The food and service at Lockeepers is always good. Today the service I received on my birthday from Kade R. was exceptional. Kade provided such wonderful, attentive, knowledgeable, relaxed warm yet refined service. My tuna was initially overcooked. Kade swept in and resolved the issue quickly. I had heard a lot about LockKeepers prior to the visit, I tried to tune it all out so I could take it all in. I don't drink anymore, so seeing a non alcoholic drink section was nice to see. I was made aware that the base of the Aplos was very herbal and tart. The first one brought to me was very tart. Very, very tart. I was not a fan, my dad was going to drink it, our waitress: Deja noticed and offered to have it remade. I accepted, the bartender came out to drop it off and explained how she changed it up. She stood by me and waited until I tried it. A bit much, it was better. The tartness was only at the end for a brief moment. They didn't have a specific gluten free menu, but Deja did tell us what was naturally gluten free and/or could be modified. A lot of the food is made in house. A lot of it looked appealing, but they had gluten free noodles that were not made in house. So I went with a trusted filet mignon cooked medium. The demi glace was an excellent touch. The potatoes were pretty good. The broccolini wasn't what I was hoping for. My parents dishes were much larger. Leftovers were had and enjoyed on a second day. I would maybe try the short ribs next time we would go. The building is very rustic and decorative. The bathroom is upstairs; an elevator is present is needed. A very interesting place. Staff and kitchen very accommodating. The prices are high for the amount you're given. Would love some in house pasta that is gluten free with an in house sauce. I was in the area and wanted to try LockKeepers. I am always a fan of the Savour Hospitality, which owned Il Venetian, and Marble Room. The first course was complimentary breads with olive tapenade. The breads were so rustic and delicious. The olive tapenade was a great dipping sauce. For appetizer, I got fried calamari. It was a modern Italian twist. The fried calamari was so tender. It had light breading. It was fried together with olives, sun dried tomatoes, sliced shiitake mushrooms and some basils. It was so good that I kept eating it. For entrees, I got the bone-in CAB ribeye. It was cooked medium rare. The steak was juicy, tender and had a little bite to it. The asparagus was great in the dish. However, I was not too keen on crispy potatoes with Gorgonzola cheese. The cheese kinda made the potatoes a bit salty. I didn't enjoyed it at all. The beef short rib was another entree I tried as well. It was tender but the flavor was not deep and complex. Overall, the restaurant did a good job with the food. Came here for my birthday dinner. Had reservations at 5pm. Per the site they had happy hour during this time however no happy hour menu was given to us. Place is clean and big (2 floors). We started off with the calamari which was delicious then ordered the Caesar salad. I was between ordering the lobster ravioli and the seafood risotto. Decided on the seafood risotto which was very good and had a good portion size but I will probably opt for the ravioli next time. My husband was between the filet and ribeye. The ribeye was over cooked and you can see below (& Taste) the grilled charred on steak. Probably will lean towards seafood at this restaurant over steak. Stopped in for happy hour Friday evening before we went to the movies to see wicked. They have a great happy hour menu!! Bartenders were attentive and friendly. Had some delicious red wine paired with a few apps (pepperoni pizza, sun dried tomato dip and chips, cheese plate, Cesar salad) and had to top it off by the seasonal dessert which was to die for!! The restaurant is super cute inside and our server Karen was great. That's pretty much the reason for the high rating because, the food wasn't as good as we anticipated. Everything was very bland. It wasn't horrible - but bland! After we went home and added salt it was good but for the prices I figured it would've came seasoned. We had an amazing team dinner at LockKeepers. Everything from start to finish was absolutely amazing. We started off with some varied cocktails and wine, along with calamari, bread, antipasto, meatballs, and grilled artichokes. We also tried a featured appetizer that was crab and lobster, it was over the top delicious! We ordered a variety of entrees including steaks, chicken parmesan, and beef short rib. Many of us also started with a Caesar salad that was delicious! Our server was a real gem, I apologize for forgetting his name. For dessert we had a variety of options again, many of us chose the affogato, but the bundino and the creme brulee were delicious as well. Honestly I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu here, it will definitely be a required stop the next time I'm in the area. read more

I stopped in with a great friend yesterday and enjoyed a beautiful 18 oz ribeye with potatoes and asparagus, paired with an incredible bottle of 2015 Marcassin Pinot Noir. Not a fan of the food quality. I chose the beef short ribs. Tasted dry, and IMHO worse than overcooked pot roast with fat completely rendered out. My wife's chicken dish was much better. Kids had some unremarkable pasta. Even the calimari app was short on substance and loaded with adornment. Bottom line, the artfully presented food is low on quality and value. Most laud the service here but for us it was average. A bit of bad luck on atmosphere as the large table next to us was loud and throwing F-bombs in earshot of our young children. YMMV.... read more

We also had another person unexpectedly show up in which they were super accommodating for our reservation and switched us to a whole new table! The food was so so ravishing and delicious. Arrived at an odd time around 2:25pm for a late lunch. The restaurant was fairly quiet and we enjoyed the ambience with a faint hint of music in the background. There was plenty of space and we were greeted by our server Nichole. Parking is behind the restaurant and down a slight incline. Drop off your elderly family members and the staff are great about helping with your family members. Service: very good and attentive. Nichole checked on us and made sure our water was filled. Food: the bread with olive tapenade was a wonderful snack before ordering. The bread was crusty and soft texture with the grainy tapenade was perfect. We ordered the beef carpaccio. Have not been here for a very long time. Joined friends for a dinner to catch up. Has reservations and were told we would be seated at our time. Was a bit later. Service was ok with sandy. Prices were very reasonable, portions are generous, management stopped at the table. The reason for three stars? At 2110 they brought out the vacuum cleaner. Yes. I suspect they close at 2100 and that it was a Friday night? Very unusual but hey, they had a crowd in spite of the pick up your feet so we can vacuum around you. I was part of a group of 8 for a birthday party at 11:30 this week. Our waiter was wonderful, attentive and very efficient. I ordered the special, which was swordfish on a bed of various vegetables. It was very tasty, well prepared, not a huge portion but enough for me. Pricey, but that's how things are these days. At that early time of the day the place was not very crowded, I was surprised to realize that the restrooms are upstairs, the ladies room kind of hidden a bit. Yes, there is an elevator for those who have issues with the steep steps up to that second floor. Parking is an issue, I had arrived early and got a spot close to the entrance, but I cannot imagine going later in the day or even evening. I am not a valet parking user. You can park across the street or in the back. Although it was a good experience, I would not go back unless being invited to some kind of special occasion. read more

It's been a few years since I've been to LockKeepers and I left as happy as I did the previous times. We arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation and the staff got us seated quickly. The interior was nicely decorated with a Christmas theme. The menu is mostly Italian and fabulous. It's quite difficult to make a selection. The staff was very accommodating and was able to customize my order and make a veal Parmesan in substitute of Milanese. The experience here was wonderful and I will be back again. read more

I came here for a work event and had the best experience! We were seated in one of their private dining rooms and got a simplified menu because there were a lot of us. We first got the simple green salad and it was a great start! Not overly dressed and the flavor was good! At this time we were also served our bread to pair with the butter and olive tapenade.... & YUM! Even days after the event were were talking about how delicious the olive tapenade was at work! (I wish I could've taken some home!) My friends that got the seared salmon said it was some of the best food they've had!! It was perfectly flavored, not over cooked, and the sauces paired well with everything on the plate! I got the beef short ribs and WOW was it to die for! I had a hard time picking between the dishes offered, but I'm very happy with my choice! The asparagus was cooked perfect! The mashed potatoes had the perfect amount of buttery taste in each bite you couldn't get enough of them, especially with the braised beef juices mixed in! And the beef itself was AMAZING! It was cooked perfectly and tasted heavenly.... With every bite I kept wishing I would look back down to a fuller plate than before the bite! I loved it so much! The staff treated us amazing and never left a glass empty for more than a minute (wine or water!)
