    Seared Ahi Plate
    Xin L.

My friend and I came to Pearlridge's village market which happens every Saturday night. Kealoha seafood is a truck towards the entry of the market. A lot of their dishes are deep fried, ranging from deep fried ahi to cheese burgers, but they have a focus on seafood (obviously by their name). We got the seared ahi plate with rice and shoyu ahi poke. This was INSANELY good. The ahi was more fried than seared, as there was a battered crust. The ahi was done to a medium, meaning that there were still a bit of raw ahi peaking through, which I LOVED and enjoyed a lot. The sauces (unagi and spicy mayo) drizzled on top was perfect and made every bite super flavorful. The shoyu ahu poke as a side was also a perfect pairing, it was soft and tasted fresh. Both my friend and I DEVORED this and enjoyed this a LOT. I would really recommend this specific item, but I'm sure their other dishes would be good too ( can't go wrong with fried).

    Ahi katsu

Hawaii's transient food scene continues to surprise. This time, with well cooked, fresh fish, and flavor, creative sauce blends. It is not perfect but with some reengineering on your part... The ahi katsu, thick chunks of perfectly cooked (mid well) fresh ahi topped with a combo of yum yum and a spicy dynamite sauce, solid. The coating on the outside is much harder possibly from using a starch based slurry before rolling in panko then deep frying. It might not be for everyone. The mahi mahi tempura would be a failure if not for the absolutely perfectly cooked, fresh mahi mahi inside and how well it pairs to a sauce that seems to be a honey mustard miso aioli. Peel off the soggy coating and all is good. Plates come with an interesting mayo based potato / broccoli salad that matches the sauces better than the white rice. Portions are extremely generous and priced right, averaging $20. Local, friendly service. Follow on IG for popup locations around the Island. Looking forward to trying non deep fried dishes. With the spot on cooking, I have high expectations.

Was fortunate enough to try this place at the Waikiki Ho'olaulea Street Fest, and I'm so glad we did! Nice large portions at a really good price and everything we tried was super delicious. This was one of my favorite food stops in at the festival and I'd gladly come back.

    Overwhelming amount sauce.

Long line at 12:30 downtown. So expectation is that would still have food. Wanted fish...ordered salmon and mahi. Out of both. Okay, soft shell crab? Out of that. Only Ahi. Disappointing since it's got "Seafoods" in the name. Ended up getting the garlic shrimp and chicken plate. Seems like choke food, but it's mainly choke rice on the bottom and choke sauce on the top. Tasted okay, but can't really taste the shrimp or chicken with all that sauce. I ordered noodles...by itself. It is literally just noodles by itself. Some burnt onions. No taste. Bought for baby...I'm gonna have to fix it for her. They selling edamame for fundraiser. She pronounces it "eeedamame"...but it was the best think I got! Maybe go brunch time next time to get other seafood...

Double Patty Smash Burger and Fries
    Keola K.

What a delectable treat for lunch The Order: Smash Burger and Fries It did NOT disappoint. I was first surprised it was a double patty burger, loaded with meat. The burger was huge, juicy, cheeses and that creamy sauce. I'd definitely eat this burger again The fried weee also awesome, slightly battered and great crispy crunch bite topped with their creamy sauce and teri sauce. If you like fried food, this is your jam......fried musubis. Fried fish and shrimp, fried smash burger, fried ice cream haha. Glad I stopped by their food truck today at the Mililani Keiki fair.

Fried spam musubi with ahi poke at the Poke Fest.

#18 of 52 (weeks of trying a new restaurant at least once a week) This review is for a dish we had at the Poke Fest. Nothing had caught our eye yet until we walked by their food truck. I love when restaurants have a sample of what their food looks like. That let's me eat with my eyes first! Everything looked good but we settled on the fried musubi topped with spicy ahi poke. Food was ready in minutes and we found a place to sit and enjoy. I tasted the poke first and it was delicious. Very fresh, great flavor and texture. Was it spicy? No, not really but very good. The dish had 2 fried spam musubi's cut in half. I liked the crunch from them being fried but there was very little flavor. However when I topped each bite with a piece if poke that was the key. You needed the flavor and sweetness of the poke to go with the spam musubi. We ate it all and decided it was our favorite of the evening. We'll definitely frequent them again!

Soft shell crab with egg and slaw

Discovered this food truck parked at the the bishop museums Science and sustainability fair and decided to try something new and it really was delicious. I ordered the deep fried smash cheeseburger with fries. The burger patties and cheese were breaded and then deep fried together so it's crispy on the outside instead of using soft bread and it's a wonderful texture and flavor. Hope to eat here again soon

    Zubland plate with spicy ahi

Zubland plate with spicy ahi is fire af portions were good too, enough to split one plate.

Braddah "Wings" & Garlic Shrimp with only 2 poorly made BBQ wings $18
    Kathy L.

Ordered their Braddah Wings & Garlic Shrimp plate and it did not turn out anything at all like their example plate. The wings on their example plate looked like the crispy spicy wings you'd get from Safeway but the wings they gave me were not only BBQ wings(which I done care for) but they only gave me 2 wings masked in the shrimps garlic sauce. They tasted cold & chewy like they've been sitting out all day. So the plate was basically all garlic shrimp and fries with 2 sad BBQ wings. What's the point of even calling it Braddah wings plate? If they ran out of their standard wings, I wouldn't have been mad and would've appreciated their transparency-some sort of heads up so that I could possibly order a different dish from them. But, nope...not a single peep from them. The whole plate was $18. Not cool and NEVER ordering from them again.

Oh my gosh so yummy! I've seen them on Instagram but never had a chance to try this food truck until finding them at the Pearlridge Saturday Night Pop Up. I was excited! I love that they had a plate of each item to show what it would look like and it definitely looks like the picture. Took maybe 15 minutes, more like 10 to order and get my food. The line was steady and they were pumping out food just as quick. I opted for the Spicy Ahi Salad $20 and I would definitely order it again. Just enough greens and dressing with a nice scoop of spicy ahi poke and deep fried ahi musubi. Look forward to trying something else.

There's no doubt this is one of the best deals of any food truck. Do they use the best cuts of fish? No but it's decent. Is the poke fresh? No it's frozen. Does the food taste good? Hell yeah. Are the portions generous? Unbelievably so. $18 gives you a RIDICULOUS amount of seafood. It tastes good and fills your belly. They are currently at the night market/food truck event at the bottom of Ward Ave every Saturday. I'll be back. Mahalos to the owner for delivery quality meals to local people at affordable prices. We appreciate you.

    Salmon and ahi sashimi
    Lauren W.

Wowzaaa, this place serves good food and giant portions! 10/10 service- the owner is so friendly, and he even gave us samples to help us decide what to order 10/10 food- we got the $20 two choice plate and went with da famous beef (super tender twice braised beef) and the special of the day, monchong katsu (fish was moist and batter was perfectly crispy). He also threw in a scoop of spicy ahi and let us choose a platter of sashimi, and the fish was so fresh!! 3 of us split all of it, and we were stuffed. Such good value for the price! Definitely worth trying to find this food truck wherever it's at for the day. We found it on a Friday night at the end of ward Ave near the wharf.

Very polite, excellent customer service, and good salesmen lol. Still in the same location, in the heart of Chinatown, in maunakea marketplace, food court side. I ordered the pampano, wife ordered the red snapper, and we was talking about the blue crabs and the guys heard, and did a good job selling it to us. The thing is, they only sold the crabs in a big bulk, like pan size. 2 fish plates, and a pan of crab came out to $100 ish?! I think. Is that a good deal? Idk. lol. Wish they sold it in like 1, 2, or 3 crabs at a time in smaller portions lol. Anyways, this experience was good. They actually went down and picked our fishes for us, but I think the original experience is you go down, pick/buy your own fish, and then bring it up and have them cook it? But even better that they go down to the fish market, grab the fish for you that way no need stress about picking your fish lol Anyway, man they provided a lot of sides, the wife and I, got a side each of scoop of Mac salad, Kim chee cucumber, and Kim chee daikon? To me, they were pretty big portions for sides lol so they served these sides to us first. Yes, and the boys served it to our table. And then served us our food. I think I wanted my fish a little bit more crispier, but was still good. Finally got my pampano fix, and wife really liked her red snapper. I didn't try the crab. Wife said crab was okay. One thing I have to point out is flies. Eating in the food court, for me, personally, no can enjoy eating with flies around. I got to eat and enjoy enough to get full. We were hungry. And we just brought the rest of our food home that we never finish and the pan of crab. Shared it with my father in law. All in all, great experience. 10/10 recommend. Would we come here again? Yes. I have to frickn try the garlic fried noodles, and the wife said she'd definitely go back for her snapper fix again. Go check em out guys!

I think that this AYCE is well worth the price. Fish is fresh. Quality service. Only downside is the amount of rice--make sure you go hungry!

I would note that they do close at 8PM and stop seating AYCE sushi quite early (from what I've heard as early as 6:45). We're given the menu and an expo marker. Then they came back with the wasabi as well as taking our order (aka taking the menu) We got: - Aburi salmon !!, ahi, Hamachi !!, ebi, scallop - Shrimp tempura, vegetable tempura!!, calamari!! - Unagi nigiri !! - Green dragon roll - Fire cracker roll - Baked mussels !! Everything was good, the menu is not super expansive with much less choices than, for example, Kan Sushi. I would also note that they kind of pack each piece with rice. I'm unsure how strict they are regarding the left over rice policies, but if you'd definitely get full very quickly with their rice to fish ratio. I'd recommend the aburi items (maybe except the ebi as it felt especially small the amount of rice). I wouldn't recommend their shrimp tempura as it is definitely pre-packaged shrimp tempura refried. (I also put an "!!" next to the items I would REALLY recommend. Otherwise, I don't think I will come back. Not that it was a bad experience or anything but in my opinion there's just simply better AYCE sushi spots out there.
