We were researching to replace our kitchen hinges which were painted over. After trying to figure out our size and type via internet, decided to call this local shop. The gentlemen was very helpful in narrowing down our hinge but suggested we stop in to ensure he was correct. Drove to the store and was greeted by the gentleman on the phone. He knew exactly the size and model from the one I brought in. They had them in stock and were cheaper than most of their competition. I love that we could buy local and got a reasonable price with great service. read more

The staff here was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond! They were friendly, answered my questions, and were able to help me find exactly what I needed without being overbearing. I honestly don't know how their prices compare to the chain stores; they were able to help me so I didn't even look at other places. I love being able to support local, so this will always be my first choice when I need anything hardware related. read more

Locks & Pulls - Hardware Stores Near Me - Overland Park, Kansas

Probably the best selection in Kansas City. For those of us who choose to get off the couch, leave the house and shop for things in person - this is the place to go... read more

A bit on the expensive side, but they had an excellent selection and variety of items. The representatives were kind and professional. I'm happy we made the long drive as we were able to see what was available. We'd come back. But not without a stuffed wallet, or we'd have to leave empty-handed read more

I need a replacement hinge for a pantry door. I visited the Overland Park KS location. Within 10 minutes I was in and out. They were the most knowledgeable about what I needed and extremely helpful and professional. If you are in need of cabinet hardware this is the place to go. read more

I, like several on here, was also put off by their rudeness and condescension. Sorry I looked rough from working in the yard and didn't roll up in a Mercedes...wow, how rude to suggest what is "expensive" before simply answering my questions. Sorry, Locks & Pulls, but you have no idea how much money one has to put into their hardware. The one good thing about the store is I took pictures of everything I liked and will now order online. read more

Horrible service grumpy old men who are condescending and rude I wanted to support a local brick and mortar store but they give you no reason to Way better off buying on line they have everything on line with better service read more

This place is amazing! In a world full of Lowes, Home Depot and chain type construction stores that offer little experienced people this place is a gem! You have knobs you can't find anywhere, make the trip to Locks and Pulls. If they can't help you, they can give you the name of someone ( handyman) who can. Seriously, just skip lowes and Home Depot for any type of knob or decorative items and come here. Their selection is huge, the staff is friendly and the prices are really fair. I hope they never close. read more

The woman working at the front desk was degrading and unhelpful. I came in looking to select and purchase hardware for our new build and she answered every question with an attitude as if I couldn't afford to be in the store. Let me know the finishes I liked were "very expensive" and I left with no further information. read more

This store is an outstanding example of a focus on a singular product segment and doing an awesome job of it Skilled and knowledgeable staff with the right attitude to address your issues Great bunch of helpful people! read more

I was driving by after stopping at another store next door and was actually on my way to ace hardware to get a key copied. I decided to stop here to see if it was something they did. The guy who had helped us was very kind and friendly. He copied my key perfectly and flawlessly and told us it was on the house. I appreciated his kindness! read more

This place is awesome! I went to three other stores looking for an item I needed. I was referred to this place. It was my first time there. The store was plenty stocked, lots of options, and great customer service! I would highly recommend this place read more

The absolute BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Seriously people, this business goes way above and beyond to take care of us, the customer. They are doing everything to stay competitive with online store pricing, so PLEASE, support this amazing local business. They are doing everything right. read more

Incredible customer service! I was very overwhelmed with my cabinet hardware and I walked in and with their help I was in and out within five minutes! Very very kind and super fast service. Thank you!!! read more

This is my go-to place for any hard to find cabinet, door, or window hardware. They are also my favorite place to have door keys duplicated, locks changed, etc. A super friendly bunch of folks who take pride in satisfying their customers. I recently had a lock re-keyed that I had purchased elsewhere. In my haste to get it installed I ran into difficulty and I decided to modify the lock. In the process I damaged it. I took it to Locks & Pulls to be fixed. In less than an hour they had replaced the damaged parts, and also switched out an incorrect mechanism with the correct Schlage part. When I came to pick up the lock and pay my bill, they said no charge and sent me on my way. They made my day. I will keep going back there again and again. read more

When you need things like door handles, pulls, knobs, etc, the tendency is to hit Home Depot, Lowe's or even an Ace or True Value. But even in this era of big box retailers, there's still a great need for specialized retailers like this one. The place has an absolutely massive selection of door hardware and there isn't hardly a thing you can think of they don't carry. If they don't have what you need, there are a variety of catalogs you can use to special order what you need, which I had to do because my dresser has oddly sized holes for hardware. The staff at Locks & Pulls is extremely knowledgeable and friendly as well. Their prices are lower than what I found at Home Depot. Those two things, plus their selection, makes this store one of the best retail experiences I've had in a while. read more

I agree with Kyle, what a great business! Prices are reasonable and selection is the best! I had fun testing drawer pulls (they allow you to borrow one at a time of different styles). They also sell window shutters and hardware for outdoor address plates... That's a lot of stuff in a little bitty space! For workaholics, it's a good excuse to get out of the office early. (Open 9-6, Sat 10-4) read more

This place has more locks and pulls than you can imagine! I have an antique chest and needed to replace a pull. The staff was knowledgeable and was able to order a pull that was a close match. I'm a big fan and have recommended to others. read more

Needed to update our kitchen. Gosh they have a lotttttt of stuff. Selection is phenomenal!!! Staff was nice and helpful. Very mom and pop type feeling. It was nice because they knew their stuff. read more

The man helping us got way up in our personal space and made us uncomfortable. He then started taking his mask down and complaining about how some older woman made a complaint that she was uncomfortable because he had his mask off in the store. Clearly he didn't know or care that he wasn't talking to another anti masker. We promptly left and he lost our buisness. read more

I needed assistance with a front-door dead-bolt that which I was re-installing on a new door. I had purchased the dead-bolt along with new pulls for my home about three years ago. When I told Ken about my problem and showed him the parts for the dead-bolt he told me that I was missing several parts. He quickly found replacement parts for me and showed me exactly how to install the dead-bolt. He did all of this without charging me. Needless to say when I go back to Locks & Pulls I will always ask for Ken. I told him how great he was and how much I appreciated his help. read more

Great selection of new and old (for those replacements). Seem to keep up on new trends. Helpful staff.

I came here because no hardware store carried the correct size of the little screws for all the door hardware falling off around our 1930's home. They had them--and gave them to me, saying "Come back when you want to buy something." What kind of merchant just gives you what you can't find anywhere else and refuses money for it? The kind of merchant I'm going to visit first when I need anything from his huge collection of locks and cabinet hardware! You should visit them too! read more

Just left there. Customer service was horrible. I'm a contractor of over 20 years. Not going back or recommending to my customers. Not the first time of bad service there. Last time for sure. read more

I love this store. They have a great selection of hardware and the hard-to-find stuff. It's a great place to get house numbers on the plates as well. Numerous failed tries of having extra keys made at my local hardware store taught me to just have them made at Locks and Pulls. They are right every time and I pay $1.00 not $2.50 per key. They don't make the little mailbox keys though, but they referred me to Chet's and I was able to get them made there. If you love to browse this is a great place to spend some time. If nothing else, you'll learn a lot about all the varieties of hardware available. read more

These guys could not have been any more helpful and kind to us. What a great experience! I'm looking for my next opportunity to support this local business! read more

Had exactly what I needed and for a good price. Very helpful with the weird hinges I needed for the remodeled bathroom.

I went in to get 2 door biscuits for a repair. I was helped and they found a few in the back as part of a reuse and recycle and they sent me on my way no charge. I am grateful for their generous help !! read more

Incredible selection of locks and pulls and mailboxes...outstanding customer service!

They have the best selection of cabinet hardware of any store around. They are pretty helpful. It took longer than promised to get my special order but no other store had what I wanted so I waited. read more

As a design professional this is my only stop! They are abundantly helpful and have a great selection in stock. If I have a special need they have access to virtually everything! read more

If you have any kind of remodeling project that calls for door or cabinet hardware, this is THE place to start looking for hardware. It is exclusively door hardware, cabinet hardware and accessories for bathrooms, such as towel bars, robe hooks and TP holders. Their stock is vast and they are very helpful. If you need a hard-to-find item, they can probably order it. I love having an excuse to go over to this store, just to wander through the aisles, looking at unique and beautifully made hardware. And their prices are very reasonable. read more

They have a big selection. Hence 2 stars. However, if you have an older house that has not recently been updated, skip this place. We went there to ask about hinges for our kitchen cabinets, because we have very old hardware on our cabinets (from the early 70s). We asked an attitude-challenged male sales associate who reeked of cigarette smoke what kind we should get, given the dimensions of the current ones. He kept grilling us like we didn't know what the hell we were talking about, and saying things like "well if your hinges are blah blah blah, then you're gonna have to buy custom hinges". Yeah. We know. And now that we've seen what assholes you are, we'll look elsewhere. read more

You have to see and experience this 'one of a kind' business. Super people, great service. I honestly did not know that places like this actually existed. What a nice experience. Worth your time just to visit and enjoy what has to be a business created by their own effort and run as an example of -HOW TO to the rest of upstarts. Way to go, folks! read more

A wonderful store, with amazing customer service and a phenomenal selection. If you need a lock or a pull go here. Also, one thing to consider about pulls is that changing them is a great way to update a look without the price of buying new furniture, cabinets, etc . . . read more

They have a huge selection for sure! A little pricey for my budget but I was excited when I found they have an aisle of discontinued knobs and pulls. They are not in any really organized fashion, which I am fine with. I dont mind searching through for a really good deal. I was able to find almost enough for my cabinets! (i'll find the rest online) but the sales clerks were not very eager to assist me with figuring out the brand or manufacturer so I could look online. They were eager to direct me to the more expensive ones and assure me that they could order plenty of those. (Not in my budget unfortunately) They just made me feel like a sub par customer because I was trying to only get the discontinued pulls. I'm sure if you have the budget to buy pulls or knobs in the $5.00 - $15.00 a peice range they would be very helpful; however, if not then dont expect much. read more

We updated our kitchen and went to Locks and Pulls for you got it - all new locks and pulls. Wide selection, in-stock, and staff helped us find exactly what we needed. Fair price and a quick visit. I tried finding items needed at a big box home improvement store but they had limited selection and not enough in-stock to do an entire kitchen. This is a great place!! read more
