We stopped here from out of town (Tulsa, Oklahoma) and it was amazing. The service was good on Black Friday. The Salsas that we chose on the trio were fantastic. I ordered the grilled chicken tacos with black beans and lime rice. That was amazing! My husband ordered a green chili stew with a lacart fried chicken taco and beams with bacon (they had a name but I can't remember it). The building was nice. The bathrooms were clean and it was close to all the nearby shopping. We did not have anything from the bar but heard several compliments on the bar. read more

I expected better from this place because so many people were hyped about it. We waited for a half hour for a table, and even then the service was really slow. The waiter seemed exhausted and the restaurant seemed understaffed. The waiter informed us that there were six different salsas available, but that it was $3 to try them. The food was good but I'm never a fan of fried flour tortilla chips. Margarita was good and it's probably not their fault but they added an additional alcohol tax which made the drink quite pricey. Server was great but took a while to get our food. read more

We had to wait about 20 minutes but now that I know they use Yelp, that's a game changer! You can be on the waitlist before you leave the house. We ordered the Queso. It was really good. You do have to buy the salsa (made fresh) and chips. They are not free. I ordered an Easy Tiger fish taco (À la carte) and a fried chicken taco (À la carte). Brace yourself, they are not big tacos. The fish taco was my favorite and you could taste the fresh made sauce on it. It was delightful. The fried chicken taco was good but not nearly as tasty as the fish taco. My husband ordered the shrimp taco and the ribeye taco. He said they were just okay. I had the house fruit punch. It was very good. We also ordered the key lime cheesecake pie. It was good not great. I came here bc I heard it was delicious. The service was great and the atmosphere is laid back but the food wasn't what I expected. Tacos are delicious bc they're simple and made with simple ingredients. I had the ribeye Tacos and only ate half of one. Just because you can put anything on a taco doesn't me you should. First time at this upbeat, modern/eclectic Mexican, with a sports bar feel. Big tables, busy but still seated right away on a Sunday lunch time crowd. They gave 6 versions of salsa and they have a pick 3 option (recommend)! Not your typical salsas. The guacamole was also delicious. The salsa is not free, but you pick 3 for $3.95. The menu options are reasonably priced. I didn't have the signature drink but people we were with said the margarita was fantastic. They had several frozen option in machines. I had the Crispy ahi tuna tacos, great flavor, but could've had more ahi for 5 stars. My husband had the easy tiger fish tacos and said they were great. The lime rice was warm, moist and yummy. I tried my friends slaw... a little bland. I ordered the spicy house pickled Veges side, great tart and yet spicy flavor. Too many onions bulbs, needed more cauliflower or something for variety. My boyfriend and I got the salsa trio w/ the regular tomato, mango, and verde salsas. All 3 were delicious but our favorite was the tomatillo verde!! Guacamole was also delicious. We both got the salmon platter, and it was literally the best salmon I've ever had in a restaurant!! The cilantro lime rice was very tasty, and the black beans were very nicely seasoned. Chips were hot and fresh and I love that they use a designated fryer for them, as I have a severe gluten allergy. Will definitely be coming back here!! Waiter was kind and the service was good. I can't say I was very impressed with Local Lime. We attempted to go on a weekend once and there was a 40 minute wait for a table. Last night, we went relatively late on a Tuesday. Even though they weren't very busy, our service was still very slow. Not like the server had too many tables but more like "I'll give you a few minutes to look at the menu" and then disappears off the floor for ten minutes, nowhere in sight. She was very friendly but we were a little put off by her excessively long fingernails. Definitely not very sanitary for someone handling food. The cheese dip was excellent, but the drink menu left something to be desired. It is heavily tequila based and there are only a handful of options outside of tequila drinks. My boyfriend had the Dickson chicken enchiladas. They were good, better than a cheap Mexican restaurant but what I would expect from a more upscale place like this. The cilantro lime rice was also pretty good. My big complaint is with the veggie fajitas I ordered. I've attached pictures of what the menu says the fajitas come with and what I received. There's no mention of corn on the menu, but my fajitas had so much corn on them that I couldn't see any other ingredients until I mixed everything up. They were supposed to come with radishes, and I had exactly one piece of radish in the entire dish. The menu also says that the fajitas come topped with Jack cheese and cilantro, which mine did not come with. The flour tortillas were really good but I was, overall, disappointed because I'm just not a big fan of corn and would've asked for the dish with no corn had it actually been on the menu that it would come with corn. There was at least one entire corn cob worth of sweet corn on my dish. My other big disappointment is that I attempted to order the fajitas with no oil. I hate to get a plate of veggies that's swimming in grease. I order them this way at every restaurant I get fajitas at. Most places will comply or will agree to use as little oil as possible to get the veggies cooked. The server did tell me they couldn't make them without oil so I asked to make sure they use very little, but I still ended up with a pretty greasy plate of veggies. I really like Big Orange and Lost 40, so I'm a little disappointed this place didn't live up to the hype. We will probably give it a second chance at some point. As a side note, this is not the type of place where they come out with chips and salsa. Nothing is complimentary and you'll have to order chips and salsa if that's your thing. Also, the fajitas came with fajita toppings (guac, sour cream, pico) but no rice, beans, or side dishes like most places do, so be aware of that. All that gets 5 Stars. 1 HUGE problem for me that makes no sense, having worked in the restaurant game for many years in NWA....NO RESERVATIONS. A big miss, and likely would allow you to be more efficient in all areas... prep, staffing, and above all CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. No need to manufacture "hype" and a "wait" by not taking reservations. Get with 2019, let people make reservations. You would make more money. Instead I'm taking my group of 10 expense card carrying, booze drinking sales folks somewhere else. read more

My husband and I had a quick getaway to Springdale for the Hogeye Half Marathon and wanted a good Mexican restaurant after the race to relax. We searched and Local Lime had great reviews and the food look amazing so we decided to try it! We were not disappointed! We arrived around 4pm and was told it would be approximately a 30 min wait. After a few minutes seats at the bar opened up and we decided to sit there. The bartender was very attentive and made excellent drinks! I had the Texas Two-Step margarita on the rocks and my husband had the Mezcal Old Fashioned, both were perfect! We tried the sampler of salsas and again, was not disappointed! (I can't remember the names of them!). The queso was also very good! For the main meal I had the ribeye tacos and my husband had the cheese enchiladas; both were amazing! Not a huge fan of how much they push their chips on you, you never have enough room to eat your meal once the main course arrives! However, great atmosphere with a very diverse staff. The best part about this whole place are the ergonomically friendly toilet seats. Never have I felt so secure when doing my business!
