer service attitude, I would recommend Locksmith 4You. Thanks John! read more

Just got ripped off. $30 to come out $70 for 5 minutes of labor. the guy spent about 5 minutes trying to unlock the door then said he couldn't do that type of lock and tried to upsell me for $150 to drill the lock (he said was the best way to get in). Or he'd give me a "deal" of 50% off for a new security lock set. I didn't want to drill the lock so he left. What a rip read more

Do not go here I had to go get my keys from the dealer because my key was not programmed correctly.

Not impressed in the least. Guy comes out to fix a broken lock. Barely speaks any english. Takes the lock apart. Then leaves because he doesn't have the right part. Comes back in about an hour, just walks into our house without knocking or anything. Replaces the part. Still doesn't work. Says he must go back and someone will call me. But charges me $120. Ended up calling another locksmith who was actually competent. Turns out the first guy installed the wrong part because he clearly did not know what he was doing. Would never recommend these guys. After getting my keys stolen from my work, with a very quick response, this business was able to come out, open up my car, make me two hard keys plus a new key fob in less than an hour. It was amazing and efficient. I couldn't believe what he could do. I highly recommend them. They have always been able to get to me same day, and they've saved me twice when I've lost my car keys (Toyota Corolla). They're quick, super up front about what they're charging for, and they do a good job. They charge about half what the dealer wanted to charge me and they come to you so you don't have to get a tow. My sliding glass door lock broke due to the extreme hot weather we have had lately. I chose LockSmith4You. I called and a dispatcher answered my call and after a brief description connected me to Shon, the General Manager. It was around 10:30 am. He said that he would arrive between 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Requested a quote out to a few locksmiths in my area on a Saturday afternoon to change out a mailbox lock from a community mailbox.
