To be honest, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I was about 5 minutes late for our scheduled appointment, to re-key a rental property. When I arrived at the home Rafael had already came & left (his business card was placed in the screen door). I felt really shitty, about being late, so I called, the number on his business card, to apologize and try to re-schedule for another day. No answer - I left a message. Then tried the main number and spoke with the scheduler, sorry I forgot his name, who is such a nice guy. He offered to reach out to Rafael and see what could be done. Long story short, Rafael came back within about 30 minutes, and was as attentive and nice as could be, while replacing 8 locks and cutting new keys. I believe I paid $178.00 (with yelp discount) He no longer accepts cards so be sure to have cash on hand. (I wasn't prepared for that but we worked it out) I really appreciate a down to earth, business owner, who can flex with my schedule and provide good service. After a few scheduling mishaps Raphael was able to come out to my home. He was able to quickly access the situation and rebuild the inner workings of my lock, rather than trying to up charge me into buying a new lock. He was also very generous in waiving the fee after the initial scheduling issues. I would definitely recommend AND use them in the future. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! I needed a lock re-keyed at my business. Called on a Friday, got a quote, and appointment was set up for someone to be there Monday morning at 10am when my business opened. Monday came and it was now 12pm and still no one showed. Called multiple times to get status and was not able to leave a voicemail because voicemail was not set up yet. Never received a return call. My wife and I made an appointment with this guy for Monday July, 19 for 10 AM. My wife stayed home from work to wait for him, he never showed up. She called him later that day, they said they got tied up in some work with the sheriff's office and could not make it out that day. They offered us a discount to come out the next day, naturally we take it. Next day rolls around its 1 PM and still has yet to show up, My wife calls them, They say "we are so sorry we forgot about it, we will be out later this afternoon". Its now 4:30 PM still not here, we call again and there was no answer, we waited till 5:30 PM then called, still no answer. Rafael was at my place within 30 minutes of calling him. And it was a Sunday, so that was actually pretty impressive. My job was small - I just needed him to clip a lock. He also brought up the fact that I could probably get a AAA reimbursement, so the job might actually end up being free. I forgot this was a AAA perk, so I definitely appreciated the reminder. In interest of all fairness and honesty the first time you met with my father about my car he had nothing but nice things to say about you. He said you were professional, courteous and seemed very knowledgeable. You DID say you had to order the part but you also said you could get it the next day. We were willing to pay the cost you had discussed especially after you showed my father how to get the vehicle home without towing. You seemed like a reliable person so we decided to proceed. Instead of just coming out and saying you had holiday plans or would be out of town you allowed us to continue to call and wait. For several days. I would have left you a glowing review even if you had said "hey its the holidays I have other obligations I'm sorry" but instead we kept hearing "tomorrow" "tomorrow" when you bothered to answer at all. The TRUTH is we wanted to do business with you after the first meeting, we even persisted to try to do business with you. But after getting the run around for several days, I took the car to a mechanic who fixed it the same day (even with having to have the part delivered). Such great service!!! My key was literally stuck in the ignition of my old Honda Pilot on the top of a parking garage where NO tow truck could get to. After 3 days of stress and dealing with insurance, tow companies, and dealerships all estimating a huge cost onto me to fix the problem, I called Raphael and he came to the rescue! I just bought a house in Brentwood and called these guys to come out and rekey the house. I wanted the entire locking mechanisms swapped out with tumblers not susceptible to bump keys. I appreciated Rafael's professional opinion and the fact he wasn't trying to upsell. In fact, he was telling me it wouldn't stop someone who really wanted to break in but if it offered peace of mind, then the few extra dollars would be worth it. While installing the new hardware, he was sharing information with me as far as what makes one lock better than the other and what I should look out for. Great experience and pleasant customer service. Highly recommend them. Keep in mind that weekends are real busy. If you can schedule them on a weekday, mid-day, you'll have less customers you'll be competing against to get them scheduled. read more
