For my every three month service, they charge me as if they done a whole treatment, but the gate to one of the front yards and backyard were locked and the gate to the other backyard was locked and they still charged me for doing a complete service.. as far as I can remember, they didn't call me the day before and tell me they were coming or else I would've told them not to because I tried. Sales representative Michelle Ball was a friendly and prompt to respond to my calls or texts. Kelly in accounting was kind and patient in setting up said payments. Today I was confronted with a swarm of small termites (didn't know what they were) in my bathtub. We have an annual inspection contract with Lloyd's and for the most part have been happy. Today when I called I was given an appt for tomorrow. I told my husband I don't think I can wait til tomorrow and maybe I should find new termite company. My husband called Lloyds again and explained how upset I was. Lloyds to their credit understood my issue and sent Alicia one of the techs within the hour. Alicia was GREAT. She immediately realized termites were entering through our skylights and didn't hesitate to carry her ladder three floors and inject whatever was necessary to stop the swarm. We just had our house tented for termites by Lloyd Pest Control. It was the first time we have done that after owning our house for 20+ years, and we were not excited about going through the hassle and expense. But I have to say from start to finish everyone at Lloyd was great and everything went super smoothly. Danny was our contact before, during and after the tenting and he was extremely responsive and very helpful. The guys who did the actual tenting were on time and took good care to not damage anything inside or outside of our house. The price was fair and they delivered on everything they said would. After putting this tenting off for a long time, the whole experience was really just fine thanks to Lloyd's. We had a fair amount of external termite damage to our home after 24 years, much of it hidden to our untrained eye. We researched and contacted several different companies for quotes and we felt most comfortable going with Lloyds. A big part of that decision was due to our inspector, Janine. She was always quick in responding to our questions and concerns. She was also very thorough and straightforward...I appreciated her "no BS" style. She even recommended against some of the treatments other companies were selling (ie attic spray treatment). If you are getting a quote from Lloyds, ask for Janine. The team (Juan, Isidoro and others) that did the wood repairs did a great job and left the site clean at the end of each day. They also put up with all my questions and curiosity of the repair process. The fumigation company who did the tenting was subbed out (as I understand most pest control companies do these days). No issues with them. Hopefully the fumigation was successful, I guess we'll know a bit down the road. We purchased the tile insurance and only a handful of tiles were broken by the fumigation company (apparently this is unavoidable). Broken tiles were replaced quickly. Lloyds pricing was competitive...they were not the lowest or the highest. In the end, we feel we made the right choice and would highly recommend using Lloyds for termite repairs/treatment. read more

I contracted this company and was mislead by their salesman who gave me empty promises of items i requested and he agreed and didnt put them in the contract, now he is gone and the company is telling me is not in the contract so it sucks to be you. i did not get the work i was promised and also their salesman made it sound so nice that the company would give me a customer portal and folliow up annually to make sure the termites wouldnt return. All a bunch of lies, they tented my house, fumigated, didnt do what the salesman promised, took my money and never saw them again. EDIT: Seeing the reply from management below, please dont try to discredit me as the customer, your company provided services for me a couple of years ago, you were paid in full, your salesman only wrote a small portion of his promises in the contract and fooled me, now he is gone, my money is gone, my property never got inspected as he promised, I never got the follow up service he promised, and all I got on top of this when i reported it is a manager who instead of teaching his salesperson to be honest they come online to try to discredit my claims and use the contract to tell me "too bad". I want nothing to do with your company again, the only thing I hope to get out of this post, is that you teach your salespeople to keep their words and give the customers who trust you what they are promised, and don't hide behind a contract that is missing all that they promised. read more

Had someone sit for 2 hours starting at 7:30 as told to me by Lloyds. It is now 10:00 that we are finally hearing back that they won't be around until 11:00-11:30. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE... My neighbor hired Lloyd Pest Control to perform termite fumigation on their home. Our homes are very close together, so they needed approval to access and tent a portion of my property . I approved access under the condition that the technicians inform me upon arrival and exit from the property. Steve, the inspector, agreed to my request and said they would be there the next day, which was a Friday, 11/3/23. They did not arrive until 6:15 pm and entered my property without notifying me. They were not wearing any clothing identifying themselves as Lloyd Pest Control employees. It was also after business hours and it was dark outside. My dog and my security cameras were alerted and I had no idea who these people were that were wandering around on the side of my house. I went outside and asked one of the men why they were there. The man did not speak English and I do not speak Spanish. He just walked away to get another guy to talk to me. That guy came over and immediately confronted me with, "I am in charge, we're here to do tents for 2-3 hours." At this point, I inferred that they were with Lloyd Pest Control. I asked them to provide their company identification - I require this for any contractor that enters my property for safety reasons. There were three workers and all three refused to I.D. I told them they could not enter the property without doing so. They continued to demand entrance and I continued to turn them away. It was already dark outside, after business hours and intending to climb onto a 2 story home to hang the tents until 10 pm. I called Steve the inspector and asked him to explain the situation. He informed me that they were a 3rd party sub-contractor and "In this industry, 95% of this type of work is outsourced." He tried to make further excuses for why they were there at such a late hour, and I shut him down immediately. I don't what the industry standard is - if you sub-contract work on my property, you had better go through a compliant vetting process to ensure they are legal citizens and worthy of representing your business. The unprofessionalism and disrespect I experienced was disgusting. Please DO NOT HIRE Lloyd Pest Control. They respect their bottom-line more than they do their customers and make excuses for poor business practices. The BBB of California has been notified. read more

Yes, the termites are gone, but don't trust what they tell you because they outsource their jobs. The company they sent, Elite, did not do what I was told by Corey, the Lloyd's rep. They fumigated my plants when Corey said they would move the rocks and not cover the plants. Three plants didn't recover. Elite workers also stood on my neighbors drainpipe. You could clearly see where someone stood. No apology from Lloyd's - all excuses. Ask whomever you hire if their company will actually do the work. Never again. read more

We bought a quarterly service for both ants and rodents. Our house resides near canyons and we get snakes, ants, rodents, spiders and the like. For a couple years now, ants have been the culprit when it comes to our pantry items and trash. The past summer, we have had additional visitors (rats and mice) that we decided to include rodents with our quarterly service. For ants, our first service is when they come to the house to assess where the ants are coming from and where they are going. We found ants in our pantry/kitchen and in our bathrooms. The tech came out and placed bait near those areas as well as outside. He forewarned us that we will see an influx of ants since they are taking the bait and to not be concerned. They will take the bait and bring it back to the queen et al. We did see a bunch of ants come out but after a couple days all the ants disappeared. Suffice to say, since we started the quarterly service, we have not had any any problems since (and it's been 2 years). During a service, we get a notification that our tech will be arriving. You don't need to be home but the tech does need access to your backyard. The tech will come and assess as well as sweep the porch areas for any webs, etc, then the tech will spray. The tech takes about 30-45 mins and leaves an invoice at your door. Then you're done! We added rodents since we had a few issues with mice and rats. There are 2 options whereby they set up traps or use poison. With 2 little ones, we decided on the traps. Within the first couple days, there have been 2 caught in the traps. We contacted customer service to let them know and they came out the next day to empty them. We have had only good experiences so far. Our tech is Alonso and he is very thorough and provides education on the process. Highly recommend! read more

Moving into a new home, we requested a termite inspection after being here for six years, concerned that if there were termites, we would like to have them eradicated early before any damage occurred. Karissa at the office set us up with an appointment promptly and was very professional at each contact. Enter Michelle their inspector. If I could give her 10 stars it would still be too little. First, Michelle arrived early after first phoning us asking if that would be okay. She arrived looking very professional and was courteous, professional, personable and so knowledgeable about pest control. She explained the inspection process, asked if we knew of any problem areas and started her inspection. Thorough, even explained the double screening in the attic was a good extra preventive measure, wore gloves and left everything spotless. Walked out to her truck and it too was spotless, showing great pride in not only her, but also company vehicle appearance. Thankfully we are termite free, and I would use Lloyd anytime in the future we have pests or even concerns about pests. We just would ask they send Michelle the next time for sure. read more

Called for a quote to get rid of a brand new gopher in my front yard. The tunnel led right to my new tender young plum tree so I was panicked and called Lloyd's to come out right away! I was texted a proposal that I had to read and sign before anyone would come out. I read it and it wanted me to commit to minimum one year of service that would be charged quarterly and the total would be nearly $800 when I only wanted someone to come out to immediately get this gopher. I have many fruit trees and have never had a gopher problem before so I just needed someone to get this one gopher and then I could assess the situation and potentially/probably call back for service. I asked if there was any way I could just get someone out immediately to save my plum tree- not without signing the contract. So, they could get rid of the gopher and come out again in 3 months to see if there're any more gophers- if not you still pay approximately $200. I guess they don't care what you need- just what they can sell. I ended up purchasing a gopher hawk for $42 and I stuck that in the ground and although it didn't catch the gopher- I have not seen any evidence of the gopher since. Either it knows what a trap is and/or could smell human on the trap- but it got scared and I haven't seen any evidence of the gopher or any gopher since then. Their are still what appear to me termits on over the bottom floor of the property day after fumigation. Many of the windows were left open on the first and second floor of the property after fumigation. This is negligent. My fence was knocked down and they have no plans to repair it and told me to speak to their subcontractor. I do not care who they subcontract out to but at the end of the day they are the people I hired for this project and they have not done an adequate job. I would not recommend them to do any work if this is how they leave a job site. Expecially after claiming zero responsibility over their subcontractors. read more

It is for this reason that we had a full service treatment this week. Our Service Technician this month was Paul Perez and let me tell you, Paul is very detailed and takes the time to make sure everything is covered right. I have never had any problem with the service from any of our technicians from Lloyd's Pest Control, so I am going to make a concentrated effort to post about the excellent service that Lloyd's Pest Control provides as well as provide the names of these great Technocians. For the last five years Lloyd Pest Control in the San Diego area managed pests exceptionally well on my acre of land with four separate buildings. My property in North Poway had challenges with rats in the barn, Black Widow spiders in the Guesthouse & Main House, ants in the kitchen areas & termites in all the buildings. The local pest control company I've had for several years sold their company to Lloyd Pest Control. As first the service was great. However, last time I received a call 15min prior to arrival, without arranging the service in advance. Since I work and have two dogs I needed to be home during the service. Today they came to spray and I told John that I had dogs locked inside during service and to let me know when he was ready to spray on my deck. He didn't spray on the main level deck, he just sprayed downstairs and left. When I called his answer was 'I'm sorry I mis understood, I'll get it next time'. But he had no trouble charging me for a full service. Today when I called to cancel service I was put on hold for 10 minutes. Then I called back and they said 'no problem we will cancel your service'. I guess 'customer service' isn't important! read more

I have used Lloyds for ongoing preventative care for years. However, they did not prevent and then could not find the rat infestation in my house for months. The rats did thousands of dollars worth of damage and each person the came by contradicted what the previous Lloyds employee said. When the rodent was caught (after being found by my handyman), they picked up the rat and did not clean any of the feces. After years of being a customer, I canceled my account and will never use them again. They simply took my money for years and didn't even flinch when I called to explain the issue. read more

I am finally able to take the time to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the termite tenting service I received from Lloyds. Issues included: * Unbeknownst to me, Lloyd's does not do the work that I hired them for. They used a subcontractor. I'm so glad after selecting Lloyds after getting several proposals, that the firm I hired didn't do the work! * The subcontractor never showed up when they were supposed to, in fact for the initial tenting, they were 4 hours early and I wasn't fully ready. I emphasized contacting me when they planned to take it down. I verified they had the correct number, but they never called. * They broke the backyard BBQ grill when they stood on it. Did they mention this, no. * They broke an upstairs window they had opened (knocked it off its track and broker a side rod). The repair cost is $190.72. Did they pay for this? No response. * They claimed there were no broken roof tiles when I asked. I had purchased the insurance. When I refused to pay until the tiles were inspected, they came back out and replaced a dozen tiles. Do not hire them! read more
