We had a table of 6 at lunch time before a graduation celebration at UofA. What a huge disappointment! The service started off fine, although the upstairs "patio" is way too hot even though it was only 80 degrees outside. The metal roof "loovers" seem to radiate heat. The wait for appetizers was short, but beverage service lagged well behind appetizers. We ordered our entrees and sides...and then WAITED. From the time we sat down till entrees came out, it was 1.25 hrs!! The restaurant was not busy. Then when we cut into our 6 steaks (not at the server's request, which is often customary at steak houses where we come from (Dallas) 5 of the 6 of our steaks were prepared incorrectly. All were over cooked - whether ordered medium rare or medium rare- all were done well past the requested level. Our waitress promptly and rightfully suggested we send them back. Which we did. Two minutes later, an obviously inexperienced manager shows up and rudely tells us it's "the lighting due to dining outside" that makes us THINK our steaks are overcooked. "Things can look more gray in natural light", he said. Really!?!? We said "excuse us...but no. These were prepared incorrectly." So he VERY reluctantly ordered 5 fresh steaks When those 5 came out, two that were ordered medium were very rare. And had to be returned AGAIN! My wife and I needed some away time as a couple and decided to stay in Northwest Arkansas, specifically Bentonville, for the Valentines weekend. We decided to return to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse for Valentines supper. We dined at Ruth's before for Valentines, but at their original location. Apparently, they had moved to their new location since our last experience. I can't say the new location is an improvement. The original location was a dedicated building with easy parking, and elegant atmosphere with a relaxed vibe, and the tables were bigger and less crowded. The new version is a structure that is part of a complex of buildings with parking that seems shared with other businesses. There is also valet parking, which seems unnecessary, that reserves some of the best parking spots. When you enter the restaurant, there is a smallish foyer with the check in desk where you stand with a large group of others waiting to be seated, even with reservations. Now granted, this was a busy Valentines evening, but you felt like you were getting ready to board a flight instead of waiting to dine at a fancy restaurant. In the old location, when being seated, you entered a large dining room and were seated at a spacious table or booth. In the new location, there is upstairs and downstairs dining areas. It's a huge building with multiple dining rooms that we had to wind our way through, following our seater, and there really wasn't a walkway through each room, just winding through closely spaced tables. We finally reached our table and things got better. Our server was friendly and nice, but he stated being new and I don't think he was ready to serve people on a busy Valentines evening, but he did his best. We had to kindly ask for the bread and butter and also for the rose petals that everyone else had scattered on their tables, but otherwise, he did okay. Now, for the meal. New or old location, the food is beyond reproach in its preparation and quality. Both of our entrees were delicious and well prepared and served hot. We started with the chilled shrimp cocktail, which is served with a cocktail sauce and a remoulade sauce, and you get four large shrimp. The cocktail was tasty, but $20+ for four shrimp was a little much. My wife ordered the Norwegian Salmon for her entree and I ordered the 8 ounce Petite Filet with Shrimp. Both proteins were excellent and perfectly cooked. My steak was a perfect medium rare and almost fork tender. The sides are served family style and are enough for two to share. We had the Fire-roasted Corn, the Cremini Mushrooms and the Grilled Asparagus. All the sides were tasty and well prepared. They have a good wine selection, by the glass or bottle. We opted for the Mer Soleil Chardonnay bottle at $50. This is one of the least expensive bottles, but delicious nonetheless. It was a crisp, dry Chardonnay with a mild sweetness and paired well with the steak and salmon, in our opinion. Ruth's is not a cheap place to dine, and you should be aware of that going in. Our total bill was around $250 + gratuity. At that price point, you expect others to dress accordingly, and, for the most part, they did. But, unfortunately, there were some that thought they were at Texas Roadhouse, especially the guy with the gray pullover hoodie. Overall, the food is five stars, but I had to give this new Ruth's three stars due to the less than relaxing building and parking and an overly crowded dining experience. Not sure we'll be back. Atlas the Restaurant in the Fayetteville area is better for relaxed elegant dining. read more

We decided to go out for a nice dinner with my 85-year-old mother and chose Ruth's Chris, but we were extremely disappointed. We hadn't been in years, but after this experience have no desire to go back. Too many other steak places to choose from! We had so many things go wrong here that I wrote a detailed account to the management, but never received a reply. We were the very first ones in the room and were quickly greeted. My husband and I ordered a cocktail, but decided against an app since we were having such a big meal. My husband ordered the lamb and I ordered a ribeye along with creamed spinach & asparagus. My mom just wanted a couple of bites of my ribeye. We also ordered a bottle of wine with dinner. Our waiter brought out a newer bottle of wine than the one we ordered. Thankfully, my husband noticed. When we asked the adjusted price, they told us it was the same as the older bottle. That's not ok esp since we brought it to his attention & they were ok selling a newer bottle at the same price the older one. We ordered a different bottle and our waiter was gone a very long time. In fact, our food was brought out while we waited on his return. We were almost finished with our meal when him and another lady return with a completely different bottle of wine from a different country because they did not have our requested wine once again. She asked if the bottle would be OK but considering we have it in our collection and know it's less than a $15 bottle of wine that they were charging $80 for AND more importantly we were almost finished with our meal, we declined. She acted super irritated and asked if we would like just a glass, but we also declined. She left irritated. We really enjoy wine with our steak, but not this night. During this time, my husband steak was overcooked, but the waiter was more concerned with finding our wine, then checking on the quality of our meal. We sat around for what seemed like a very long time waiting on our waiter to bring us a check, but it took a very long while. He was checking on other tables in the room and in fact, two other tables had their food packed up & left while we waited. While we just sat there and waited for our bill, we saw two different managers, walk into our room and check on other tables. They brought free dessert to other tables due to an anniversary and a birthday, but completely ignored us even though they should have known we had wine issues at a minimum. Of course, no one knew about the overcooked lamb because they never asked us, the waiter wasn't available to us and we were just ready to leave! He finally came over and brought us our bill. We checked it and while it was correct there was no discount applied due to poor service & the wine debacle. As I handed him our credit card I told him I thought at a minimum he would offer us free dessert. He told me, well I could do that! My thoughts were well then why didn't you? So we took home their peanut butter "pie" & it was so tiny! They typically charge $14 for what I'd call a bonbon. NWA is supposed to have the largest Ruth's Chris in the nation so we are excited to have dinner here but sadly, we will not only not be back to this location but to any other. We felt unimportant & ignored. They completely failed us. read more

I would give 6 stars if I could. Absolutely top notch service from Chris for our recent lunch here. The new building is beautiful, and we loved our table overlooking the lower level and a view out the front glass doors/windows. We don't live in the area, but we have eaten at many Ruth's Chris Steak Houses throughout the US. We love it. This was one of the best experiences we have had. The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It absolutely melted in your mouth. We tried a couple of new things as well. I tried the stuffed chicken, which was delicious! The loaded hash browns and sweet potato casserole were both very good as well. The peanut butter pie was a nice ending to our perfect meal. read more

Had a great time! This was my first experience at this newer location and it really was top notch. DJ TyWalker helped cultivate the atmosphere, spinning tunes for a great Sunday brunch vibe (I believe he DJs there every Sunday 12-3 currently). The songs he picked out were the perfect balance of fun but laid back. Our server Neal took great care of us and everyone got what they needed. I enjoyed the hibiscus margarita to drink and the Prime Smash Burger was fantastic. I love a burger with egg and I thought they really nailed this one. We had a really solid dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House. Started with a few appetizers--ravioli, calamari, shrimp cocktail, and crab cakes. Everything was good, but the crab cakes were the clear favorite at the table. Everyone ordered their own steak and they came out exactly how we asked, hot and well-cooked. I cannot overstate how appalled I am by my experience at Ruth's Chris Rogers, AR. As a loyal patron who has spent well over a thousand dollars there this year, I expected professionalism, courtesy, and basic respect. Instead, I was met with rudeness, incompetence, and outright humiliation. Part of my group was delayed in traffic, but we were still seated for our reservation. Within minutes, our server slammed water and bread on the table with an attitude, only to inform us shortly after that we needed to leave because another party was coming. Before we even received our checks, the hostess arrived with the next party and demanded that we get up--while numerous tables inside and on the patio sat empty. Not once were we offered to be reseated. The manager (Katie or Kaitlin*) was extremely dismissive, made excuses, and never once apologized or tried to resolve the situation. To make matters worse, I had to chase down our server, who walked around with my credit card for over 10 minutes while we had already been removed from our table and left standing in the middle of the restaurant with nowhere to go. This was supposed to be a joyful celebration for my friend's birthday and career milestone. Instead, it became one of the most embarrassing and disheartening dining experiences I've ever had fueled by incompetency. The lack of accountability and blatant disregard for guests was beyond unacceptable. Ruth's Chris should be ashamed to let this kind of service represent their brand. Will never return and will be sure to share my experience with others. read more

I came here last night January 20th, 2025, I made reservations a few weeks ago for my dads birthday and 6:00pm, we arrived right on time. We were greeted by the hostess who checked us in and advised us is it would be a second before they got us seated. We got seated and they gave us an iPad with their wine selections and cocktails I thought that was pretty cool. They decorated our table with some cute birthday decor which I thought was very thoughtful and definitely made a memorable moment for us. Our servers name was Alex, he asked us what kind of water wanted and we ordered bottled, we also ordered some wine and the sizzling crab cakes to start, they were outstanding, we each ordered different entrees and sides, the food was amazing as always, the ambiance was great, and where they sat us was nice, right next to the fireplace, they gave my dad a birthday cake which was super special. Ruth's Chris is a Gamble Visiting Ruth's Chris is a gamble with your experience. The question is, for a place which commands higher prices, is the juice worth the squeeze at Ruth's Chris. I'll leave that up to your experience(s), but this venue is here to share mine. Reservations set for Saturday 8pm. Arrived at 7:50pm, tipped valet $100 to park the car. We approached the main greeter, let her know we were there. My reservation was for a booth in the bar (see image). This is our fourth time at the new Ruth's Chris location; and we decided to experience a night with the bar menu instead of the full dining menu. The greeter told me that the wait shouldn't be long and I inquired as to what seating she had our reservation for. Her response was that they generally seat at "high tops" in the bar area. For medical reason for which I won't state, I indicated to her we requested a booth. After about 20min waiting, she said our table was ready upstairs, that we should take the elevator to the second floor and a greeter would show us to our table. We've been upstairs before on previous visits, I was apprehensive, but followed her directions. Upon arriving upstairs, and waiting about a minute, I had to interrupt the two greeters who were engrossed in their mobile devices to gain their attention. We were seated at a dining room table in an obscure area of the main floor. We were presented with full menus, no bar menus. I explained to the waiter our reservation and he apologized on behalf of Ruth's Chris and Open Table. Let me be clear...the waiter did a wonderful job for the entire experience, perhaps with the exception of longer than usual drink wait times. I'm just not sure the wait times were his issue or the bartenders. He provided us bar menus. For starters my wife ordered the French Onion Soup, I ordered a Crab and Corn soup and the BBQ shrimp. The soups were average and the BBQ shrimp is always excellent, recommended! We shortly became very cold, we were seated next to what I think were doors to an outside area. The night was 20 degrees and windy, so we literally ate the rest of the meal in our coats. If I want that experience, I'd go to a fast food restaurant. For entrees my wife ordered a dinner sized salad and I ordered the burger and Lobster Mac n Cheese. Shortly after ordering, the waiter informed us that the kitchen 86'd the Lobster Mac n Cheese. Yea, truth is you ran out on the pre-prepared ingredients and didn't care about your customers ordering the item. The waiter asked if I wanted another side, and while shivering, being 12" away from the door/window...I indicated "no". My wife indicated her salad was good, however my burger not so much. The bottom of the bun was either too toasted or stale because the bread literally cracked apart when handled. The entire bottom bun was in pieces on my plate, and I resorted to using the bottom of the patty to hold the hamburger...something that won't happen at a fast food restaurant. As I mentioned this was the fourth time at this new location. Two of the times met reasonable expectations and two of the times standard reasonable expectations were violated. I'm not going back to Ruth's Chris because a 50% success rate just doesn't cut it. When Ruth's Chris asks me to "type 1 to confirm my reservation" I did and did my part. But the arrogance for them to request my commitment to show up yet not deliver on theirs is inexcusable. I lived in Chicago for 55 years, travelled for business for 20 years, been in many of the best steakhouses in the US, including many Ruth's Chris locations...Rogers location is woefully inadequate regarding reasonable standards. I don't have high expectations. I have reasonable expectations based on experience. We ended up tipping our waiter about 40% and I flipped the valet another $100 to retrieve the car...share the spirit of Christmas! read more

Finally went to Ruth Chris for the first time in my life yesterday. It was founded in New Orleans, so I already had a positive bias toward the evening. Service was exceptional and educated. Wine selection was outstanding and not too overpriced. The steak is truly what this restaurant is about. The filet mignon was exquisite. And the garlic mashed potatoes were perfect. We also loved the voodoo lobster appetizer. Didn't save room for dessert, but our server included a take home chocolate cake for us to enjoy, along with our leftovers potatoes and bottle of wine. I had the 16 oz Ribeye and loaded baked potato. Ribeye was cooked perfectly. I will say it was slightly too salty, but again perfectly cooked. The baked potato was under cooked. The ambiance of this place is where it's at. The only other thing I would critique would be the close proximity of the tables. New location has lots of issues. First, there is limited parking compared to old location. It's is VERY loud compared to old location. The Atmosphere is much brighter and less romantic compared to the old location. It feels more like an Applebees than a good steak house now. Service was friendly but less attentive than it was previously. A waitress dropped a salad on the floor and it was left there for 10-15m. The food was still good, but it's no longer worth the premium price due to significant drop in service and atmosphere. I guess all of this makes sense since they were bought by Olive Garden in 2023. read more
