There is a single unisex restroom down the long hallway to the right of the pickup counter. The bathroom is clean and spacious. I ordered the spicy extra combo chicken sandwich $15.00. Comes with a sandwich, can of soda and small coleslaw. The spicy chicken sandwich from Proposition Chicken is really good nice thick sandwich with a good amount of heat. The sandwich is THICK....had to unhinge my jaw. I just love the relish that went really well with the heat. My wife got the Tam Tam Rice's the Rich Pork Belly Tam with broken rice $16.00. The dish had many small side dishes. Tomato basil salad, pickled cabbage, Do Chua, and egg omelet. The rice is good. Even on a weekday afternoon, they're busy! I got a geisha's kiss from the sushiritto menu and a strawberry tea with boba from the boba guys menu. What I love about Local Kitchens is the variety of food you can order from local restaurants! I love the idea of being able to mix and match your eats through Local Kitchens. From a burrito to pizza to a sushi burrito... your senses will be doing the most happiest dance from the bursts of flavors, textures and delicious aroma of the eats. I appreciate the concept of Local Kitchens-- providing a space for small/local businesses to work together while supporting one another. I ordered via their local kitchens app (the day before!!) and it was such a smooth, easy process! It's amazing how you can place an order in advance and still get your food right on time! *clapping emoji* because that is 5/5 stars for customer service. No but really, customer service went beyond expectations. We were greeted by Evan who was kind and patient with my huge order and made sure everything looked/ tasted good. They are celebrating their grand re-opening (July 2024)! The space was open and bright, clean with just the right amount of decorations; which were simple posters of the businesses. What a great concept, our favorite restaurants under one roof, and the menu options rotate periodically. They send surveys out to see what customers want. They also email coupon codes to try out new items. There needs to be legit dim sum on this side of town. For now, no complaints about boba, ice cream, Senor Sisig, The Melt, sushirrito (sushi burrito), Square Pie Guys, etc. Hopefully, there will be more diversity amongst the food options in the near future. My fiancé and I were in Millvalley and decided to check out local kitchens for their variety of food! We actually placed our order a day in advance for a time for pick up today and dined inside there restaurant. For our food, we ordered the sushiritto, pepperoni pizaza, amba chicken rice plate with pita bread, grilled mortadella sandwich, grilled chicken burrito and a strawberry matcha drink from boba guys. All the food was amazing! Each order was packed with a ton of flavor and was all cooked perfectly. My personal favorite was the chicken burrito because the tortilla was soft and contents meshed so well together. The strawberry matcha latte was the perfect dessert drink after our meal. You honestly can't go wrong with whatever food option you choose from, whether you're craving sushi or a pizza- you won't be disappointed. I like to think of local kitchens of a restaurant who does it all! We were greeted and served by Evan, who was super friendly and had exceptional customer service. The restaurant was nice and clean and they played light music for entertainment. There was plenty of parking including some 15 to 30 minute parking for a quick pick up. I was looking for a place with vegan options in Mill Valley where I was meeting a friend before a hike. We both ended up getting the Green Falafel Hummus Plate. It was really good! Meals are labeled V or VG but I didn't know which one stood for Vegan vs Vegetarian. Why is this always so complicated? Can I get an AMEN? You choose your order on a screen. There was a guy there at the counter and I asked him if V or VG meant vegan, and he didn't know: "oh V is probably vegan." My darling non-vegan friend who is more assertive than me said "well we NEED to know. Can you go ask someone?" He said that the manager wasn't there and that was about as much as he could be bothered. So, I chose the dish I chose because it's both V and VG. I considered rating it less stars, but the food was really good, and I didn't want to dock it because they hired a doofus. But pssst, Local Kitchens, do a little education to your staff on what's up. Local Kitchens in Mill Valley is now open in the Alto Shopping Center, next door to the UPS Store. The Alto Center is the shopping center with the Whole Foods Market and the Post Office. Local Kitchens @ Mill Valley is the first Local Kitchens in Marin County. It currently offers 8 menus. It's a variety of foods such as- burgers, sandwiches, sushi burritos, salads, fried chicken, pizza, pasta, ice cream and drinks. I have reviewed all the Local Kitchens in the SF Bay Area, and their menu can change at anytime. Local Kitchens @ Mill Valley is somewhat small. It has a small indoor dining area, some tables outside, and a restroom. Most orders are pickup or delivery. A status board on the wall can tell you if your food is ready. You can place orders using ordering stations in the lobby, the website, or the Local Kitchens App. When your food is ready, you simply ask the counter person and he/she will give you your order. Napkins, utensils, and sauces are available at the counter. To be clear, this is not a ghost kitchen. It's like a self-service micro food hall. There will be a person at the front counter for customer service. When I was there at around 530pm on a Sunday, there were two people cleaning and wiping down tables. The location is currently open until midnight. So, it's a good location. Lots of free parking, and it's pretty close to the freeway. The key thing to remember is....now you know there's restaurant that's open until 12-midnight, they will cook to order, and you pay electronically. To accompany it, I had a Matcha Latte ($6.10). The restaurant features a unique concept with several dining options under one roof, though the expansive menu can feel a bit overwhelming. While the meal was decent, nothing truly stood out. Having been to their standalone location before, I found the quality there noticeably better. On the bright side, the staff were friendly, and the space was clean. Both are not as good as their SF locations, BUT it's soooooo nice to have access to something like this when you are with a group of people that can't decide what they want. We were doing some work in town and found this spot online, I'm always skeptical of these kind of counter service/multiple menus type situation (LA has some and they are ran terribly). Not the case in this amazing establishment, the manager and all the workers in the kitchen are still very attentive, checking in on how you're doing and available for questions. We had such a good experience we came back for a second day in a row. Beef burrito was awesome, spicy chicken sandwich hit the spot, and the fries were seasoned perfectly. In theory I thought for certain we'd like Local Kitchens as a creative option for food delivery in Mill Valley. In practice it was pretty disappointing. The idea of multiple restaurants under one roof came to life during the the creativity and business realities of the pandemic, and in theory it's a great idea. Different dishes from different excellent spots all prepared under one roof, here called a "mini food hall." We downloaded their proprietary app and were off and running. But then when placing the order it looked like dinner delivery was still 2 hours away -what? That's unusually long. When it arrived, our dinner from Local Kitchens was cold and subpar. I've eaten at Oren's in the city, and the chicken and hummus plate here was a pale comparison. Each dish we ordered averaged $24 a plate, including our grilled cheese sandwich from Melt. Beyond value for the price, it took two hours from order to delivery (on a weekday) so not on par with a Caviar or Uber Eats. This is typically longer than I'm willing to wait. Local Kitchens didn't change the delivery game for us, or provide us with new options to add to our delivery repeats, unfortunately. I really wish that it had. One upside: late night food delivery and pick up is new to the area (up to 12 am.) read more

Ordered here for the first time today, and it won't be the last. Love the concept! There are 9 restaurants to choose from under one roof. We ordered ahead on the website for pick up. I was miffed that a $5 tip was added to my bill. Tips should be voluntary. We got Oren's Hummus and Proposition Chicken. The fried chicken was delicious! The hummus, Israeli salad & pita were terrific. The beef kebab could be more flavorful. The included sauces were spicy and hot, but didn't have enough flavor. Was surprised to find Square Pie Guys on Doordash when we were out here in North Bay, San Rafael. Was super excited because this location is open until midnight. When the food arrived, it was not the same quality as pizzas ordered from their original location in SF. The pizza lacked toppings and the presentation was so messy. The Szechuan wings were unseasoned and I ordered extra cilantro cream sauce and received all ranch dressing. I've ordered from the SQP in SF at least 50 times and never had any mistakes with my orders. Sounds like in this case, I gave up quality for a taste of it here in North Bay. We gave this mill valley location a try, thinking it might be a better experience, and sure the food was better, but it still did not taste like senior sisig. The proportions were off (half the burrito was lettuce) and the sweet potato fries were cold by the time we opened them in the car a minute later. $21 dollars for this meal is just outrageous. I've been to a couple of local kitchens and this is my favorite so far. The food was ready quickly, online ordering is so easy on the app (you can also order on an ordering pad when you get there). The food was very good, I got Oren's and my friend got a grilled chicken proposition chicken salad. We shared fries that were really good. We were both very happy with our food. The interior is clean, which is the case with all local kitchens I've been in. They have a couple tables inside and outside. A huge bonus to local kitchens for being amazing because I actually made my order for a local kitchens in a different city on accident, was able to text customer service (mind you it was past 5pm on a Saturday) and I got a response immediately and the rep cancelled and refunded my order and was friendly. I love that you can order items across different restaurants in there. If you have a group of people who don't all feel like eating the same thing this place is the perfect option since it's a cloud kitchen for a bunch of different restaurants. You can get everything from appetizers to ice cream here. We will be back to this location for sure. Gluten, vegetarian, and vegan options available. read more

Ordered the turkey sandwich from the Turkey and the Wolf menu and sure didn't get anything close to what was pictured! Undoubtedly the worst turkey sandwich I've ever eaten! The turkey was paper thin, very processed, with a pretty wet consistency. Whatever it was, it neither tasted nor looked like what we call turkey, and what was also in the sandwich was also pretty sad. Certainly any restaurant with the name "turkey" in it should be providing the real thing. And, further, knowing this was representing a very well-known, and very reputable New Orleans restaurant was a pretty major disappointment! read more

Actual rating: 4 stars. But I so love this idea, and OPEN UNTIL MIDNIGHT (ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!?), and they just added Senor Sisig? No way I wasn't giving it the full five. So why the 4 actual? Two reasons, both so subjective that there's a good chance you won't care about 'em :) 1) Not all the food is great, and 2) the app won't let you add a custom tip, just a percentage (pet peeve of mine). Oh, and there's no tip jar on the counter. What I've had so far: From The Melt: Meltburger (fantastic), Sicilian Chicken (way too much cheese-to-chicken ratio, would not get again, or maybe would remove one of the cheeses, and yeah, I know the place is called the MELT) From Senor Sisig: Tosilog Burrito (oh, that Filipino sweet pork!) From Oren's Hummus: Pita Falafel (sooo good, and cooked to perfection) From Wise Sons: The Purist (pastrami sandwich... which I now see isn't on the menu anymore..? It was good, but not great, so I won't miss it, but hmm...) From Fiorella: Nonna's Meatballs (these were only so-so, and I wouldn't order them again... but the Mill Valley location looks they dropped Fiorella in its entirety, so clearly the line-up is fluid) Have yet to have anything from the Proposition Chicken menu (next time for sure!) nor Sushiritto (their stuff usually sells out before closing). The Milk Bar cookies et al are kinda too candy-sweet for me, and I get that they only wanna sell the Humphrey Slocombe ice cream in pints (probably kills with delivery orders), but that's okay, as I'm still slightly over-ordering non-dessert stuff anyway to try lots of things. Oh, ha, I've only ever eaten stuff here, at the place. They have a nice handful of tables outside (5-6) and a couple inside (2-3), with a somewhat less-than-ideal counter space, as well. The bathrooms are big and clean, and they have free self-serve water at the counter. And a pretty great rewards program. If one of these opened down in SoCal near my place, I might be in trouble :) read more

I tried Local Kitchens for the 1st time today. Everyone was friendly, and my food came out quickly, but the salad I ordered wasn't exciting at all. The veggies & greens (chopped cucumber and tomato) needed something more acidic and punchier than the parmesan dressing. The chicken on the salad was fine, albeit rather dry and bland. The batter on the chicken seemed unseasoned and begging for some salt, black pepper, garlic powder, spices or anything other than just being...fried? Would love to see some hot sauce packets included with the to-go condiments because this salad needed something to liven it up, badly! Would I try Local Kitchens again? Maybe, but I wonder if the rest of their fare might be just as under-seasoned as this meal. Not sure I wanna spend another $15-20 to find out. read more
