Got the steak & shrimp steak. Food was thinly sliced, plenty rice & salad included. They did leave the shrimp tails on though.

Simple, tasty, and quick! I got the bacon-wrapped shrimp and LEMME TELL YOU--I usually can't eat stuff like this because there's almost always soy or sesame, but not this time! I believe they said they marinate the shrimp in a little bit of mayo, but that's it. No allergens, no stress (for me at least). It was SO GOOD that I came back for another round before the night ended. Grilled fresh right in front of you--four shrimp on a skewer. The price point can't be beat either - only $6 per skewer! If you've got gluten or dairy food allergies or just love a clean, grilled skewer, don't miss this. Yummmmm!

We went to the What the Truck Event at Waikele Shopping Center. We were attracted to their tent by the intoxicating smoke coming off of their grills. There was a very organized line, but they had an awesome system that made it go very quickly. We ordered a sampling of their entrees. All were hot, fresh, and delicious. The pork belly stood out especially when paired with the tomatoes and onions. Oh my Umami!

I did choose to get the individual sticks (2 beef and 2 pork) though they can make it into a plate lunch as well.

BBQ skewers had a nice glaze and flavor--very similar to Filipino-style BBQ, which gave me a little taste of home. Ours weren't that hot since they had been sitting out for a bit, but still tasty. They have two sauces: Hawaiian BBQ and sweet & sour, both solid depending on your mood. The squid was just okay. They also had crispy spring rolls and fresh malasadas--nice options if you want something savory and sweet while walking around. Lowkey wish they had rice (that's just the Asian in me haha), but overall a good, quick bite while exploring the market.

Pay then go around the corner and squirt on some unlabeled sauces from a selection of a few (guessing is part of the fun), wrap in foil and go. The "huli huli chicken" juicy, smoky, well brined throughout tasting exactly like its true whole chicken counterpart. The garlic pepper pork, juicy, tender, flavorful. The garlic shrimp, shell on, smoky grilled flavor besting any North Shore shrimp truck. $6.50 each. Skewers only. No sides. No carbs. Better cook, quality, and flavor than almost any of its transient grilling competition. Solid.

With the recent flood happening at the end of March, and our trip being in early April, going to North Shore wasn't advised. While we have some great Hawaiian garlic shrimp spots in Arizona, we had to at least try to get some garlic shrimp while on Oahu. We gave this place a try just because we were already in the building. It wasn't a choice we made prior because honestly, I would have suggested trying a more well-known spot like two miles away, haha! We shared a $14 Shrimp with Original Garlic sauce on it and made it a combo with rice, a scoop of potato mac salad, and regular salad, $14 + $6. Sam's Kitchen was okay. I would have loved to have the shell-on but this place does not offer shell-on shrimp. Still, they make a decent garlic shrimp.

I've seen this place so many times and I've even been to their neighbor which is the rainforest cafe- (exceptional Italian cream soda / like egg soda) I love the Lilikoi tart they have there. This time I actually went to get something and didn't realize they do sell "Andagi" I also bought a small thing of okinawin yakisoba. And two pieces of sweet mochi Truly not a disappointment. In fact this has that very open Okazuya style of takeout most times it does have order ahead in there were a few people before I bought my food that had larger orders to pick up so it is recommended that you call them ahead of time. They're very gracious people that work in there they're very kind. They're very courteous and they're very quick with the order. I don't believe I saw the yakisoba in the menu, but I seen it when I got to the window and the mochi ball and Andagi are very close to the counter window I highly recommend anyone who is in and around the area for a quick grab on a local favorite of a Japanese doughnut to come to this spot because the andagi- is much to appreciate it's one of these things that we know here in Hawaii to have that nice texture, The nice first crisp bite into the donut and then it leads into that delicious sweet cake doughnut part in the middle what we know as a Japanese donut, this carries its respected delightful reality... stop by this place because for $1.00 a piece... it's a crowd pleaser... I should have bought 10 of those things.. it's delicious when fresh and they keep really well into the end of the day.. Also I would definitely go back for the yakisoba the way it's made is delicious and I am one of those people that loves a good entrée that won't have meat or sometimes not even a hint of meat and this noodle dish is very good. I love how the vegetables were intertwined into the noodles sort of just not perfectly chopped, but it is tangled into the noodles as if it was another soba noodle- the carrots, spring onions, and if you see the accompanying picture- cabbage & or chopped boy choy. Thank you Teruya's Andagi. I will return
