What a great concept, our favorite restaurants under one roof, and the menu options rotate periodically. They send surveys out to see what customers want. They also email coupon codes to try out new items. There needs to be legit dim sum on this side of town. For now, no complaints about boba, ice cream, Senor Sisig, The Melt, sushirrito (sushi burrito), Square Pie Guys, etc. Hopefully, there will be more diversity amongst the food options in the near future. Burmese and Korean BBQ would be nice on this side of the bridge. 'Til next time ~ cheers and see you on Yelp (SYOY)!

Best matcha strawberry boba I've ever had ! There's something for the whole family .

My fiancé and I were in Millvalley and decided to check out local kitchens for their variety of food! We actually placed our order a day in advance for a time for pick up today and dined inside there restaurant. For our food, we ordered the sushiritto, pepperoni pizaza, amba chicken rice plate with pita bread, grilled mortadella sandwich, grilled chicken burrito and a strawberry matcha drink from boba guys. All the food was amazing! Each order was packed with a ton of flavor and was all cooked perfectly. My personal favorite was the chicken burrito because the tortilla was soft and contents meshed so well together. The strawberry matcha latte was the perfect dessert drink after our meal. You honestly can't go wrong with whatever food option you choose from, whether you're craving sushi or a pizza- you won't be disappointed. I like to think of local kitchens of a restaurant who does it all! We were greeted and served by Evan, who was super friendly and had exceptional customer service. The restaurant was nice and clean and they played light music for entertainment. There was plenty of parking including some 15 to 30 minute parking for a quick pick up. Definitely going to order from local kitchens when I'm in the area again!

FOOD: They server different types of food from different restaurants. It seems like the menu changes every week. I had one of the best falafels ever. The portions were perfect so was the sauce. I finished the whole thing. The hamburger I'll rate it a 8 including the wings ATMOSPHERE: It was a quiet places to eat. People would come in and out picking up their orders. You can also sit outside if you like. They have small tables that sit 2 ppl SERVICE: You place your on the iPads. You can also ask the chefs about the food and they will place the order for you. They were kind and helpful PARKING: There's enough parking for everyone in the plaza. You don't have to worry about finding a spot VEGAN: Yes they do have vegan options

The boba guys tea was really good! I was nervous that the boba wouldn't be chewy/bouncy since they're not just a boba store but it was shockingly so good:)

I ordered the Griddled Mortadella ($13.45), which came with thinly sliced mortadella, Tay's hot mustard, salt & vinegar chips, shredded lettuce, mayo, and American cheese on toasted Pullman bread. To accompany it, I had a Matcha Latte ($6.10). The restaurant features a unique concept with several dining options under one roof, though the expansive menu can feel a bit overwhelming. While the meal was decent, nothing truly stood out. Having been to their standalone location before, I found the quality there noticeably better. On the bright side, the staff were friendly, and the space was clean. If you're into trying a range of different dishes, this could be an interesting spot, but it didn't leave a lasting impression for me.

Local Kitchens in Mill Valley is now open in the Alto Shopping Center, next door to the UPS Store. The Alto Center is the shopping center with the Whole Foods Market and the Post Office. Local Kitchens @ Mill Valley is the first Local Kitchens in Marin County. It currently offers 8 menus. It's a variety of foods such as- burgers, sandwiches, sushi burritos, salads, fried chicken, pizza, pasta, ice cream and drinks. I have reviewed all the Local Kitchens in the SF Bay Area, and their menu can change at anytime. Local Kitchens @ Mill Valley is somewhat small. It has a small indoor dining area, some tables outside, and a restroom. Most orders are pickup or delivery. A status board on the wall can tell you if your food is ready. You can place orders using ordering stations in the lobby, the website, or the Local Kitchens App. When your food is ready, you simply ask the counter person and he/she will give you your order. Napkins, utensils, and sauces are available at the counter. To be clear, this is not a ghost kitchen. It's like a self-service micro food hall. There will be a person at the front counter for customer service. When I was there at around 530pm on a Sunday, there were two people cleaning and wiping down tables. The location is currently open until midnight. So, it's a good location. Lots of free parking, and it's pretty close to the freeway. The key thing to remember is....now you know there's restaurant that's open until 12-midnight, they will cook to order, and you pay electronically. So you can place an order, and go pick it up.

Well, it's just a contract kitchen with "Dash" written all over it. Not quality, but if you're in a pinch, I guess?

What I received was just meat and cheese, no onions, no cilantro, nothing else. Mistakes happen, so I walked back up to the counter to point it out. Instead of a quick fix, the situation turned into an argument between the front staff and the kitchen about whether the taco had been made correctly. I stepped in to clarify and explained that I had literally just shown the taco to the cashier. At that point, I was essentially told they couldn't verify it because I hadn't physically handed it back to them, while the kitchen insisted it had been made with onions and cilantro. It got awkward fast. Rather than simply remaking the taco, the whole exchange felt like I was being accused of making it up over a $9 order. At that point, I decided to leave. It's not about the taco, it's about how the situation was handled. If there's an issue, just fix it and move on. Turning it into a debate with the customer is not the move. They really need to do better on basic customer service.

Because of that, my experience may be influenced by expecting a bit higher quality, especially given the other food options in the area The Cantina in Mill Valley is a pretty standard Mexican spot with a Tex-Mex lean. I usually enjoy this style of food; I was a big fan of places like El Torito in SoCal, but this one didn't quite land for me. We ordered two burritos. The portions were generous, but the flavors were very mild. I love bold, spicy food, and these were lacking seasoning in my opinion. I ended up taking half home and adding avocado, lemon, and salsa from my own kitchen to give it the punch it was missing. We also tried the queso fundido, which was interesting. I hadn't had it prepared quite like that before, and it definitely leaned more Tex-Mex. It wasn't bad, just different from what I expected. Unfortunately, the service was a letdown as well. I had to find menus myself, and the only ones available at the bar were happy hour menus. Later, the server told us that happy hour isn't honored on holidays, which was disappointing. If that's the case, those menus shouldn't be out at all--it sets expectations that weren't met. Overall, if you're looking for a basic Tex-Mex spot and aren't big on spice, this might work for you. For me, between the bland food and the service issues, it's not a place I'd rush back to.

First of all, we came during an off-hour, around 3:30pm, and there was still a line to order at the counter. They provided complementary ice water from a dispenser outside with cups, which was really nice. Once we placed our orders, we stood outside with everyone else as the indoor area is pretty small with only limited counter seating at the window. We waited about 5 minutes to order and another 10-15 for our food. Most people set up camp on the tailgates of their cars in the parking lot, so we did the same. Pro tip: some people brought camping chairs and coolers to make it into a real tailgate, which I thought was really cool. - Pollo al horno: ordered the Large plate which came with generous portion of chicken, white rice, choice of fried garlic plantain or sweet plantain (or one of each), side of beans (choice of black or pink), and a side salad. Chicken was marinated very nicely and wasn't too dry. - Bistec encebollado: ordered the Large plate also which came with the same as above. Steak was cooked well and surprisingly tender enough to cut easily. Both plantains were good but I really liked the garlic one because it was different than the sweet plantains I'm used to. The Large plate portion sizes were huge! Although the price did reflect this, I think it was still worth for the amount of food given.

I came around 4:30pm, and the restaurant was empty, so we were seated immediately. Service was quick and efficient. I did hear a lot of the loud conversation between the two girls at the register about Instagram and TikTok.... I ordered the super burrito, which was nicely toasted, but overall it was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out either. There was no real spice or bold flavor, and I couldn't quite figure out what it was missing. The horchata was pretty basic. It tasted more like plain milk with cinnamon sprinkled on top rather than the richer, more flavorful horchata you'd expect. I also tried the Baja fish tacos, which were disappointing. The fish wasn't crispy enough and lacked flavor. The tortilla was easily breaking apart. It's like they took the tortilla straight out of the bag because it was cold and didn't look cooked. It came with tortilla chips that were over-fried and borderline burnt, though I wasn't sure if that was intentional. Another reason this ended up being a lower rating for me is the owner's response to feedback. As you can see in other reviews, Tommy tends to get very defensive when customers leave criticism, which I found pretty unprofessional. After I posted my review, he actually messaged me directly (see screenshot), which was honestly off-putting. Yelp is meant to be a space for customers to share their honest experiences, whether positive or negative, and responding in that way doesn't reflect well on the business. I also live in San Francisco, where there's no shortage of authentic and high-quality Mexican food, so I stand by my opinion. Being told my palate isn't "on point" felt dismissive rather than constructive. If anything, I'd just caution others that if you leave feedback here, be prepared for a defensive response from ownership, which may impact your overall experience beyond just the food. Overall, I was surprised given the strong reviews. The meal felt pretty bland across the board, and unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype. Also the owner's attitude doesn't deserve any business. After the owners negative and defensive responses, I know I won't come back.
