    Oh Yah!

First time here & we can't wait to come back to try more of their menu. Ordered the Bimbimbap bowl. You can have the eggs the way you want it, fried, scrambled or shoyu egg. When I received my bowl, it had been absolutely stuffed! The meat was not your typical bulgogi meat, but it was a Wagyu ground beef. But all the veggies that is normally with Bibimbap was the same. The bowl was very tasty, the ground beef soft & flavorful. It was so stuffed with mouthful of blissfulness, what I thought I ate was half the bowl, was only a quarter! We can't wait to come back again!

Clean, very good service, eco friendly, very very spacious, & they follow all their covid protocols & the staff is fun!!

I had the loco moco. It was just ok. Burger didn't taste fresh. Portion wasn't very large. Bagged salad with so so dressing. Canned corn. Service was friendly though.

The Sistah on Punchbowl is so awesome! She was able to take my huge order via Instagram and it was ready by the time I got there. She even added something extra and special for "us" since she knew I was coming from the hospital. Specials change everyday so best to message her before going. Everything is so good. Thanks Sistah!

I just discovered this cute food trailer "Cafe Parkside" on Yelp as I was looking for restaurants…read morein Kalihi. Not sure where it was located in Kalihi, but I was determined to find it. I was at Richies Drive inn when I remembered to check out this place. It was about a couple lanes or two further down North King Street heading west and sure enough you can spot the cute food trailer in the parking lot. Did you know the family built this wooden cafe on the trailer together?! The Kids helped built this with the direction of their father. They are parked near the street in the shared parking lot with the Pawn shop & Jackson Hewett Tax Servive. It's across the Kapalama Post office but before the old Pizza Hut location and I think after Palace Saimin You would only see the cafe on the trailer from Tuesday-Friday from 11am -5pm. There are some picnic benches and chairs under the canopy tent while you wait. In the beginning they started out in Waimanalo but for now they are here in Kalihi. They are known for their Steak and Shrimp plate and their two huge pieces of boneless fried chicken. They have some regular items and some specials of the day. Best to call ahead and place your order. The fried chicken would take the longest about 10 minutes wait time. They have some other items which sounded good like pot roast pork which is not offered all the time, hamburger steak. Kalbi, loco moco, bbq chicken, etc. On a hot day, shave ice and slushies and slushes floats would be refreshing. They have lemonade and orange aid slushies , but I got an orange aid slushie float with ice cream. I decided to get the fried chicken since I had some time to wait. it was huge as the photos posted and it was $12! It was hot and crispy in a seasoned flour battered. I couldn't wait to take a bite as I was driving, but I just tried part of the fried batter. It was seasoned so it was a little salty for me perhaps I just ate the batter part. The chicken gravy given was really good but having two humongous boneless chicken, I may need more gravy than the large portion cup given. Chicken tasted better after pouring some of the gravy over it. The gravy was yummy and not the brown gravy, but the light tan gravy! I'm looking forward to try more dishes like the rib eye steak, pot roast pork or some other specials. Please support this family own business! Daily specials are posted on their Instagram page @cafeparkside808. They were so nice and down to earth. I was grateful for their great & friendly service and they even offered to bring my order to my car since I wanted to wait in my car. They have some regular customers now but could use more customers since they are a new business. Prices were reasonable with generous portions. Still need to try more plates but I'll give them a rating of 4.5 stars rounded up! Thanks for reading my reviews =)

Vince took our order and was patient with all our questions. Finally landing on the Combo plate with Korean fried chicken with dynamite sauce, and a huge piece of ahi tuna. It comes with a scoop of rice and we picked the macaroni salad. They also offer a lettuce salad. All for $19.95! The business model currently is carry out only, You get a text when your order is ready and out comes this generously filled clam shell of food. When the food is ready, you get a text, pick-up is on the kitchen-side, backdoor. We'd heard good things about their steak, dynamite chicken, and ahi katsu so we wanted to try all three. There is a chicken + meat combo that allows you to upgrade the meat to ribeye; we ordered this plate with all green salad. Then we ordered the King Kam ahi katsu with rice and upgraded the side to imitation crab salad. If you love sauce, this is for you. Their fried items are nicely cooked, the ahi katsu had a nice rare center and the boneless chicken was still juicy, but both lost their crispness under a mountain of seasoned soy sauce, Kewpie mayo, sriracha aioli, and sweet chili sauce. With the additional garlic, katsuobushi, furikake, and green onion, these are flavor bombs. The ribeye had a nice char from the grill. It's served with a side of crack sauce which has a vinegar, fish sauce base, plus chili, garlic and cilantro. The heat from the steak and chicken withered the bed of green salad underneath, so we didn't eat it; serves us right for not getting rice and mac salad with a plate lunch. At Kingz, more is more. If you are looking for a new plate lunch spot, check them out.

As soon as I opened the box, I was impressed by how generously stuffed the sandwich was with tuna, along with the large portion of chips on the side. The tuna melt was delicious, a flavorful tuna salad packed with pickles (I love pickles), served on perfectly toasted bread. Every bite was satisfying. The chips tasted fresh and homemade, and I even used some of the tuna that fell out of the sandwich as a dip for the chips, which was yummy! The staff was friendly, and I appreciated how easy it was to place an order by phone and pick it up without any hassle. Parking was also a breeze, plenty of stalls available next to the building, so there was no need to worry about finding parking. Overall, Leilei's is definitely a treat yourself type of meal. It's one of my favorite sandwich spots now!

I remember seeing French Dip on the menu back then so that's what I ordered for myself with a side order of fries. My husband ordered the Teriyaki Pineapple Burger with a side order of fries. We also ordered the chips and Fresh Clam Chowder to share. My thoughts: - French Dip on a French roll with truffle aioli, London broil roast beef, picante provolone, sautéed onions and mushrooms, and au jus: I enjoyed this! Lots of meat and the bun was soft which is how I like it. When I brought it home and opened the au jus container, I thought they didn't give enough BUT it was...whew! Since I ordered a lot of food, I could only eat half a sandwich...tomorrow's lunch. Yay! - Teri Burger with house made Patty, a pineapple ring with teri sauce, mayo, red onion and romaine lettuce on the side: My husband was skeptical about the pineapple but said it worked and would definitely order this again. - Both the fries and chips were a little too burnt and oily for us so we'd pass on this the next time. - Clam chowder: I was looking forward to this with the bread bowl but they no longer sell it with the bread. They said the bread they could get was too small that there wouldn't be much soup. I ordered the soup anyway. It was thick with lots of clams, bacon and potatoes...very tasty! We ate only half so another leftover for tomorrow...yay again! FYI: - Located on the corner of Mokauea Street and Hau Street - They have about 5 reserved parking stalls in front of the gray bldg on the Hau Street side - Offers Military and First Responder discounts - Charges 3.5% fee for credit card payment - Clam chowder available Thursday thru Saturday or until sold out - Condiments located in the small black refrigerator located on the right of the food truck I want to try their smash burger so I'll be back!

I constantly pass this obvious gray truck quietly parked right along Mother Waldron Park in the early hours like a silent nudge for some early morning fuel to start my day...no sign...no service window its like a secret club grinds. Assuming he used to sell Managua sadly none is to be found here but what you'll find is a great assortment of budge friendly items like donuts, pork hash, musubi, chicken and fried noodles. As I approach for my selection a gentleman was a delight ordering two pork hash 2/$1, fried noodles $3 and chicken $2...all was $6! Parked along the park you're able to take advantage to an impromptu picnic though we all basically take it togo as I did to work and fueled my morning for a productive work flow lol! The noodles are plain no cabbage or any veggies not even green onions just some sliced char siu and it was a bit dry but satisfied a hungry appetite, and the pork hash was a tiny single bite size tease and the chicken is similar to a chicken fried steak as it's boneless coated with mochiko it was okay and I was just happy to have a budge friendly choice to start my day. Thank you!
