On our way back to the car I decided everyone needed dessert so I stopped here to look and see what they had. Not sure if it's new, but they had PAVLOVA, which I've been missing ever since Neiman Marcus closed. They had this great fruit pavlova at Espresso Bar. We got the pavlova, and a parmesan chicken pot pie, & a chocolate pie. It was so cute and they had put it in a bag in a box in a bag so we could easily flip it over when it was time to eat. By the time we got home we had flipped the whole thing over because it was raining and we were carrying too many bags (oops) so it was so long beautiful, but after dinner two of us split it and it was SO GOOD with its pineapple, haupia, & lilikoi flavors. The chips tasted fresh and homemade, and I even used some of the tuna that fell out of the sandwich as a dip for the chips, which was yummy! The staff was friendly, and I appreciated how easy it was to place an order by phone and pick it up without any hassle. Parking was also a breeze, plenty of stalls available next to the building, so there was no need to worry about finding parking. Overall, Leilei's is definitely a treat yourself type of meal. I constantly pass this obvious gray truck quietly parked right along Mother Waldron Park in the early hours like a silent nudge for some early morning fuel to start my day...no sign...no service window its like a secret club grinds. Assuming he used to sell Managua sadly none is to be found here but what you'll find is a great assortment of budge friendly items like donuts, pork hash, musubi, chicken and fried noodles. As I approach for my selection a gentleman was a delight ordering two pork hash 2/$1, fried noodles $3 and chicken $2...all was $6! Parked along the park you're able to take advantage to an impromptu picnic though we all basically take it togo as I did to work and fueled my morning for a productive work flow lol! The noodles are plain no cabbage or any veggies not even green onions just some sliced char siu and it was a bit dry but satisfied a hungry appetite, and the pork hash was a tiny single bite size tease and the chicken is similar to a chicken fried steak as it's boneless coated with mochiko it was okay and I was just happy to have a budge friendly choice to start my day.
