    Ahi katsu
    Rod U.

Hawaii's transient food scene continues to surprise. This time, with well cooked, fresh fish, and flavor, creative sauce blends. It is not perfect but with some reengineering on your part... The ahi katsu, thick chunks of perfectly cooked (mid well) fresh ahi topped with a combo of yum yum and a spicy dynamite sauce, solid. The coating on the outside is much harder possibly from using a starch based slurry before rolling in panko then deep frying. It might not be for everyone. The mahi mahi tempura would be a failure if not for the absolutely perfectly cooked, fresh mahi mahi inside and how well it pairs to a sauce that seems to be a honey mustard miso aioli. Peel off the soggy coating and all is good. Plates come with an interesting mayo based potato / broccoli salad that matches the sauces better than the white rice. Portions are extremely generous and priced right, averaging $20. Local, friendly service. Follow on IG for popup locations around the Island. Looking forward to trying non deep fried dishes. With the spot on cooking, I have high expectations.

    Surf n Turf

Was fortunate enough to try this place at the Waikiki Ho'olaulea Street Fest, and I'm so glad we did! Nice large portions at a really good price and everything we tried was super delicious. This was one of my favorite food stops in at the festival and I'd gladly come back.

    Overwhelming amount sauce.

Long line at 12:30 downtown. So expectation is that would still have food. Wanted fish...ordered salmon and mahi. Out of both. Okay, soft shell crab? Out of that. Only Ahi. Disappointing since it's got "Seafoods" in the name. Ended up getting the garlic shrimp and chicken plate. Seems like choke food, but it's mainly choke rice on the bottom and choke sauce on the top. Tasted okay, but can't really taste the shrimp or chicken with all that sauce. I ordered noodles...by itself. It is literally just noodles by itself. Some burnt onions. No taste. Bought for baby...I'm gonna have to fix it for her. They selling edamame for fundraiser. She pronounces it "eeedamame"...but it was the best think I got! Maybe go brunch time next time to get other seafood...

Double Patty Smash Burger and Fries
    Keola K.

What a delectable treat for lunch The Order: Smash Burger and Fries It did NOT disappoint. I was first surprised it was a double patty burger, loaded with meat. The burger was huge, juicy, cheeses and that creamy sauce. I'd definitely eat this burger again The fried weee also awesome, slightly battered and great crispy crunch bite topped with their creamy sauce and teri sauce. If you like fried food, this is your jam......fried musubis. Fried fish and shrimp, fried smash burger, fried ice cream haha. Glad I stopped by their food truck today at the Mililani Keiki fair.

Fried spam musubi with ahi poke at the Poke Fest.

#18 of 52 (weeks of trying a new restaurant at least once a week) This review is for a dish we had at the Poke Fest. Nothing had caught our eye yet until we walked by their food truck. I love when restaurants have a sample of what their food looks like. That let's me eat with my eyes first! Everything looked good but we settled on the fried musubi topped with spicy ahi poke. Food was ready in minutes and we found a place to sit and enjoy. I tasted the poke first and it was delicious. Very fresh, great flavor and texture. Was it spicy? No, not really but very good. The dish had 2 fried spam musubi's cut in half. I liked the crunch from them being fried but there was very little flavor. However when I topped each bite with a piece if poke that was the key. You needed the flavor and sweetness of the poke to go with the spam musubi. We ate it all and decided it was our favorite of the evening. We'll definitely frequent them again!

Ordered the soft shell crab sandwich with one egg on top and slaw. The bugggah was meaaaaan. So flavorful. Definitely will be back for more. The owner is super cool and fun fo' talk story with toooo.

Discovered this food truck parked at the the bishop museums Science and sustainability fair and decided to try something new and it really was delicious. I ordered the deep fried smash cheeseburger with fries. The burger patties and cheese were breaded and then deep fried together so it's crispy on the outside instead of using soft bread and it's a wonderful texture and flavor. Hope to eat here again soon

Braddah "Wings" & Garlic Shrimp with only 2 poorly made BBQ wings $18
    Kathy L.

Ordered their Braddah Wings & Garlic Shrimp plate and it did not turn out anything at all like their example plate. The wings on their example plate looked like the crispy spicy wings you'd get from Safeway but the wings they gave me were not only BBQ wings(which I done care for) but they only gave me 2 wings masked in the shrimps garlic sauce. They tasted cold & chewy like they've been sitting out all day. So the plate was basically all garlic shrimp and fries with 2 sad BBQ wings. What's the point of even calling it Braddah wings plate? If they ran out of their standard wings, I wouldn't have been mad and would've appreciated their transparency-some sort of heads up so that I could possibly order a different dish from them. But, nope...not a single peep from them. The whole plate was $18. Not cool and NEVER ordering from them again.

    Jeff A.

There's no doubt this is one of the best deals of any food truck. Do they use the best cuts of fish? No but it's decent. Is the poke fresh? No it's frozen. Does the food taste good? Hell yeah. Are the portions generous? Unbelievably so. $18 gives you a RIDICULOUS amount of seafood. It tastes good and fills your belly. They are currently at the night market/food truck event at the bottom of Ward Ave every Saturday. I'll be back. Mahalos to the owner for delivery quality meals to local people at affordable prices. We appreciate you.

    Jessi Lynne B.

Oh my gosh so yummy! I've seen them on Instagram but never had a chance to try this food truck until finding them at the Pearlridge Saturday Night Pop Up. I was excited! I love that they had a plate of each item to show what it would look like and it definitely looks like the picture. Took maybe 15 minutes, more like 10 to order and get my food. The line was steady and they were pumping out food just as quick. I opted for the Spicy Ahi Salad $20 and I would definitely order it again. Just enough greens and dressing with a nice scoop of spicy ahi poke and deep fried ahi musubi. Look forward to trying something else.

    Salmon and ahi sashimi
    Lauren W.

Wowzaaa, this place serves good food and giant portions! 10/10 service- the owner is so friendly, and he even gave us samples to help us decide what to order 10/10 food- we got the $20 two choice plate and went with da famous beef (super tender twice braised beef) and the special of the day, monchong katsu (fish was moist and batter was perfectly crispy). He also threw in a scoop of spicy ahi and let us choose a platter of sashimi, and the fish was so fresh!! 3 of us split all of it, and we were stuffed. Such good value for the price! Definitely worth trying to find this food truck wherever it's at for the day. We found it on a Friday night at the end of ward Ave near the wharf.

    Poke nachos (shoyu & spicy)
    Katrina B.

The most flavorful food served by the kindest owner! We went to their food truck at the Tuesday Farmer Market at Henry Kaiser high school. We initially got their Surf & Turf (Shrimp, Da Beef, & Shoyu Poke) and IMMEDIATELY went back to order more food because it was so good. The shrimp especially was the best we've had. We went back for the poke nachos (half spicy, half shoyu), and the owner was so kind, he gave us sashimi on the house in honor of our honeymoon. He even made his first ever tuna burger for us to try and MAN it was SO GOOD. The house sauce they use is something else...it's so good, so creamy without being too heavy. We'd give this business 10 stars if we could. Definitely will be back again. We highly highly recommend!

The EXPERIENCE however was terrible. I've been to Ahi & Vegetable many times prior to moving and have always enjoyed their bowls, however, It was my first time trying their AYCE sushi. I'll start with the good. I enjoyed the poke bowl and crunch roll. The menu didn't offer a lot of options and many options costed extra per order. It was an interesting set up. They give the table 1 laminated menu and a pen. The table has to decide how much of each item they want and write it in. Apparently the menus are numbered according to table which is how they keep track of orders. They do warn you that they charge for food not eaten. There were no instructions on how to order or a check in of who has been there before. We came hungry so we ordered. Our orders took a long time to come. One of our tables didn't even get their order which makes me think their ordering system failed. Our food comes out but not all of it. They hand back the menus. We order again. Again it takes a while, but dishes sporadically come out and they keep handing the menus back. All of a sudden all these plates are coming out, some I swear we didn't order. We are trying to keep up, the finished dishes are piling up because the staff gave up bussing tables. I kept track of my personal orders and noticed the orders were duplicated and they were bringing out food we didn't order. The lady tried to bring the menu out but the math wasn't "mathing". There were bowls already in take out containers as opposed to the dine in bowls in earlier orders. This signals an expectation to take out. FYI dry erase can easily be changed by staff. Anyway we ended up with a ton of unfinished food and had to pay extra. I had to take home food no one ordered. It was a mess. I want to blame our large party, but my other coworker was there the same night with just her husband and even they were being handed food they never ordered. Do I think their system is a scam to get you to pay more? Absolutely. Would I go there for AYCE again? Absolutely not. Would I take out a small order? Perhaps.

Very patient with the questions and explanations. They put a star on your table to designate first time visitors so you know they want to male your first visit the best. Everyone kept checking back with and manager stopped by too. Parking validation took $4.00 ofd our parking. Not bad. Leigh and Brandon and one more female server (I'm sorry I didn't write down your name!) are the best!
