Gran Fiesta was a great find. The inside of the restaurant is massive and beautifully decorated, giving it a lively but comfortable atmosphere. Our booth was cozy--comfortable, though a bit snug for four people. Our server was friendly and helpful throughout the meal, which always makes a difference. The table salsa immediately stood out; it was different from what I'm used to at most Mexican restaurants, but in a really good way. I ordered the Cochinita Pibil, and it was incredible. The pork was tender, packed with flavor, and clearly well-prepared. Even the rice was delicious, which isn't always the case elsewhere. Overall, great food, great service, and a welcoming space. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. read more

I was pleasantly surprised. This restaurant is connected to the hotel. The inside is beautifully decorated and nicely spaced out. Their menu has a variety of options to choose from, there's something for everyone. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was attentive as well. Went for an early dinner. Place was not busy and food came out quickly and was delicious. Iced tea tasted like water though. My wife had a fajita salad and said it was quite good. My daughter had the special, a hearty bowl of chicken tortilla soup. Even the kids meal taco, rice and beans was weol prepared. I had my favorite...the seafood fajita meal. I came in for a late lunch after my flight into town. I was feeling a bit under the weather so I was deciding between the chicken or seafood soup. I wanted the caldo del mar (seafood soup) but its hard to find a good one so I asked the waitress what she thought was best and that made me give in. I have to say that it surpassed my expectations. It had fish, shrimp, lobster, carrots, squash, cauliflower, and broccoli. Everything to make me feel better. 100% recommend if you love seafood!!! read more

We went to the new Gran Fiesta in Independence on their second day of business and we were impressed! We started with the bean dip which is actually a bean and cheese dip (yum!). I had the #7 combo (enchilada, chile relleno, rice, beans), my husband had the cheesesteak burrito, and my daughter had the chicken tenders, all of which were tasty. We also did both the churros and fried ice cream for dessert. The place is decorated in an eclectic but fun style. The servers came around frequently to make sure our drinks were always full. Plenty of parking. Went around 2 pm so not busy. Plenty of people working but most looking at their phones and standing around. After 15 minutes I motioned for someone to come bring us water. Food came quickly after ordering and was good. But had to flag them down to refill our water so hard to enjoy food when I'm thirsty. Service was good. Entrees were typical of local Mexican restaurants. Guac was very good. The place is large and they did a nice job with the decor. Why the 2 stars? The margaritas. The handmade golden version, which should have only fresh lime and no pre-mix, tasted like sugar water, even after added an extra shot of liquor. The 9 others at the table--same thing. Everything was reminiscent of melted popsicles with extra sugar. The sweetness is enough to make someone sick. When you pay for a basic (no fruit flavors) handmade margerita, you should know that it is an adult beverage. It should not taste like a juice box. We will not be back unless and until the bar staff either learn how to, or are permitted to, make a drinkable adult margarita. read more

There's a nice view from the dining area overlooking Cleveland and Rockside Road. It's slightly above average Mexican food however it's a bit on the expensive side. The weight staff was very friendly. The restaurant was very clean. We had the fajitas and a chicken bowl and really didn't have anything to complain about. read more

The food was what you would expect (not as good as their Strongsville location). The place is beautiful and clean. I have been to this location four times. Each time the service is sloowwww. At first, I gave them grace because they were new. But this last time was such a disappointment. The Gran Fiesta in Strongsville is always busy, but service is always fast, and food is always piping hot. I expected the same service here because they are the same owners. This last time really disappointed me. Mind you, every time I went, it was NEVER busy. If you have two hours to spare to wait for food that does not come out hot, give this place a try, otherwise, it is not worth it. I really tried to give them time to settle into a good routine, but I will not go there anymore, unless i have all day to waste at the restaurant. read more

Eh. One and done experience. Ordered over the phone, food was ready shortly which was nice. Unfortunately, the food itself was pretty subpar. Ordered the Big Burrito Don Ramon with chicken - it's supposed to come with cheese inside and red sauce on top, but you'd never know because it was nearly non-existent. Chicken was pretty dry, not much flavor in the whole thing since there was hardly any sauce. Drizzle the salsa cup on top of everything and it wasn't bad. Also, girl working at the front was visibly and verbally annoyed when I didn't leave a tip for picking up my phone order. I don't mind leaving tips to servers and when necessary, but all she did was literally just turn around and grab the bagged food off the shelf, and hand it to me. She didn't even greet me at the counter, lol. Just "what was the name?" That whole thing was kinda whack. Yeah, overall like a 5/10. Flashy, pretty atmosphere, but expensive and subpar. Save some money and visit a more authentic Mexican place literally right around the corner at Cozumel's. Always have had a very solid experience. read more
