    Dynamite Chicken and Rib eye
    Taryn L.

OHMG! The food from this small kitchen did not disappoint! First time trying here and I will definitely be back over and over! Parking is tight but we lucked out with an open space. We had ordered as they recommend on their website. I chose the Dynamite Chicken, and Rib eye steak. Oh man the chicken is so crispy and moist! It has a sweet chili sauce mixed with fish sauce but it's not overpowering at all. The flavor was very delicious! The Rib eye steak was cooked to perfection! Asked for medium rare and the steak was cooked correctly. So soft and seasoned just right! They give a special dipping sauce for a few dollars. That steak melted in my mouth. First time I tried an artificial crab salad instead of macaroni salad and it did not disappoint! This was an awesome experience! My boyfriend and I drove to a park to eat and enjoyed every bite!

King kam - ahi katsu plate

I went to this hidden gem yesterday because I found out about it from a local YouTubers channel that showcases this place. I ordered their New York steak and a co-worker ordered their King Kam plate which is their ahi katsu plate. Both were delish! My steak was tender and charred just right. Prices are really reasonable too!

We ordered Sisig, Lechon, ahi tuna, salmon, da Ali'i nui (rib eye steak), garlic fries and da sauce boss(chicken).

I couldn't believe how in love I was with EVERY dish. A hole in the wall spot, I would go to every time in Oahu. So flavorful and freshly made on the spot. 10/10 would recommend. The owner was so nice, and was able to make all 6 plates in 20 minutes.

I've been wanting to try them since they were just a food truck! Run by an old classmate of mine, Kingz Feast is amazing! Plate comes filled to the brim, I ordered the dynamite chicken and sisig combo. Sisig was amazing! Absolutely delicious and tender meat! Chicken was amazing as well! If you're looking for a hidden gem in Kalihi look no further than Kingz Feast Hawaii!

LOVE this place! Definitely hidden GEM, hole in the wall. We ordered a plate and side dish, it was enough for dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend. The service was efficient, made to order SOOO fresh. And the PRICE , you Definitely get your money's worth, best deal around.

I was at Richies Drive inn when I remembered to check out this place. It was about a couple lanes or two further down North King Street heading west and sure enough you can spot the cute food trailer in the parking lot. Did you know the family built this wooden cafe on the trailer together?! The Kids helped built this with the direction of their father. They are parked near the street in the shared parking lot with the Pawn shop & Jackson Hewett Tax Servive. It's across the Kapalama Post office but before the old Pizza Hut location and I think after Palace Saimin You would only see the cafe on the trailer from Tuesday-Friday from 11am -5pm. There are some picnic benches and chairs under the canopy tent while you wait. In the beginning they started out in Waimanalo but for now they are here in Kalihi. They are known for their Steak and Shrimp plate and their two huge pieces of boneless fried chicken. They have some regular items and some specials of the day. Best to call ahead and place your order. The fried chicken would take the longest about 10 minutes wait time. They have some other items which sounded good like pot roast pork which is not offered all the time, hamburger steak. Kalbi, loco moco, bbq chicken, etc. On a hot day, shave ice and slushies and slushes floats would be refreshing. They have lemonade and orange aid slushies , but I got an orange aid slushie float with ice cream. I decided to get the fried chicken since I had some time to wait. it was huge as the photos posted and it was $12! It was hot and crispy in a seasoned flour battered. I couldn't wait to take a bite as I was driving, but I just tried part of the fried batter. It was seasoned so it was a little salty for me perhaps I just ate the batter part. The chicken gravy given was really good but having two humongous boneless chicken, I may need more gravy than the large portion cup given. Chicken tasted better after pouring some of the gravy over it. The gravy was yummy and not the brown gravy, but the light tan gravy! I'm looking forward to try more dishes like the rib eye steak, pot roast pork or some other specials. Please support this family own business! Daily specials are posted on their Instagram page @cafeparkside808. They were so nice and down to earth. I was grateful for their great & friendly service and they even offered to bring my order to my car since I wanted to wait in my car. They have some regular customers now but could use more customers since they are a new business. Prices were reasonable with generous portions. Still need to try more plates but I'll give them a rating of 4.5 stars rounded up! Thanks for reading my reviews =)

On our way back to the car I decided everyone needed dessert so I stopped here to look and see what they had. Not sure if it's new, but they had PAVLOVA, which I've been missing ever since Neiman Marcus closed. They had this great fruit pavlova at Espresso Bar. We got the pavlova, and a parmesan chicken pot pie, & a chocolate pie. It was so cute and they had put it in a bag in a box in a bag so we could easily flip it over when it was time to eat. By the time we got home we had flipped the whole thing over because it was raining and we were carrying too many bags (oops) so it was so long beautiful, but after dinner two of us split it and it was SO GOOD with its pineapple, haupia, & lilikoi flavors. I would totally recommend these! Get two!

The crust was perfectly golden and flaky -- not soggy, not too thick, just that buttery, shatter-when-you-touch-it kind of crust. Inside was creamy, savory goodness packed with tender chunks of chicken and veggies that still had a little bite. It tasted homemade in the best way, like the upgraded gourmet version of something your favorite aunt would make. But the real surprise star? The strawberry banana custard pie topped with mochi. I did not expect to love this as much as I did. The custard was silky and not overly sweet, the strawberries added a fresh brightness, and the banana gave it that smooth, mellow flavor that tied everything together. And the mochi on top? Such a fun, chewy texture contrast that made every bite interesting. It somehow felt light and indulgent at the same time. Savory, sweet, creamy, chewy -- this place understands balance. I would 100% come back just for pie... and that says a lot.

I live up the street and take Mokauea to get to work everyday. Never went until my little bro said it was the best French dip he had. When he mentioned the white truck on the corner, I knew exactly which one. I've had their Benjamin sandwich and chowder before. But today, I really wanted a burger. Thought about this truck so I zoomed straight to there. Bacon was extra thick! The garlic aioli fries were to die for. This is also the first non-Mexican place I've seen have Jarritos as a drink. It's my favorite soda. It is a small area, so easy grab and go, but if you get a chance, eat under the umbrellas and enjoy some outside air. The owners are both super nice and charismatic. Very welcoming to the truck. Will definitely be back during my lunch breaks for work!

As soon as I opened the box, I was impressed by how generously stuffed the sandwich was with tuna, along with the large portion of chips on the side. The tuna melt was delicious, a flavorful tuna salad packed with pickles (I love pickles), served on perfectly toasted bread. Every bite was satisfying. The chips tasted fresh and homemade, and I even used some of the tuna that fell out of the sandwich as a dip for the chips, which was yummy! The staff was friendly, and I appreciated how easy it was to place an order by phone and pick it up without any hassle. Parking was also a breeze, plenty of stalls available next to the building, so there was no need to worry about finding parking. Overall, Leilei's is definitely a treat yourself type of meal. It's one of my favorite sandwich spots now!

I believe that they worker said, "I appreciate you!" Wow! That's very nice of him! We took the plate home (it was too windy to sit alongside the busy sidewalk) and discussed the tasty ribs, sweet (molasses?) Baked beans and yummy green beans with smoked turkey. Mmm! We stood there waiting until a staff member finally told us to "make ourselves comfortable." Things only got worse when we ordered. The man taking our order was extremely rude and dismissive. They refused to allow any simple substitutions, even though we explicitly stated we were willing to pay extra for them. The Food: We were thoroughly disgusted by the quality of the food and regret spending a single dollar here. Catfish ($30 Plate): Absolutely horrific. The fish was so mushy it had the exact consistency of warm oatmeal when I bit into it. I have never in my life had catfish texture like this. Charging $30 for a plate of this quality is unbelievable. Macaroni & Cheese: Beyond disappointing. It had a heavy layer of paprika dumped on top, zero cheese pull, and was totally lacking in flavor. Candied Yams: Decent, but honestly, it's hard to mess up yams. Philly Cheesesteak: When we opened the box, we honestly thought they forgot to put the filling in because the sandwich was completely flat. Inside was a single piece of processed meat--roughly the size of a chicken nugget--sitting on a bun twice its size. There was no cheese, no peppers, no onions, and no sauce whatsoever. Check the pictures attached to see what was actually served to us. This establishment does not warrant support.
