    Cochinita Pibil

Gran Fiesta was a great find. The inside of the restaurant is massive and beautifully decorated, giving it a lively but comfortable atmosphere. Our booth was cozy--comfortable, though a bit snug for four people. Our server was friendly and helpful throughout the meal, which always makes a difference. The table salsa immediately stood out; it was different from what I'm used to at most Mexican restaurants, but in a really good way. I ordered the Cochinita Pibil, and it was incredible. The pork was tender, packed with flavor, and clearly well-prepared. Even the rice was delicious, which isn't always the case elsewhere. Overall, great food, great service, and a welcoming space. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

I have been to Gran fiesta in Strongsville many times but this was my first time trying the Independence location. The decor was very nice, loved the ambiance. Also the restaurant is huge, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Quantities are massive just like their other locations. All in all, a solid spot for Mexican food.

Went for an early dinner. Place was not busy and food came out quickly and was delicious. Iced tea tasted like water though. My wife had a fajita salad and said it was quite good. My daughter had the special, a hearty bowl of chicken tortilla soup. Even the kids meal taco, rice and beans was weol prepared. I had my favorite...the seafood fajita meal. A coupon helps with the sting of high menu prices. Recommended!

This place has great ambiance and decor! Very charming with a nice view of the city. Also, excellent service. The food was delicious. I had the steak quesadilla and it was tasty. I will have to come here again!

I came in for a late lunch after my flight into town. I was feeling a bit under the weather so I was deciding between the chicken or seafood soup. I wanted the caldo del mar (seafood soup) but its hard to find a good one so I asked the waitress what she thought was best and that made me give in. I have to say that it surpassed my expectations. It had fish, shrimp, lobster, carrots, squash, cauliflower, and broccoli. Everything to make me feel better. 100% recommend if you love seafood!!!

I just love this place from the decor, service and food. It's simply amazing and I highly recommend it.

Chili Poblano and Encilada. Rice and beans.

Gran Fiesta is now my go-to Mexican restaurant. I have introduced many friends and family. The chili poblanos are excellent. I am now getting the chicken soup. It's wondeful. I recommend this place very highly.

We went to the new Gran Fiesta in Independence on their second day of business and we were impressed! We started with the bean dip which is actually a bean and cheese dip (yum!). I had the #7 combo (enchilada, chile relleno, rice, beans), my husband had the cheesesteak burrito, and my daughter had the chicken tenders, all of which were tasty. We also did both the churros and fried ice cream for dessert. The place is decorated in an eclectic but fun style. The servers came around frequently to make sure our drinks were always full. All around I recommend!

El Potosino. Chicken, shrimp, cheese sauce and cheese. Over vegetables, which were peppers and onions. Served with rice and beans.

Nice, clean, and comfortable. Lots of room in the dining area and nicely decorated. Service was great. Food was cooked to order. And very good. I loved the flavor of the rice. These are new dishes we tried from any Mexican food we've had, and enjoyed it. We will definitely be back to try other dishes. Three others came by to check on us and to see if we needed more drinks. Nothing but good food.

    Top Shelf Margarita! Amazing flavor

Service is always great. They treat you like a vip every time! I usually sit at the bar. The bartenders are very accommodating and enthusiastic yo show us a good time.

The first course was complimentary breads with olive tapenade. The breads were so rustic and delicious. The olive tapenade was a great dipping sauce. For appetizer, I got fried calamari. It was a modern Italian twist. The fried calamari was so tender. It had light breading. It was fried together with olives, sun dried tomatoes, sliced shiitake mushrooms and some basils. It was so good that I kept eating it. For entrees, I got the bone-in CAB ribeye. It was cooked medium rare. The steak was juicy, tender and had a little bite to it. The asparagus was great in the dish. However, I was not too keen on crispy potatoes with Gorgonzola cheese. The cheese kinda made the potatoes a bit salty. I didn't enjoyed it at all. The beef short rib was another entree I tried as well. It was tender but the flavor was not deep and complex. Overall, the restaurant did a good job with the food. I would come back if I am ever in the area.

I don't drink anymore, so seeing a non alcoholic drink section was nice to see. I was made aware that the base of the Aplos was very herbal and tart. The first one brought to me was very tart. Very, very tart. I was not a fan, my dad was going to drink it, our waitress: Deja noticed and offered to have it remade. I accepted, the bartender came out to drop it off and explained how she changed it up. She stood by me and waited until I tried it. A bit much, it was better. The tartness was only at the end for a brief moment. They didn't have a specific gluten free menu, but Deja did tell us what was naturally gluten free and/or could be modified. A lot of the food is made in house. A lot of it looked appealing, but they had gluten free noodles that were not made in house. So I went with a trusted filet mignon cooked medium. The demi glace was an excellent touch. The potatoes were pretty good. The broccolini wasn't what I was hoping for. My parents dishes were much larger. Leftovers were had and enjoyed on a second day. I would maybe try the short ribs next time we would go. The building is very rustic and decorative. The bathroom is upstairs; an elevator is present is needed. A very interesting place. Staff and kitchen very accommodating. The prices are high for the amount you're given. Would love some in house pasta that is gluten free with an in house sauce. I was there primarily for the company. Not my favorite spot. I would be willing to go again.

The booth I sat in was ran down, you shouldn't sink into the booths when you find that perfect "@ss spot" being used for over 5 years. (Pet peeve of mines, this is why I hate booths). The menu is sort of all over the place with no cohesiveness. The price points for the quality and quantity is off for me, way off. I wanted the wedge salad but was told they have no ranch... "how don't you have ranch" I ordered the chicken piccata, it was nothing to write home about. Strike two when the waiter asked did I "need any salt and pepper, hot sauce". (Eyebrow raise, hot sauce!?!?) They warmed the frozen chicken breast up nice. The sauce was good but a burnt flavor lingered. Not sure if it was the sauce or the burnt vegetables. The mashed potatoes were congealed and flavorless. After I found a dime sized black flat ball of something in the mashed potatoes I had enough. I looked at all the beautiful dishes on yelp before I came here. ***WARNING*** if you don't see good pics and reviews within 10 months or so old, DONT DO IT!
