We have been dining at LockKeepers for decades. Anywhere from our normal seating of 4 up to our family Holiday Parties involving many more. The food is fabulous, the staff is extremely professional and friendly. The Restaurant interior is very pretty . The location is ideal for gatherings of friends from the east, west, south sides Cleveland. Parking is great and the meals are well worth the cost. Highly Recommended ! ! read more

I was excited to come here for dinner and heard good things. I know it is an expensive restaurant so I did have high hopes. Unfortunately, overall I was not impressed with the service, ambiance or the food. It was a warm day out so we requested to sit outside on their patio. Had I known it was next to the highway I would have reconsidered. What a horrible placement for people to dine next to. On top of that, the décor outside was lacking. I would think that since this is a fancier restaurant they would at least have a linen on the table for guests. I felt like I could have been at a burger joint based on the table set up. On top of the first impression, our server was taking care of the entire patio by herself (that's what she told us) and she was very overwhelmed. This was a Friday night, why would they only schedule one server to take the entire patio? I mean it is June so you would think they would be aware of the warmer weather. I felt bad because she seemed flustered and no one as helping her. Once our food came out I was hoping things would start to look up. I ordered the ahi tuna which was paired with couscous and cauliflower which is an interesting combo. I did not care for the sides but I did like the tuna. I also have to mention that for $32 you think it would at least come with a side salad. Nope, none of the entrees were served with a house salad. My husband had the bone in ribeye ($45) and did like his food. The portions were a good size too so that was a plus! We came here to celebrate Valentine's Day and really enjoyed our experience. The parking is a mess, so utilize the free valet. This is an upscale restaurant with a romantic vibe. The decor is a little dated, but has a 90's charm about it. It has good lighting and the staff is very professional. It sets the mood for a great experience. We started with a bottle of the Orin swift abstract, which is a good wine for the price. They have a pretty extensive wine list, all of which are marked up about $20, which is fair for this type of restaurant. I had the branzino special which came with 2 filets and roasted squash over barley and a cauliflower purée, it was outstanding. My wife had the seafood fra diavolo, which came with house made pasta, a spicy tomato sauce and lobster, shrimp, calamari, mussels and clams. She enjoyed the generous portion of seafood, however the shrimp and lobster were a little overcooked. The pasta had a weird consistency, which reminded me of ramen noodles. For dessert, she had the hazelnut tort....it was huge! She really enjoyed it and took 3/4 of it home. It was very rich. Overall we really enjoyed our dinner/experience and will surely be back. This type of fine dining seems a little out of place in its location, but is worth a visit. read more

The upside that leads to it's success is the friendly staff, large portions of food, the atmosphere, and the wine and spirits poured. When dining out we look for a certain creativity of a kitchen or a wow that might arrive at the point of presentation. The cup of tomato artichoke soup and glass of Chianti was a good start. Lockkeepers has been a gem in Cleveland for a long time, and has managed to stay on top and stay popular with great food and great service in a beautiful setting. Their entrees are all reasonably priced, and from the time you are greeted at the hosting stand and throughout your entire experience you feel welcome. Service is prompt without feeling rushed, and attentive without feeling overbearing. It is a great place for a business lunch or a night out. I had the salmon which was perfectly cooked and flavorful without being fishy. The vegetables were crisp. I didn't have the cheesecake but everyone at my table raved about it. Great times here! My review is from a summer visit. We came here on august'18. Although it wasn't my first visit at this place, this time I took pictures of my experience. The owners are same people that own marble room- so of course, you would expect the best time. And it was! The food was excellent and quickly prepared. I loved my watermelon salad- so refreshing during the hot days. My son got his order with modifications that asked- really appreciated it. I loved my specialty cocktail that came with popsicle inside- had never seen it before. The cocktail was well-prepared and tasty. Two minuses: the interior seemed worn out (looked the same since 2015) and the restrooms were on the second floor. Basically you need to walk through all place to get to the toilet :) But I still will come back and suggesting others to visit read more

Spaghetti fra diabolical was heavenly. Perfectly cooked pasta with good seafood and tomato sauce with a kick, was delicious.

Well the Risotto did not disappoint as I'm sitting here in a semi food coma. I could only eat half of it as it is very filling. I kinda wish there was an upgrade option though for a full lobster tail as once you cut it up it's only good for about 5 small bites. I did also try the calamari and although it wasn't bad I could have done without it. Once you've had the calamari at Cafe Martorano's in south Florida it's impossible to like anyone else's. read more

(6/5/19) Reviews are mixed here and I'm surprised. Our experience began with two young men opening the front doors for us. We were guided to our table by a nice hostess. The atmosphere of the restaurant was dark woods and subdued lighting. Our table was covered with a nice woven fiber tablecloth. Our server, Jackie, presented the wine list and our menus. She told us about the different specials, one of which, the diver scallops appetizer sounded yum! I ordered the diver scallops as my appetizer while my son ordered the tomato based vegetable soup. My son has been undergoing radiation therapy in Cleveland and is having trouble with solid foods and textures. He was able to drink the broth, but the vegetables were a no go. He remarked on how delicious the broth was and Jackie brought him a full cup! The diver scallops were accompanied by a delicious succotash and a brightly colored broth. The scallops were perfectly seared and melted in your mouth. It was a true pleasure to eat food where every component played a part and joined to create a harmonious dish. But even before we met Jackie, we met a very nice young man who brought us bread. It was his birthday last night. He stood out for being very well dressed and well mannered. For our mains, my son ordered a veal chop, tomahawk-style and I ordered the Seafood Fra Diablo. My son was unable to eat much of his chop because of the texture difficulties but he did take it home with us. The seafood Fra Diablo was excellent. The pasta was cooked al dente and the seafood melted in your mouth. The broth was a tomato and saffron creation that had very subtle flavors but also heightened the flavors of the mussels, clams and lobster. My son had peach sorbetto for dessert and I had pistachio gelato and coconut sorbetto. It arrived like a flight of beer , three small bowls on a rectangular white plate. Both the gelato and sorbettos were very smooth and creamy. All were delicious. Neither of us can wait till we have a chance to return. Thank you for a truly exceptional meal! read more

Happy hour review! I stopped in a few minutes before happy hour started (4-6) on a Friday evening and there were about 6 other people at the bar. But this place was packed by the time I left at 6pm plus a wedding reception in their upstairs banquet room. From my experience it is easy to see why all these people stopped by: the food and drink are fantastic. I eat Brussels sprouts off every menu and they have some of the best I've ever eaten. The crunch, the seasoning, the taste on these were perfect! I also enjoyed the sausage stuffed peppers. For the drinks I tried the peach Bellini and loved the Italian margarita. This margarita replaces the triple sec with amaretto and it is fabulous. I know I will be back in for those Brussels sprouts and maybe give their dinner menu a try too. read more

Went for Mother's Day last month, with the family. Dishes had a distinctly Italian flair to them. Tomato basil artichoke soup was creamy with chunks of tomato and artichoke throughout and had a rustic tomato flavor. I had the Lasagna, which had the same rustic tomato based sauce on it with four cheeses, giving it a pungent flavor. I did not try the other entrees, but everyone seemed to enjoy what they ordered. For dessert, we shared a vanilla gelato with warm peanut butter and dark chocolate sauces for the table.
