Of course they must have taken a first round earlier as I arrived 30 min after they opened... My work day is quite busy and I'm impatient by nature so I did not appreciate standing around for 40 minutes just to wait to order. Then I hear her telling someone it's another 40 minutes for their food. I don't expect it to be quick to be honest, but would have wanted the opportunity to place an order. I was getting angrier and angrier by the second. They need to be more upfront and post on their truck that they take orders in phases so expect to wait 30min + to place your order. ESPECIALLY when you come downtown ... because majority of us are in the middle of our workdays and not able to spend our entire hour just waiting to order. It's inconsiderate and downright rude. I ended up walking away just as they were starting to take orders again because I don't want to support them and I don't have time to wait another 40 minutes when I've already spent over 45 minutes out of the office just waiting to order (plus my walk time). No food (especially heart attack inducing food) is worth that. Arghhh I can't recall the last time I've been so angry and irritated. I always say expectations are everything. Never be surprised by the price... I was lucky to park in one of the two free stalls in front of the shop. There's a funny sign that warns customers to just park there for 10 minutes and "don't eat in your car". LOL! The menu had a lot of variety. I chose Garlic Shrimp, Summer Rolls, Yellow Curry, and Pad see ew. The female cashier was efficient and friendly. She said that it would take about 15 minutes to cook the food. OK! I waited outside because it was cooler. The cozy shop didn't have air-conditioning. I tried everything at home. Too bad the Garlic Shrimp was spicy... whoa! And the Yellow Curry had a kick to it, too! At least it came with a side of rice! The Pad see ew was good and the Summer Rolls were alright. There was a little spot of dry wrapper and the sauce was like a hoi sin type... without chopped peanuts. The shrimps were ripping out of the wrapper, too... but I finished them off! I decided on the Nothing Mayjah plate that had teriyaki beef, mac salad, two shrimp tempura, 3 pork hash, and fried noodles which covered the whole bottom of the plate. The actual plate looked very similar to the sample ones they had on a table in front the truck. The teriyaki beef slices had good flavor but were a bit dry as they were cooked ahead of time. The Mac salad had tuna and corn in it which was different. The shrimp tempura didn't seem to have well defined pieces of shrimp inside, more like batter with bits of ground up and reformed shrimp. The pork hash were great with good flavor. The noodles covered the whole bottom of the plate (no rice) and had green onions, char siu, and kamaboko. Unfortunately the noodles were bland and could have used more seasoning. I still enjoyed the plate and you can't beat the amount of food you get for the price. If a few things were improved on they would get 5 stars! I'd be happy to try other plates from them and see if the quality varies.

I constantly pass this obvious gray truck quietly parked right along Mother Waldron Park in the early hours like a silent nudge for some early morning fuel to start my day...no sign...no service window its like a secret club grinds. Assuming he used to sell Managua sadly none is to be found here but what you'll find is a great assortment of budge friendly items like donuts, pork hash, musubi, chicken and fried noodles. As I approach for my selection a gentleman was a delight ordering two pork hash 2/$1, fried noodles $3 and chicken $2...all was $6! Parked along the park you're able to take advantage to an impromptu picnic though we all basically take it togo as I did to work and fueled my morning for a productive work flow lol! The noodles are plain no cabbage or any veggies not even green onions just some sliced char siu and it was a bit dry but satisfied a hungry appetite, and the pork hash was a tiny single bite size tease and the chicken is similar to a chicken fried steak as it's boneless coated with mochiko it was okay and I was just happy to have a budge friendly choice to start my day. So that might explain why I freaked out with excitement when these guys showed up on my FYP. Finally! I can get takoyaki and I don't have to get it as an appetizer at a restaurant. First off, IMO these guys are the OGs of turning a K-truck into a business. I have never seen it before where you can run a business out of a K-truck until I pulled up and I saw them parked, and now I feel like everybody in Hawaii is doing it. So they don't have tables and chairs, but the vibes are immaculate with that cute OG takoyaki song filling the air as you wait for your order. It took a couple visits, but I love the variety and I've been able to try all their flavors and combos. Sidenote: I also really love that they offer for kids to eat free. My favorite is the original and I forget what the other one is (sorry!) but just know you won't be disappointed with your order.
