This place is amazing! In a world full of Lowes, Home Depot and chain type construction stores that offer little experienced people this place is a gem! You have knobs you can't find anywhere, make the trip to Locks and Pulls. If they can't help you, they can give you the name of someone ( handyman) who can. This is my go-to place for any hard to find cabinet, door, or window hardware. They are also my favorite place to have door keys duplicated, locks changed, etc. A super friendly bunch of folks who take pride in satisfying their customers. I recently had a lock re-keyed that I had purchased elsewhere. In my haste to get it installed I ran into difficulty and I decided to modify the lock. In the process I damaged it. I took it to Locks & Pulls to be fixed. In less than an hour they had replaced the damaged parts, and also switched out an incorrect mechanism with the correct Schlage part. When I came to pick up the lock and pay my bill, they said no charge and sent me on my way. They made my day. I will keep going back there again and again. read more

When you need things like door handles, pulls, knobs, etc, the tendency is to hit Home Depot, Lowe's or even an Ace or True Value. But even in this era of big box retailers, there's still a great need for specialized retailers like this one. The place has an absolutely massive selection of door hardware and there isn't hardly a thing you can think of they don't carry. If they don't have what you need, there are a variety of catalogs you can use to special order what you need, which I had to do because my dresser has oddly sized holes for hardware. The staff at Locks & Pulls is extremely knowledgeable and friendly as well. Their prices are lower than what I found at Home Depot. Those two things, plus their selection, makes this store one of the best retail experiences I've had in a while. read more

They also sell window shutters and hardware for outdoor address plates... That's a lot of stuff in a little bitty space! For workaholics, it's a good excuse to get out of the office early. The man helping us got way up in our personal space and made us uncomfortable. He then started taking his mask down and complaining about how some older woman made a complaint that she was uncomfortable because he had his mask off in the store. I needed assistance with a front-door dead-bolt that which I was re-installing on a new door. I had purchased the dead-bolt along with new pulls for my home about three years ago. When I told Ken about my problem and showed him the parts for the dead-bolt he told me that I was missing several parts. He quickly found replacement parts for me and showed me exactly how to install the dead-bolt. He did all of this without charging me. Needless to say when I go back to Locks & Pulls I will always ask for Ken. I told him how great he was and how much I appreciated his help. read more

I came here because no hardware store carried the correct size of the little screws for all the door hardware falling off around our 1930's home. They had them--and gave them to me, saying "Come back when you want to buy something." What kind of merchant just gives you what you can't find anywhere else and refuses money for it? I love this store. They have a great selection of hardware and the hard-to-find stuff. It's a great place to get house numbers on the plates as well. Numerous failed tries of having extra keys made at my local hardware store taught me to just have them made at Locks and Pulls. They are right every time and I pay $1.00 not $2.50 per key. They don't make the little mailbox keys though, but they referred me to Chet's and I was able to get them made there. If you love to browse this is a great place to spend some time. If nothing else, you'll learn a lot about all the varieties of hardware available. read more

They have a big selection. Hence 2 stars. However, if you have an older house that has not recently been updated, skip this place. We went there to ask about hinges for our kitchen cabinets, because we have very old hardware on our cabinets (from the early 70s). We asked an attitude-challenged male sales associate who reeked of cigarette smoke what kind we should get, given the dimensions of the current ones. He kept grilling us like we didn't know what the hell we were talking about, and saying things like "well if your hinges are blah blah blah, then you're gonna have to buy custom hinges". Yeah. We know. And now that we've seen what assholes you are, we'll look elsewhere. read more

They have a huge selection for sure! A little pricey for my budget but I was excited when I found they have an aisle of discontinued knobs and pulls. They are not in any really organized fashion, which I am fine with. I dont mind searching through for a really good deal. I was able to find almost enough for my cabinets! (i'll find the rest online) but the sales clerks were not very eager to assist me with figuring out the brand or manufacturer so I could look online. They were eager to direct me to the more expensive ones and assure me that they could order plenty of those. (Not in my budget unfortunately) They just made me feel like a sub par customer because I was trying to only get the discontinued pulls. I'm sure if you have the budget to buy pulls or knobs in the $5.00 - $15.00 a peice range they would be very helpful; however, if not then dont expect much. read more

What started out as a good experience in finding the new front door handle set for our unusual size handle ended up not so good! We could not get the handle on the right side door to set in because the screw section was not secure (the left side was correct). Took the handle back in for assistance and was basically made to feel stupid and that we were lying about the left side already being correct. So now we have half a double door set and will have to pay someone to try and fix it, assuming they will be able to. read more
