You can literally smell this from the other end of the parking lot. I usually just get a side of sliced pork with a scoop of rice that comes up to $5. I'm a small girl so this portion is just right. They also have a whole bunch of condiments on the right side of the stand. Husband brought me here since I had yet to try it after all this time of being on the island. Him continuing to tell me how great the food is doesn't help the desire of wanting some. Nor does it help that one can smell the food from the parking lot every time I was either going to the NEX or the Commissary. I was a tad worried in how long it would take to get our food with how long the line was. But to my surprise, the line was going extremely fast. A bit worrisome as I've had bad experience where the food wasn't cooked properly. I was thrilled that this wasn't the case. We got the combo platter. It might not seem like a whole lot to share between to people, but it does come with salad and rice. I tried the chicken first. A bit tough on the outside but soft and moist on the inside. Then I went for the pork. Not too fatty as it sometimes can be. And finally (when it comes to the meats) the beef which was just as delicious as the pork. Aside from the slide exterior dryness of the chicken, it was flavorful. It reminded me of how we make our BBQ back in the Philippines. It made me miss being in the Philippines. The rice was cooked all the way. No mushy nor uncooked rice. The salad was a bit small. Had it with Italian dressing. Overall was great. It was nice to see that food was constantly being made especially during busy hours where you can't slack. The lady packing all the food was moving quite fast. They all worked well together to get everyone's order out as fast as possible while still hot. No charred bits in the food which was great. Truly the combo plate was more than enough for the two of us. Next time I'll get my own so I can have it for 2 meals. read more

The meat is excellent! However the rice was so mushy it was like rice cake and I could do without a quarter inch of water & ice drowning my salad. It's also a little pricey for what you get. read more

To be honest i feel as if they charge way to much for a stick... Being Filipino and making Filipino BBQ is time consuming so when I came to Liz's craving Filipino BBQ i grabbed a stick and couldn't blv how much I was charged for one stick on top of that I waited at least 15 mins!! BLACK PEOPLE do not eat here. They do not like us. I have been going here for some time now and service has always been good until today. I guess they had a new clerk at the cash register. She was an older lady. Maybe Asian I'm not sure. However, as I walked up she didn't seem to inviting as as I ordered she was mean mugging me the whole time. I place my order give her my money. And when she gave me my change back. I had my hand out to receive it, instead of placing my change in my hand she slams it on the counter. And also slams my receipt. That is a huge pet peeve and also highly disrespectful to do that to anyone but still I said ok I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. When I picked up my change I stepped to the side for other people to order. I reached out to grab my drink from her she did the same thing looked at me with a mean mug and slammed my drink. At that point I was infuriated. So I sat down without eating my food, watched to see how she was with other customers and to my surprise she was more welcoming to others and I watched her smile and be kind to the other people. But the most important part was I literally watched her place everyone else's money in their hand. Yes they were white and of other races and of the lighter complexion. I sat there and watched her do it for about ten min. Placing people's money back in their hand seemed really familiar to her however she decided to treat me differently and the only thing I can think of is because of my race. I didn't do anything to her nor was I disrespectful. So after I saw that I didn't even eat any of the food I bought. I simply threw it away right in their face. So black people do not waste your money on such trash. I hope that lady finds Jesus cause she needs it. read more

Great BBQ place and great location. They always get you with the smell when you are shopping at either the NEX or commissary. Great tactic.

This is a mini bbq cart stand outside of the NEX next to the shave ice stand that I've yet to try. I'd say the price is just okay for what you get. My friend loves bbq, and she's just drawn to this stand everytime. I have to admit, its a delicious smell if you're not a strict vegetarian, and its hard to fight back, even after you've just eaten something else and are on your way out. I mean, c'mon... "what harm could one stick of bbq do?" right? My friend and I usually share the first combo for like $8+ or something like that. It comes with a can of soda, a scoop of rice, mac salad, and two pork bbq sticks. Its pretty much the only thing I've tried here because that's all she ever wants to get. The staff rotates the stock of raw meats regularly with the freezers in the employee only area of the food court. You'll really notice it if you happen to see them going up or down the elevator with a cart of meat, so you really get the sense that this stand is keeping things safe, because all the food is cooked right there. Now run down for taste... The meat can get a bit dry sometimes, but they have a few bbq and steak sauces on the side, as well as vinegar and I think ketchup. The bbq itself is slightly flavored. If you really like just the taste of bbq pork without too many seasonings, then it'll probably great for you. I like mine quite a bit stronger and more tender. I'm pretty picky with fats as well. Basically... If you don't wanna cook your own.... it smells nice and its convenient and the actually take charge debits or credits. Chances are though, you might not really be totally satisfied and might end up going home to cook it the way you like. I'm guessing the very very thorough cooking is a safety precaution? Who knows... sometimes a burned and charged bbq pork can taste real good if its not burned all the way through. Definitely better than regular fast food though in my opinion. read more

Food is always good. I prefer the pork, but my husband likes the mixed plate. He did say the beef is a little dry though.
