I had a very good experience here the other day! I stopped in for happy hour (3-6p) and sat at the bar where I was served by Monica. Right from the start she was pleasant and helpful, then just as importantly, she gave me my space while still being readily available if I needed anything. So what I learned about LockKeepers is that they are very accommodating, they want the guest to be pleased so they will work with you on creating a dish that best fits your taste buds. For example, you want that $7 happy hour special flatbread, but you don't like the flavor of the day, they will make you pepperoni and cheese flatbread if that is what you want for the same price. Or you want a salad but aren't that hungry, you can get half orders! Or you want the calamari appetizer, but don't want it fried, they will sauté it for you! Or you want their sorbet dessert, but only one scoop instead of three, they will make it work! Pleasantly surprising. The goods: *Peach Bellini - Tasty. Good mix of alcohol and flavor. *Bread - you get butter and olive tapenade to spread on your bread. Very good! *Meatball - Large meatball with some read sauce on top of polenta. The meatball was good (ask them for fresh grated cheese on top), but the polenta was mediocre. *Brussel Sprouts - Legit deep fried so not healthy, especially with bacon filled aioli, but pretty delicious. Tasted like they might sprinkle salt on it so I'd ask for it without that next time. *Beet Salad - I always enjoy salad with beets, nuts, and goat cheese so no complaints here. Happy I could get half a salad. *Crème Brûlée - It comes with like jam on half of it and this almond brittle bake in the center (maybe too much happening?). I was excited for this dish but it just wasn't for me. The sugar crust kind of tasted like blow torch. There was a small issue with one of my dishes but management took care of it generously. All in all, I would definitely come back here. LockKeepers is a high class place with great service and good food without a stiff or overwhelming atmosphere. Oh, side note on parking, you can park anywhere in the lot just disregard the "Only for Yours Truly" sign. Or you can take advantage of complementary valet parking. read more

My husband surprised me with reservations here for my birthday. It was our first time there and it was great! Not sure if reservations are required or not but it was a Friday evening and they still had openings for that night available earlier in the day. We were able to switch our reservation from 2 to 4 people when a couple friends decided to join. I wasn't positive about dress code before we got there. It's listed as dressy on the yelp page and thought maybe I'd feel out of place in jeans. But... it was my birthday, if had a long week at work and I really couldn't commit to being totally dressed up. So, we went for dressy casual (dark jeans, blouse for me and button up and khakis for my husband). We fit in perfectly, could definitely have gone dressier without being out of place or even toned it down slightly more and been ok. Extensive wine list and nice cocktail and beer selection. We enjoyed their charcuterie board. The tomato basil artichoke soup was excellent! My husband got the clam chowder (a special), it was good but not what I usually expect out of a chowder (it was tomato based instead of creamy). The tables entrees were the stuffed pork shank, veal parm, ribeye and filet mignon. I was impressed with the consistency here. We all tried each other's meals (we are all kind of foodies and couldn't resist). Nothing was "best meal of my life" but everything was really solid. I would have been perfectly content with any of the entrees as my meal despite the fact that none other than my own (filet) would have been one of my top choices to order. In fact I usually don't like ribeye cuts or pork very much and thought both were very good. Desserts were outstanding. We ordered tiramisu, chocolate hazelnut torte, apple crumble and an affogato. The tiramisu was perfect. creamy, delicious and not to be missed. I usually make my own tiered cakes for family events and am very picky about them and the torte was awesome. Moist but not overly dense cake, rich ganache balances with creamy hazelnut and chocolate filling. The espresso for the affogato was on point. My friend ordered port to go with dessert but it was recommended to try an Italian dessert wine instead which turned out even better. Our waitress was great! Especially considering it was her second day. Which we would have never thought if she hadn't told us at the end. Friendly, accommodating and there at all the right times. Meal started with a garden salad for my husband and the Caesar salad for me accompanied by fresh bread and butter. We both had the seafood risotto for dinner, which was outstanding as usual. 12/14/19 Not quite as good of an experience as last month. Had 15 year old Macallan, Rabbit Hole bourbon and Great Lakes Christmas ale. Caesar salad definitely better than the wedge salad I had last visit. Waitress was nice. Ordered the scallops over barley special. Just had 4 smaller scallops. Dish needed some sauce or something so it wasn't as dry. The barley was not good and included cauliflower that killed the taste. The tiramisu was again awesome. 11/9/19 Absolutely fantastic experience. Beautifully classy facility. Knowledgeable waitress. Bone-in ribeye was bursting with flavor, as were the fingerling potatoes. Had bottle of cab. Bit too much runny dressing on wedge salad. Bread with Kalamata tapenade was very good. Seared ahi tuna had a tasty coriander rub. read more

Lockeepers is one of my favorite restaurants. was there recently to celebrate my birthday and was pleased with my meal and the service.

We were planning to visit LockKeepers for a while. We went there once before but that was a very long time ago. So this visit. Place was very classy. Service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive. Food was done very quickly. We had 3 appetizers Eggplant Rollatini which my wife really enjoyed,LockKeepers Calamari that were very fresh and Beef Carpaccio which was a bit boring. I had Lobster Bisque soup which very good but I wish it had at least one piece of lobster. Wife had Parmesan and Ricotta gnocchi And long bone veal chop for me. I know, I know it's a lot of food . We did had to take most of the main dishes home. So overall everything was good. Some things better than others but everything was fresh and very nicely prepared. Gnocchi were excellent in my opinion but my wife thought they were bit salty. The best I ever had. Veal dish was huge and the meat was very tender. read more

This was a great place to go for my wife and I's 12th Anniversary! Everything was great....from the service, wine and food. Had the poached pear salad(yum), the way beef carpachio(double yum), my wife had the seafood risotto and I had the seafood pasta that had a great broth to dip your bread in!! My friend & I decided to go here for dinner. The service was good & fast. The problem was the food. My friend ordered the calamari appetizer but she sent it back because it was soggy. She also got a lemon drop & it was good. I ordered an iceberg wedge salad & it was good. For entrees we both got the chicken parmigiana. I was so disappointed because the food was very bland, absolutely no flavor! We have both been here in the past so it was a little surprising that we didn't like our entrees. read more

We were riding the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic so this nearby restaurant seemed like a good choice. It was! I don't know who or what has cost them 1/2 star to date, but it's beyond me. We all enjoyed our meals. But iI will speak only to mine. I had the soup, potato-leak. It was one of the best soups I've had - creamy and rich. Then the seafood risotto - fabulous. Creamy and loaded with perfectly cooked scallops and shrimp. And by the way, the house bread and tapenade were perfect. I could have been happy with just the bread. I saved the best for last: our server was one of the best ever. She was sweet and professional! We highly recommend this place and our highest compliment will be returning. read more

Came here with 3 colleagues on a business trip. We drove by the first day and there was a Lamborghini parked out front, so that caught our attention and brought us in the next day for dinner. The service was excellent and ambience very comfortable. I had fra diavolo. The seafood portion was large. The half lobster tail was over cooked and shriveled, but did not ruin the plate. The spaghetti was homemade (I think) and I could have eaten another plate of that alone. The sauce was not overly spicy. Dessert I chose a chocolate cake while everyone else had tiramisu. No complaints from anyone. All in all a great meal and superb service. Next time I'm in town I'll swing by again. read more

Wow. This place does it right! Service is amazing. I arrived w my wife and 2 teenage kids 10min late to our reservation. Our table wasn't ready so the manager seated us at the bar and comped a couple drinks while we waited for our table. When our table was ready the host asked "Sir, can I take your coat?" Then to my wife "Miss, can I take your coat?" My son recently broke his ankle and is on crutches so once he sat they asked, "can i take your crutches while u enjoy our food?" Jackie our waitress was all over us, super attentive. Food - all amazing! Salmon, Chicken Parm, Filet, Fra Divialolo amazing. Portions are just right and flavor and quality is top notch. Love this place! They are always so accommodating. Last nite I ordered soup to go, the tomato basil is amazing! I got home and it was the wrong one. They were very apologetic, so went back to exchange the soup and they offered a gift certificate for my troubles. So not necessary- but it is nice to feel appreciated and solidifies that they actually care about their customers. I will be back a bunch as all their food is wonderful. So, I have yet to dine in the restaurant for a "normal" occasion. I have only attended lockeepers for events in the banquet room. Wedding shower, baby shower, etc. With that said, I've had nothing but positive experiences. The place itself is beautiful. The staff is attentive. The food is delicious! I have had the chicken scallopini and it was very good. The last visit I tried the eggplant rollatini and it was also very good! I would highly recommend this place if you were looking for a place to have a shower or any other gathering and I will definitely make a trip to further explore the menu! read more

The parking situation is a nightmare though but they do have valet available. We were seated promptly though it was kind of dark for my liking -a business dinner. Food was very good and honestly the salads we ordered first were huge and delicious. Would be willing to come back with my husband as there were many things on the menu that sounded excellent. I remembered the food always being delicious and I must say it definitely was last night but what I really wanted to talk about was our waitress. The food was great and the service was just as good. We had the tomato basil soup and crab cakes as the appetizers. They were both delicious. I had the Spaghetti Fra Diavolo for my meal. It was very well made, but I don't enjoy seafood that much. I was simply trying it. I had some of the gnocchi and pork tenderloin, both were delicious. The desserts were incredible. I tried some tiramisu, creme brûlée and chocolate cake with vanilla gelato. Overall, great experience and I would like to come back again! read more
