***Good Food Except the Frankensteaks*** My wife and I have been to Firebirds twice, once on a Thursday night and the second a Saturday night. Based on the experience of our first visit we're happy to try Firebirds again. For our first visit, we each started with their BLT salad, which we think is very good. The dressing is light and flavorful, not heavy and doesn't imply being bottled. My wife had the Shrimp and Grits and I the Firebirds Roasted Chicken. We each felt our entrees were very good with a simple honesty of quality that we seek. Because our experience was very positive we booked a reservation for a Saturday night (8pm). We each ordered the BLT salads again, we were offered bread which is nice. Of course, like the first time, the salads were good. My wife ordered the 12oz ribeye with mashed potatoes and I ordered the 16oz ribeye with the southwest au gratin potatoes (premium). I also added a shrimp skewer (8). I'll get this out of the way, I love their au gratin potatoes, the top has a nice crusted layer, the shrimp are fire grilled and taste nice. The fact that on the skewer that you get 8 instead of 6 is notable. Unfortunately our steaks were, I can't even say underwhelming, atrocious and in some places inedible. Clearly the steaks were glued cuts that in places just couldn't be navigated even with a sharp steak knife. It's not an exaggeration that we're very familiar with steakhouses and we really don't expect "steakhouse quality" from Firebirds...but let's be clear. Firebirds leads the entree menu with steaks. Steaks make up 1/3 the entree menu, so if that what your leading with your setting a certain expectation regarding its quality. Neither my wife nor I could actually tell we received ribeyes. I likened mine to a very tough NY Strip and I think that may be a generous characterization. A third of the steak I couldn't use the steak knife to cut strands of...whatever, and the really was just simply wasted. Again, I don't have the expectation of them delivering the quality of a $80 ribeye... I get that all the time. I do expect Firebirds to deliver a $45 ribeye and I'm very convinced that didn't happen. It was a shame to see that Firebirds failed in the honestly of their leading entrees. As in the first time, we ordered the lemon Cake...no blueberry. Excellent, lemon purity and approaches a freshness rarely found. Firebirds has a very diverse menu, that's a good thing for them. That's the reason I'll go back...maybe just not as often. They need to fix the lack of clarity, honesty and value in their steak options. Currently, I simply cannot recommend the steaks. We had drinks, including a generous tip my bill was close to $300. That dinner experience is common for us. That won't happen again at Firebirds, which is ok. I'll get the chicken, burger or whatever but until they figure out how to position a steak with the proper quality and pricing I won't be ordering that anytime soon. Service has been good, with a longer wait ordering drinks, at the table. I waited 20min for a G&T. read more

My friend and I came for dinner. I made a reservation but I think we came early enough to beat the dinner crowd. But I probably would have made a reservation if we had more people. Our server was so sweet and kind. My friend and I both ordered a speciality cocktail. I ended up ordering the steak penne and my friend ordered a different pasta dish. The serving was generous and tasty! I definitely can see how this will be a popular place. The vibes were good. It felt elevated but not too crazy. First time at Firebirds and won't be the last. We really enjoyed the entire experience here. The ambiance is cool and lively, the decor is elevated but not stuffy. Our server was cracking us up-- he was personable, casual, knowledgeable. Totally recommend the chimichurri shrimp to start with. An amazing combo of flavors there! Unique. I had the steak penne which was nice and filling, my sister had the filet and shrimp, and my other friend had the ahi tuna salad. What happened???? Mother's Day is a very sad day to be off your game. We chose this restaurant and made reservations a month ago because of prior wonderful experiences...today it was like a different restaurant... Our usual BLT salad was very lackluster and didn't even resemble the usual BLT salad... our loaded baked potato wasn't warm enough to even melt the butter or the cheese...the prime rib was OK but nothing special. Our waitress was very sweet and very apologetic due to the long wait time between salads and entrées. I truly hope this isn't the new norm. read more

We just left Firebirds after we were served raw BBQ baby back ribs. We had been to the restaurant a couple of times and noted inconsistencies but nothing that would compare to being served raw meat.. The Manager came over and was apologetic and we said we were just going to pay for our Fountain drinks and wanted to leave. She comped the drinks, offered apologies and said she hoped would come back. If she wanted us to revisit the restaurant a good will gesture of some kind would have been appropriate and maybe minimized Some of the damage. Horrible experience. read more

Parts of our meal were fantastic! Lobster tail was amazing! However, the filet and one of our chicken breasts were dry. Ribs were juicy and fall off the bone. Burger also had great flavor. I have visited this restaurant approximately 6-8 times since it opened. In the beginning, we truly enjoyed it. It felt less formal than Ruth's Chris and served as a great alternative after Crabby's closed -- a comfortable, in-between option that was casual yet nice. The owner/manager would often come by the table to check on guests, which created a welcoming atmosphere. Because of those early experiences, we recommended the restaurant to family, friends, and coworkers. After living here for over 20 years, we understand how important it is to support new local businesses so they can succeed. Unfortunately, our most recent visit on Sunday, 2/22 at approximately 5:30 p.m., was extremely disappointing. The restaurant was fairly empty, and there was plenty of parking available. When we approached the hostess stand, we were not greeted. The hostess did not make eye contact and informed us that seating was available "only at the bar." Due to a disability, I requested a standard-height table. I was told that "everything was reserved." No alternative was offered, nor were we given the option to wait for a suitable table. Throughout the interaction, the hostess never looked up from her notes. The experience felt dismissive and unwelcoming. We understand that new restaurants are still training staff, which is why we continued to return despite previous service being below average. However, being ignored at the door is not something customers forget. The hostess station is the first impression of any establishment, and hospitality begins there. It is disappointing because we genuinely wanted to continue supporting this business. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and focuses on improving front-of-house hospitality. The community deserves a welcoming dining experience. Please do a better job, NWA deserves better. read more

Wow, what an experience! We met friends for dinner on a Saturday night. We sat in the bar area, which had great aesthetic vibes and ambience. India was our waitress and she did an exceptional job with a consummate dazzling smile. I found my new favorite steakhouse! I had the garlic thyme filet, which was delicious and cooked perfectly and priced less than any other steakhouse in the area (and included two sides). Three of us had steak and my hubs had the seafood pasta with shrimp, which was also delicious. They also had a nice martini without the sticker shock of others in NWA. Having lived in Charlotte and Firebirds there being one of my favorites, I was excited to try the Firebirds in Rogers. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with everything about the visit. The overall smell of the restaurant was not appetizing. Had I not been hosting two other couples I would have walked out at that point. We proceeded to on to relatively poor service and slow arriving food. The steaks were not very tender and the "wood burning" flavor a bit overwhelming. Salads were not offered prior to entrees and were just clutter at that point. We assumed they would come prior. Chicken sandwich was good. Burger was almost raw, but didn't send it back as that seemed hopeless at the moment. Chicken sandwich, deviled eggs and tuna appetizers were well enjoyed. With all the options we have in NWA I'll not trouble these folks again with my presence. read more

I went because of their advertisement of two pairs for $100 in service within an hour. When I came in, I was immediately greeted and shown a selection of what was available. My exam happened a few minutes after that then the girl that fitted me for my glasses was fairly patient but when she had me put the frames on, she said, put them like you normally wear them and then she jammed them with her finger up against the bridge of my nose, where I normally don't wear my glasses. Then she took her measurements. After waiting maybe an hour and a half they were finally ready and I accepted them paid and left, but now I have to tilt my head, weighed back and look down my nose to read anything because the line of the bifocal is too low on a count of her, pushing them right up against my face when she measured. That is why only three stars. read more

Steaks were a generous portion but lacked seasoning. Potatoes and seasonal vegetables were generous portions as well and met expectations. Salmon/shrimp entree was decent although the sauce was very salty and I scraped it off the salmon in order to eat it. The shrimp were very tasty. The sides, ancient rice and broccoli were quite nice. We waited approximately 20 minutes for desserts to arrive. Desserts ordered were the crème brûlée cheesecake and all gave it a thumbs up. The chocolate brownie was decadent and ample. This restaurant is good, and will work out the timing. It was obvious the floor staff was working hard. I think the kitchen just needs additional grace until the kinks are worked out. Service was good, unfortunately no local beers on tap (out of town guests were looking for the local flavors, none) Appetizers of lobster cheese dip and a grilled chimmichuri shrimp very good. So I ordered the shrimp and cheese grits thinking I'd receive the same grilled shrimp. NOPE! This dish was awful!!! Grits were soupy with very little cheese flavor, the shrimp were not wood grilled as expected 2-3 slices of andouille sausage. You should remove this from your menu. What you did to a "southern classic" dish was deplorable. No flavor, bland and honestly gross. I didn't even finish the meal. If you go, stick with the items that are labeled wood grilled otherwise skip this restaurant. I would have said something to the manager but didn't want to embarrass the team I was with. read more

I have looked forward to trying this new spot. You enter into a large bar area with the dinning back behind it. We were here around 6 on a Thursday and the place was filling up already. I ordered a Manhattan which was very good. I started with a Caesar salad which I would call a soaked Caesar. I have never had a Caesar that was literally dripping with dressing. While the dressing was very good, it was just way to much. I then ordered the small filet with sautéed mushrooms. The mushrooms were excellent but the steak not so much. While it was cooked perfectly, the steak was dry, no marbling at all, no seasoning and boring. I didn't even finish it. My wife had the ribeye and it was tough and lacking flavor. She didn't finish hers either. We then had the lemon cake which was the best part of the dinner. While they call themselves an upscale steakhouse, I would rate them slightly higher than a Longhorn Steakhouse. It was on the pricier side. The place was packed by the time we left. Service was ok. Honestly I can hardly believe the experience I just had at this restaurant. I walked in with my mom and daughter. The hostess first asked if we had a reservation which seemed very strange for 1215. When I said we did not have a reservation the hostess looked distressed and said that the servers each had 4 tables and were completely overwhelmed and that the restaurant couldn't accommodate us. As someone who has worked in the service industry I have a lot of compassion/ patience/ understanding for those who do but I cannot wrap my brain around this interaction. I'm not sure if it's the servers who work here or the people who are running this location but there's a huge problem going on when customers are turned away because the servers each have 4 tables. read more

The appetizer took longer than expected to come out. We had the lobster dip with chips it was OK not bad. For our meal, we had shrimp and grits and Seabass.. The Seabass Meal was very flavorful and a lovely presentation. The shrimp and grits were missing the andouille sausage which changed the flavor of the whole meal and look nothing like the picture. A scratch kitchen and wood fire grill made this venue a 10 out of 10. We started at the bar, where Sara greeted us with a smile and fabulous customer service. The pineapple black diamond martini was out of this world. After seated for dinner, our lovely server, Ashlyn treated us like royalty. Her beautiful demeanor and outstanding customer service skills were the best we have experienced here in NWA. The most rewarding experience of the evening, was our conversation with the manager, Deb. We as a party of 6 visited Firebird's Wood Fired Grill, a recently opened restaurant in Rogers, and had an excellent experience. We made a reservation several weeks ahead and were seated almost on time. Our server, Deven, did an excellent job caring for our every need and offered suggestions. Wait time for our food was a little slow but not terrible. Management was visible and filled in where they were needed. It was a very enjoyable evening. Our first Firebirds experience was a hit. The atmosphere is beautiful and comfortable but not formal or stuffy. Our server Sam was amazing, she was very attentive and engaging. The food... OMG the food was sooo good. We got a free mini loaf of bread and butter, yum. We each had a cup of Chicken Tortilla Soup that was creamy and flavorful. I had a half rack of Baby Back Ribs with a side of broccoli and a premium side of au gratin potatoes. Everything was perfect. The ribs were so tender and the sauce forced me to breach etiquette and lick my fingers! I kind of regretted not getting the full rack but it would have been a lot of food. My spouse had the Roasted Garlic Sirloin and it was extremely tender almost like a filet mignon, and topped a garlic thyme butter. It was a great experience and we can't wait to go back! read more

Restaurant in Rogers really needs help. Terrible food and service was even worse, and that's an understatement. Tonight was particularly interesting in every way. No water refills. Waiting 30 minutes for a glass of wine while the bartender did nothing and there were only 2 other tables there. We basically didn't have a waitress so we couldn't tell her that our basic $25 pasta dish was completely cold. We were nice and didn't mention that it also lacked any flavor at all. What was it seasoned with? Cayenne is that what makes it spicy? No depth and no flavor. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls were hilarious. The outside of the roll was there but no filling at all. I should have taken a picture. My dish was chewy overcooked chicken with no seasoning. The bread could not be worse. It felt like the twilight zone in there. My favorite part really was trying to check out where they took 30 minutes to come get the card and then another 30 minutes to bring it back to me. Waste of time, waste of money, waste of energy and I won't be back. And I feel sick now. read more

We had trouble finding the restaurant. It is not where the map says it is. The Restaurant is lovely both inside and out. It is warm and inviting. All the staff were friendly, especially the manager, Debra. They made you feel like family. My wife ordered the Durango Burger medium rare, and it came just as she ordered it. She said it was one of the best burgers that she has had lately. I ordered the Ribeye steak sandwich. Flavor was great, but it was VERY tough. I would not order it again.
