I ordered chicken tenders and they were served over cooked. I brought it to the cooks attention and he said that's how he cook the tenders. At this point , I was at a point to where, the cook just don't want to acknowledge that he over cooked the strips and there is no way I will patronize this establishment with my money. I know I as one individual doesn't matter, but it goes to say, serving me over cooked and burnt chicken tenders is acceptable. I have the pics to validate what I am stating here. The lighter pic of the tenders is what is posted on their web page. The darker color is what was served by the waitress and what the cook claims to be how he always cook the tenders. This is by far my favorite place in the entire Vail valley. It's a laid back coffee shop by day (with incredible coffee btw) and super fun bar/lounge by night. The fact that tons of locals flock here is a testament to the quality of the drinks and friendliness of LJ's staff, but even if you're in town for a couple days or staying at Beaver Creek, it'll be worth your while to stop in for a coffee or a pint. I'm pretty much a beer guy, but Loaded Joe's cocktail selection is pretty awesome and the bar tenders know what they're doing. read more

Out of coffee at a coffee place? Yep. Last Sunday we arrived at 9:15. It took about 10 minutes for a table. I grabbed coffee while we waited. We were seated and I went back for a refill-no coffee. Waited and waited. A server came by and poured what looked like colored water in my cup. I went back to the coffee station, while we waited for our food for 45 MIN., no coffee. They never had more dark roast or the other, breakfast roast, while we were there. Seriously. I'm not exaggerating. My husband cancelled his order as we had to leave and I took my breakfast sandwich to go. I had asked for avocado ($8) and it was six of the tiniest slices you've ever seen. The eggs were awful, I threw it away. We just did not understand the slow service. There were at least 3 servers and someone who seemed to be a manager, seating people and clearing tables. Also, at least 3-4 people in the kitchen. It's not that big, there aren't that many tables. I've been a server and know what it is like to be slammed-and they were busy-but looking around the slow service just didn't make sense. read more

Amazing View, but the service was pretty bad. I would've been ok knowing the help had tons of tables, but that was not the case. I had to get my own latte that had been sitting at the bar and me wondering if it was mine because I had been waiting awhile. I went to pick it up I thought no problem, she's probably busy. Then my husband looked over and saw a couple of meals sitting at the food drop off area and that we were both wondering if that was our breakfast sitting there getting cold the waitress eventually got to them and yes indeed it was ours and they were cold! I stopped in to this establishment on my way out out town with my boyfriend. The moment we walked up to the counter to order our mocha and americano, two of the kitchen crew members working the grill next to the register began making comments about how much they wanted to 'f*** my pussy' within earshot. This made me so incredibly uncomfortable that I couldn't work up the nerve to say anything to any of the other crew members. When I got my coffee, I just left. This has been my favorite breakfast spot in Eagle County for years. Our group had the avocado toast, breakfast burrito, and lemon ricotta pancakes. Everything was delicious. My only wish is that they hadn't changed the menu. It's about half the size as the previous menu and they got rid of some favorites like biscuits and gravy, plain French toast, and the vegetarian and green chili burritos. A little pricy too. Great place for breakfast. Sat outside since we had a dog. They brought us a carafe of coffee. The Brioche sandwich was very good. The roll was fresh with a fried egg, ham and cheese. Mary Catherine is sweet and makes people feel at home. Cool vibe, nice food that's affordable- Egg and Cheese on bagel or tortilla runs only $6.25. Smoothies that run from nutritious to decadent. They are open for lunch with basic but good sandwiches starting at $9.25 for sandwich with choice of chips or fruit and they serve that till 8pm. Open at night for drinks and tapas. I was encouraged to come here with all the positive reviews. I found the food wasn't that good. Maybe I was expecting more flavor than I got. I had the breakfast sandwich with Avocado and they ended up putting the Avocado stem in my sandwich. Who does that? The overall flavor of the sandwich was also very bland. The coffee also was tasteless as well. I wasn't expecting 5-star service but it was also very slow reacting to greet me, take my order and pay my bill as well. They were marginally busy, but seemed behind. The pool table and music deck takes up valuable space that could be used for additional seating. I wouldn't come back to this place, unless they made some changes to the menu, and were able to improve service somewhat. read more

We had lunch here and the best description I can give is lackluster. Our waiter was slow and no one seemed to particularly be in a hurry to do their jobs or be friendly. For some reason, all of the glasses are only partially filled and there was a strange odor near our table that wasn't appetizing. The food was pretty good but overpriced, even by mountain standards. They have terribly rude staff that won't answer when you try and make a take out order. I have a young child and I need to just pick up food and go. They told me to hold then put down the phone. My wife and I stopped in for breakfast Friday morning (9/22). Really cool, laid back vibe. Great location just off one of the many roundabouts near the base of Beaver Creek Resort area. Service was spot on with a friendly server greeting us instantly. My wife ordered the oatmeal with fruit and I ordered the "Eggs Your Way". The oatmeal comes out with a topping of whipped cream and since my wife is sensitive to dairy, we called the server over. Perhaps it was listed on the menu that way, perhaps not. Either way, the server immediately rectified the situation and had the kitchen make scrambled eggs and a side of fruit, on the fly. Kudos to the excellent service. She was nothing short of impatient and snippy and honestly I cant think of the correct words to describe her without cursing. I never write these reviews but this girl was beyond rude. When she gave me a cold plate of food and I asked her if they had a mic or an oven they could pop my plate into for a minute and I was barely acknowledged the first time I asked and the second time I got a belligerent rant about how there was "no possible way for me to warm up your food" (said with a 'suck it up' attidude). It was not crowded, and the guy behind the bar was too busy chatting to tell me that someone would be right with me. Finally, a waitress who seemed to be half asleep seated me. She didn't seem thrilled to be at work and certainly didn't mind letting me sit with no coffee refill. Restaurant had probably 10 patrons in it. Burrito was good, but service sucked. Not impressed. Only one server for the entire place and she disappeared at times. Thus, resulting in slow service. I ordered the chicken club with sweet potato fries. The chicken club was ok, but it only covered half of the bun. I would recommended that that they either flatten the chicken or buy a breast that fits the bun. This will keep the customer from have a bread sandwich. However, the sweet potatoes fries were excellent. Final outcome, I will not return and I would also recommend that you should try a different restaurant as their are many in the area. read more
