Outstanding spot for a beer and a great meal! One of the very best in Centerville/Springboro/Kettering area. The beer selection is well rounded. Count on 6-8 house brews and a few other special guests on tap. Full bar as well if you favor a cocktail. The menu is solid, with a few standouts. The wings are TOO GOOD TOO PASS UP (Get em, you won't regret it). The daily specials board is always changing and offers many great ideas and unique creations. Opah fish recently was fantastic. Service is always attentive and kind. Mollie is great! It can be a tough table on a busy night since it is fairly small, only about 12 4 tops, a couple 8 tops and 12 at the bar. 5 stars for Dayton for the food and brews. It's in our top 2 for dinner in Metro Dayton. We almost always order the specials (from the blackboard), but our regular alternates are the tacos, or ordering a few appetizers and one of thier great salads. The microbrews and mixed drinks are also delicious. The one area of the menu needing expansion is thier desserts. read more

We used to get consistently good meals here, and really enjoyed it. I mean really, really enjoyed it! However, it seems that since they opened the other location the quality at the Centerville spot has headed downhill. The last meal I ordered here was flat out disgusting. Covered in cooking grease (bottom of the plate included) and sauce slopped all over the side of the dish. The food I ordered today was not even edible....think limp, partially cooked bacon that was GRAY. And the fries tasted burnt. And the waitstaff...WTH. I asked for a pelligrino....15 min later she came back to ask what sort of mimosa I wanted. We had to go get our own drink menus off the reserved table, since we weren't brought any. And when I called the day prior.....I was told they do not take brunch reservations. The beer is always great, so let's get that out of the way. We ordered the bacon bites appetizer, always a winner! For our entrees, my hubs got the Coq a'vin (weekly special), I ordered the tacos with the blackened fish. The Coq a'vin was very good. The tacos were ok. The fish in them was fantastic! Wish that was the basis for a dish. My one down note: please don't use rice with a distinct Indian flavoring for tacos! Indian and Mexican, 2 very different cuisines with VERY different flavor profiles. We also waited a little too long for dinner. But, all in all, a nice dinner. read more

Very poorly managed restaurant. My husband and I ordered cheeseburgers and frites. I think they ran out of dishes. My burger was served on cocktail napkin on a tiny bread plate, no frites, no explanation. His burger was served on a rectangular appetizer plate, also no frites. I thought maybe the frites would come soon. After 10 minutes the server finally checked on us, and I asked about the frites. The reply was, "Oh", and another 10-15 minutes or so went by when she came back, not with the frites, but asking about our check. She had completely forgotten and never acknowledged the bizarreness of my 1/2 meal served on a bread plate. I had to ask her to remove the frites from our check. Her response lacked all concern. There was someone that seemed like a manager running around scooping up plates, and he took the ones from our table, but didn't ask how our meal was or acknowledge that we were served makeshift dishes or only half our meals. A little explanation or at least acknowledgement of the issue would have gone a long way. Epic customer no service. 2nd visit, but first time post Covid. We won't be back. read more

One of the best places in town! They are an all scratch kitchen - even the ketchup is homemade! Their specials are unique and regularly changing. The service is always very good and I've tried a variety of things from the breakfast sandwich and fish and chips to the chicken and waffles (AMAZING) to the burgers. Never been disappointed!!! Very easy going for a restaurant. The staff are amazing and knowledgeable. The brews are delightful. The menu is always changing and they write it on the wall in chalk. They have the best wings I've ever had anywhere. I'll be going back for lunch again very soon. read more

So So at best! The beer is good, the place looks really nice, the food was good 7 out of 10 but the service was 0.5 out of 10! There was 4 families outside sitting and it took 16 mins to get a beer and then it came out wrong. Lock 27 tries to present itself as an upscale gastro pub, which is a tough act to pull off in a strip mall between an All-State office and a Bed Bath and Beyond. Came here for Sunday brunch. Had a Grand Mimosa (not their own but rather a third party Brew). It was perfect for Missy day Sunday brunch. Loved it. Poutine was solid. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Took his recommendation for the wings and didn't regret it. Got them mild with hot sauce on the side. The run on them was amazing. This place is definitely worth a stop. The chilaquiles were good but need to be soaked in a sauce more to be more authentic. However I still have this a five since everything in Ohio is rated a four and there is no way to differentiate. This is a good place. We will be back. read more

So after being less than impressed with the food, I came back a month and a half later and they have servers and an updated food menu. From what I saw, the food was coming out fast and people were very satisfied. Like I said, if they just worked out a few kinks, it would thrive. My husband and I went here tonight and the food was very good! My fiesta burger was cooked perfectly and my husband's soft shell po'boy was large and tasty! The fries were all crunchy and had a good flavor to them without being greasy, I recommend trying the pesto mayo sauce with them. The one downside to the restaurant is that they're listed on the no wait app as "come on in" but there was a 30-45 minute wait which is unusual for other restaurants using no wait. They need more seating at their Centerville location, as they are always busy and you can wait a while​ for a table. That said, the​ food is excellent although their menu is small but really we are just all here for the beer! They have a great beer selection with awesome flavored craft beer selections. This is NOT a kid friendly place at all. This place sells primarily beer with sone highly overpriced food. They had no lemons for my fish sandwich, and when I asked for tarter sauce it was the anount of a teaspoon, then I found out I was charged extra for that..Do YOURSELF a favor and eat somewhere else and just have beers here. If you like blan food and want to overpay, then this a place for you..oh and the service is substandard. .No one asks you if you need or want anything , I wish I had eaten at home with my own beer, less dissatisfaction.! read more

We went on a Monday night, early, no trouble getting a seat. The decor is simple, but well done, and I liked the very dark stain on the tables. Couple TVs, cement floor. The craft beers are on the chalkboard, looks like around 8 selections. You can see the brewery thru a small window. The food was good, upper level bar food. I had a cuban sandwich, there were sliders, turkey breast, ribs, shrimp curry. All were good. On to the beer. I select my IPA by the name, so "mouth breather" it was. Good flavor, hops in quantity (I vote for a beer class called near-IPA, not quite so much hops) but what I was expecting. Very good notes of wood and malt. Companions had Winston and Gingerbread, both excellent. Of course, your milage will vary, since the selection does. The wait person (owner?) was knowledgeable. We went for the unveiling of their seasonal pumpkin ale. I had low expectations for a brewery located in a strip mall in Centerville, but was very pleasantly surprised. They had a good selection of their own beers supplemented with outside beers. Their beer was good, nothing special but good. The food was good, a step up from your typical pub grub. They have a patio, but your view is a suburban parking lot. Service was fast and friendly. Overall, a good place, especially for Centerville. read more

For a Monday night Lock 27 was fairly crowded, but we were the only people waiting for a table. After waiting 30 minutes for a table, my husband I waited at least another 10 minutes without any wait staff checking with us or taking our drink orders. Very good rotating beer selection. I would like it if they took requests and ideas from customers for new beers to bring in. The food options is getting way better. Their smoked wings are out of this world. The brisket sandwich is mouth watering too. The brewing process is also slow. I do appreciate trying to stand out from the crowd but the lack of staple seasonal beers is very disappointing. No pumpkin last year no Oktoberfest ever. Plus most, NO, let me correct that, ALL breweries have some sort of theme or angle they are shooting for with their beers. This place has Zero theme and if they do it's way too subtle. read more
