Came here post hike. Fish tacos were very yummy. Super moist and flaky. Came with some delicious salsa and guacamole. Price is a bit steep ($20 for 2 fish tacos) but it was delicious. Chile rellano I could skip out on. It was a special. It was good but I wish the cheese was more gooey.

Fried Fish Taco - along with homemade Chips & fresh Guac!! Soooo Good.

I recently moved to Corte Madera - and stumbled on this Gem! Kito's fish tacos, Guac and homemade Chips were amazing!! Its a cute place, the staff was warm/welcoming and really thoughtful with their recommendations - I am planning to be 'a regular' !!

Stopped by after a long hike and this was the perfect meal to have as a reward. I would usually overlook the quesadilla in favor of a burrito or taco but I'm so glad I didn't in this case. The chicken quesadilla was almost the size of a burrito and the tortilla wrap was crispy and cheesy. It included lots of great fillings including avocado and the accompaniments were top notch. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area! They also do pre orders on their own website - not on DoorDash.

Sweet neighborhood taco shop. We started with the Queso Fundido (aka "Mexican Fondue)--it was delicious and filling with lots of very crispy tortilla chips. I ordered the scallop taco and grilled fish taco. My friends ordered Quesabirria tacos and a breaded fish taco. The aguas frescas we had today are: horchata, watermelon, and mango. You stand in line to order and pay, then they bring out your food--we sat at one of the long, family style tables. It was lively but spacious.

Maybe a bad day? Sorry, high hopes with good reviews. Maybe a bad day? Tacos were not very good. Only 1 small corn tortilla, which would be a problem with juicy tacos, but the meat was so rubbery n dry, not a problem. The salsas were good. I love taco trucks, kinds missed the spot when you dont get a few chips or grilled pepper n onions. Ph yeah, Im not sure if it was a dish or a fish monger visiting, but the smell of fish at one time was enough to wrap up and leave. Maybe other days are better, but I likelyy wont find out.

Perfect way to end a long hike. My friends and I hiked near Larkspur and conveniently stumbled upon Kito's Taco Shop on our drive back home. The food was very tasty, we ordered the fish tacos and a quesadilla, a hibiscus refresher, and a watermelon refresher. The staff was very attentive and the food came out quickly. I think it took a total of 25 minutes or so from entering the shop to getting the food on our table. I also appreciated the decoration and shop floor plan as a whole. It feels very authentic, mom and pop, and homey. It looks small on the inside, but it actually seats quite a few people. Also the noise level was perfect. Would love to come back here again!

My group of 4 friends enjoy regular dinners here, as there is something for everyone and the food is consistently high quality and flavorful. My vegetarian friend likes to get the veggie taco with sides of beans and elote. My friend with a dairy sensitivity likes to get the burrito without cheese. I have a nut allergy and the staff are accommodating of it - today I got the salmon fish taco plate and loved it! The southwest salad with shrimp that my other friend got looked tasty and I will try it next time. Helpful staff and casual ambiance.

Stopped by last weekend with the family and LOVED it. I've been wanting to try Kitos for a while, and I'm glad we finally had a chance to go. It's a cozy, lively and bright little shop that has good and friendly service and delicious eats. We came during prime lunch time on a Sunday, so naturally, it was busy, but it only took us a few minutes to find a table. It was pretty crowded since it's a relatively small shop. The food took a little longer than expected, but giving them the benefit of the doubt that it was really busy. Plus I'm a true believer that GOOD FOOD TAKES TIME. The way my quesadilla was crafted was a work of art. It was so evenly distributed (I think we have all encountered the burrito that is rice and beans for the first 10 bites before you even get a piece of meat) and every bite was loaded with flavor. I think the only thing that could've made it better was the salsa. The salsas have a lot of great flavor, but has zero kick. My guess is they cater to the county's taste, but if the salsa were actually spicy, this would be a 6 star rating.

Get the quesadilla. The tortilla is crisp and they put all the toppings in the inside so it's not messy.

Fish tacos, bruh. Yes, the chips and guac come standard with the two taco meal.

First time eating here today. Friendly, warm and welcoming young staff in a well designed little space. The exterior caught my eye while in traffic. Fish tacos were great. My family has owned a fish market in Dana Point for over 40 years (Jon's Fish Market), so I am fluent in what makes a tasty fish taco. Kitos does not disappoint. Some have made mention of the pricing ($18.95 for my tacos), but the quality is there (amazing, well seasoned homemade chips and tortillas), and this is Marin, so...‍ I've been blessed enough to spend a few months in Paris the last couple years. My Dad asked me how I afford the restaurants, to which I responded, "Dad, I live in Marin. I'm saving $ on meals in Paris!" Give Kitos a try. You'll dig it.

    Baja fish tacos to-go

The place was so cute but we had to get takeout and the Baja fish tacos were goooood! Thick filets of fish gently fried with a dash of spice and finely shredded slaw - the chips with a dash of chili - this dish was outstanding. The guacamole is handmade and delicious. We also got the tater tot loader fries but ate those too fast to photograph. Great little hidden spot worth the stop

Kitos is a colorful, cozy taco shop that's taken over the teeny tiny original Burmatown space in Corte Madera. This is a lunch to early dinner (open all day, but closes at 7 pm weekdays, 8 pm Friday & Saturday) spot run by a Marin local, who is originally from So Cal and whose Grama Kito, is the namesake. Favorites include Kito's chicken and carne asada quesadillas, full of homemade salsa and the charred protein of your choice, and guacamole. Their quesadilla is sizable and griddled. Other tables put in orders for their grilled chicken salad. Street tacos here are tiny but good, and especially well priced on taco Tuesdays: carne asada, chicken and vegetarian tacos, that you can mix and match. It's hard to make a meal of the tacos, they are more of a snack. The veggie taco features black refried beans & their chips & their salsas taste homemade.

I've had the tea leaf salad and BBQ pork garlic noodles. I sadly can no longer eat red meat but the BBQ pork was delicious and the garlic noodles were not overly greasy. I forgot to also include that the tea leaf salad here is one of the best I've had! My coworker that I brought there last year had never had Burmese food and I had her try the Tea Leaf Salad (my personal favourite) and she loved it and insisted that was the best salad she's ever had. We're from the South so our palette is different, lol. This place also has a lot of fusion dishes and is very friendly to vegans and vegetarians. This is very important for me due to dietary restrictions. The restaurant was very clean, the decoration was cute and the owner's daughter was incredibly kind. She told us that her mother's recipes were used for the restaurant. I'll be bringing my partner and other friends here when we have time. The only issue is the parking. Parking is insanely frustrating in this area but this place is worth it. Just carpool together and go! The owner's daughter also has a really good memory since we couldn't come back for several months and she still remembered us and our request for ube cheesecake, lol. Edit: Oops, I meant original owner's daughter. I'm not sure if she's the owner now or her mom. Either way, the food is great and service is always kind. It feels especially kind when owners of the business are passionate about their food and encourage their customers! I found the pictures and uploaded them (oops, it was from 2024 not last year too).

Otherwise the food here isn't particularly interesting, and wouldn't have been worth writing about except that on a recent and particularly cold, wet evening I ordered a bowl of my ultimate comfort food, clam chowder. What arrived was such a major departure from the expected I had nowhere else to air the case, so now here we are. What arrived at the table was essentially a kind of thickened clam broth. Not flour & water library paste thick. but with the right pasta would have been an ersatz linguine alle vongole (less actual clams). Or adding potatoes would make it the soup of the day which I've been noticing more often on menus is termed "potato chowder". (about this last I'd like to take issue: how can a thickened potato soup rightly be called a chowder given that in traditional chowder recipes the essential ingredient is in fact potatoes (no? ask google). I figure to a marketing kind of mind calling this bland goo a chowder lends a certain cachet that mere "soup" lacks, for whatever that'$ worth) Where was I? oh yeah, i should add that neither potatoes nor pasta were in this clam soup, but to avoid a claim that the order didn't meet the "clam" description, it did include clams. However the clams were all in shell, half-open and floating or submerged in the broth. Not what I expected and definitely messy to fish them out. And of course, it's a chowder so where were the potatoes? But the clams were fresh and with enough sourdough to add the necessary carb load I decided on this cold wet night not to make an issue of this. So if you didn't complain, well you must have had no complaint... except I did. The bowl of clam chowder I was served looked nothing like the customer photo posted somewhere on your yelp page. I'll just stay with salads.
