My landlord owns a construction firm and they only work with the best vendors and use one locksmith exclusively: The Lock Doctor. The owner, Maher, seems like a deeply ethical person and I've met him a couple of times when apartments were being re-keyed or a tenant was locked out. At my landlord's urging, Maher came out to assess whether I needed security enhancements on my apartment door after I received some (cough) mailed "warnings" from an ex-boyfriend. Maher arrived within the hour. I will say this: No one is getting through that front door unless he arrives with 5 men and a Medieval battering ram. Thank you, Maher, for being the best at what you do. read more

What's worse: Finally leaving for home after an exquisitely long work day for a particularly long work week, realizing you've somehow locked your keys in the car, and then discover your AAA card (which was suppose to auto renew) has expired. * By the way, AAA was nice enough to say they'd help find a locksmith but hung up on me instead. (F.U.AAA) Or how about Getting back home at one in the morning, after a very arduous drive from Disneyland, and having the key break as you're trying to open the front door lock while the rest of the family is sound asleep in the car? In both scenarios, thank goodness Lock Doctor Maher was there to the rescue. I don't know if Maher just happened to be around the corner when I called or if he just drives hella fast, but that dude gets to where he needs to be quick. He steps out of the Lock Mobile, figures out what needs to be done, does his thing, and then he's off to save another person in need. Seriously, Maher is the man. He's fast, efficient, and a really good guy. This last time he saved me, he even gave me a repeat user discount and said to give him a call anytime I needed. For sure, but in the mean time, I said I'd write a review to show all my appreciation. read more

Immediate help- a real champion. Fast, effect, and friendly. The Nest locksmith for helping when you get locked-out.

This guy is a true hero! I broke my key to start my car at 10pm and he was there within the hour to make me a new key and program it to my car. As I was talking to him while he was doing my car he told me he also changed locks on houses and came out the next morning and installed me key pad lock on my front door that I've always wanted. I definitely recommend this company to anyone and everyone!!! 5 stars all the way!!!!! read more

My store was broken into right before Christmas. The locksmith came out the next day (on his lunch hour because he was booked up) and quickly added a couple of new dead bolts to my door. Very grateful that I could relax about my shop over the holidays. Thank you Lock Doctor!! read more

Awesome experience with Ibrahim from Lock Doctor. Super responsive and best price available after getting several quotes. We thought we needed a rekeying but he explained why we needed a new lock to fix the issues with our keys. Also the friendliest guy ever. Thanks and highly recommended! read more

Maher is absolutely brilliant at what he does. I called him last week when I needed 3 entry locks rekeyed. He came immediately (within an hour) and got the work done within 20 minutes. He is very reliable and does incredible work. I have had him do work for me in the past also and can safely say that he is the best in the business! Highly recommended. read more

Yesterday I posted a negative review after not hearing from this service and was upset because it seemed I'd been blown off. That was not the case at all. I'm changing this to a 5-star review because I heard from them today. I don't think it's right to divulge personal information, but what I *can* say is that, not only did they have what sounds like one of the worst days, ever (and I mean EVER), I didn't receive their voicemails until this morning. They had left the message last night - it was displayed on the timestamps - but technology can mess up for all of us and that's what's happened here. Though I had to make other arrangements, I am confident Lock Doctor is an upstanding service and wouldn't hesitate to contact them. They offered to provide me their service at a highly difficult time - for free - to make it right. When a business will put their money on the line at one of the most stressful moments, personally, that speaks volumes about how seriously they want to do a good job for their customers. Absolutely would work with them, really good people. read more

Great business showed up wearing a mask and was very kind. Very Knowledgeable about locks And very honest will be definitely doing business with him again read more

To summarize, they got the job done. Nothing special. I was calling around for an emergency locksmith to help my friend, and they were quick to respond and send someone to over immediately. I wish they had a better tracking system for their employees because they were not very good at giving an accurate estimate for when they would be on-site. Maybe that's normal but seriously, this is the era of technology. Plus I left to run some errands and when I returned hours later, the guy was still there. Does it take that long to change locks? I'm inexperienced with calling emergency locksmith services, but I was disappointed by the quality and warmth of service after reading so many stellar reviews on Yelp. I don't think the person who did this job was the one they raved about, and I wish it had. Maybe he's new to the company! Anyways, thank you simply for a job completed. read more

Lock Doctor this time was unable to help me with a new model car key So why give him 5 stars? because 5 minutes after telling me he was unable to help he called me back to tell me he had someone who could ! How kind was that!! Thank you sir all worked out perfect read more

Well after speaking with their representatives they said that they wouldn't refund me for more then hour waisting my time and broken locker. As I said I would be totally fine if it's real complicated door but this is regular locker for 20$ from Home Depot Probably 125$ more important for them Not recommended this service Honestly he said that I'm rude and won't give me refund also he blocked me First of all tech did not explain me anything about braking bedroom locker and that I suppose to pay for that. I would rather brake the door it would be cheaper for me. It's not fair And I would not leave that like that... read more

Stood me up. TWICE! No apology or acknowledgement either time. There's nothing else to add if they never even showed.

Maher arrived right on time as he said he would, he was quick and thorough. Second time I've used him, and wouldn't hesitate to use him again. read more

I'm in the Stonestown Mall parking lot with full load of groceries and beer from Trader Joe's, and I've locked my keys in the car. I call another place - they keep telling me they'll be there in half-an-hour or a few minutes, but keep not showing up. We call Lock Doctor - Adam says he'll be there in 15 minutes. Exactly 15 minutes later, he arrives and is as friendly and helpful as anyone can be. Thank you for your reliability. read more

Maher was very professional and flexible. I contacted around 1pm and he showed up immediately in the afternoon! He did not only fix our lock but give me a lot of advices about how to secure our property better and how to avoid mail theft by modifying our mailbox. It was a pleasure working with him! read more

Once again, Lock Doctor to the rescue. This time on Christmas Eve. It isn't the first time they've helped me out in a jam and I doubt it will be the last. I am so grateful for them, every time I've needed them they've been there within an hour and then just a few minutes later, I'm in. Can't say enough good things about them. read more

Hi I would like to explain my bad experience with lock Doctor. I missed my appointment very important because the tech couldn't open Bedroom door!! For an hour and a half! Afterwards he said the that the locker needs to be broken Wich is ok if it's complicated main door or similar. Owner would give me any refund for this bad service, I could broke locker myself and save 150$ I do not recommend this service read more

I was referred to Maher and he did everything he said he would do. I have a longstanding relationship with another locksmith and they could not schedule me for 3 days, and I was a bit desperate so I called on the Lock Doc and he came in no time at all. I had three locks re-keyed at my house yesterday, it took barely 10 minutes! Excellent service, friendly, and knowledgeable - I also got some good advice on how best to handle security for my garage and car. I would recommend the Lock Doctor to anyone! read more

Looked online for a Locksmith who could perform programming of a new key to anti-theft module and cut the key to match at the same time and stumbled upon LockDoctor. Maher came by, attempted to program the key for our Jeep. I had a new key from the dealer, but needed a pin code to have it programmed. Called the dealer, they could not help me with a pin code. THE DEALER!!! Maher says, "Let me give it a shot" and proceeded to retrieve a code from Chrysler's online database. After a few unsuccessful tries, he was able to get a the required pin code to program the key!!! I called many other, and many of them don't offer BOTH services. It's either one or the other. Fast service, competitive pricing with quality work...what more could you ask for???Big thanks to Maher for being professional, fast and efficient!!! Hopefully won't need locksmith services in the near future...but if I do, I'm definitely calling Lock Doctor first!!! read more

Maher came out quick and was fast!!!!! Thank god for his amazing service. Polite and straight to the point. No funny prices. What more can you ask for? read more

Called to ask about a non-emergency issue with the lock on my bathroom door. He explained that it would be a lot cheaper for me to remove the lock and take it to another shop as they'll likely charge me less than half what he would if he came by my home to fix it. The guy is aces, and if I ever do need a housecall, he'll get my business. read more

I lost my car keys and, after turning our home upside down and searching everywhere I could think of, I finally decided to shop around for a car locksmith. After calling around and doing some research I found the Lock Doctor. Base price they quoted me at was $250, which was ~$20 cheaper than all the other places I considered. Unfortunately I didn't catch the name of the guy that helped me, but when he rolled up to my house he was very friendly and fast--like MAYBE 15 minutes, if that. But that's not even the best part! He gave me a second key at a discounted price...and then gave me a third key for free! His kindness literally soothed my aching heart and wallet from having to deal with this crappy situation I'd gotten myself into. So so glad I decided to go with them. The one thing I will mention is that when I called the day before, the gentleman I spoke with quoted me at $225 base...and I know I couldn't have heard wrong because he was on speaker and my boyfriend heard too, and I saved the number in my contacts so I could call back today (as no one was available on a Sunday). Not too big a deal--I'll take 250 over 270+ along with my L. My advice, if you haven't already gleaned it from this review, is to give them a call, because chances are you won't find better prices and service elsewhere! read more

Great experience for these reasons: *Speedy-Maher came out within 15 mins of me calling him. (Just happened to be free and nearby.) *Friendly *Informative-we had a difficult problem, and he walked us through all the options, making sure we understood them all. *No-pressure-he didn't try to up-sell anything and was honest about the pros and cons of the options. *Fair pricing I would definitely recommend the Lock Doctor and look forward to working with him on future projects. read more

We lost our car keys in the city. AAA told us to call another vendor but they quoted us $500 to recut our key. I searched some other vendors on Yelp and Lock Doctor was the most reasonably priced. Maher got to us within 30 minutes, was super efficient, friendly, and informative. Thank you Maher for providing such great customer service after a horrible mishap of losing our keys in SF. read more

I don't usually write bad reviews, but I would not recommend this person. He came to change a deadbolt, but refused to fix my doorknob, saying that it is not want he does. I have called a dozen locksmiths and two dealerships. I was quoted from $185. to $375. (Dealer) I had already bought the blank keys with chips (online) and he was willing to cut and program what I had and didn't try to sell me the a new blank etc. for an extra $100+ Here's the low-down: He's Fair, he's nice, he reasonable, he was fast, he's competent and he's professional. Locksmiths are an odd bunch. Mahar at Lock Doctor is normal. He programmed my keys for $100. per key. A great Price for great service! SAVE YOURSELF $$ AND A HEADACHE, CALL Lock Doctor.
