I went with my daughter because there was a groupon. Loved this location more than the teaneck one! Very clean and the ladies were so nice! They did a good job with the scrub etc, would have been nice to have a little more massage. Also, the nail color (actually wasnt the one i chose but thats fine!) but looks like its fading already. I got two different Groupon to try them out. I got the first one for 2 manicure and pedicure and the second one for 3 brazilian wax. The first one the girl was ok but I was not impressed on how they do the pedicure. I called first to make sure I was able to get the brazilian wax groupon and they said yes. When I went to do the brazilian, the person was very rude and a little nasty and told me that I was only supposed to do one Groupon but that she was going to honor it after I told me that I called first before I book it. She said that they didn't put 3 that it was a mistake but I told her that's what I paid and she agreed to do it. She also didn't do the whole brazilian like other places. She said if I wanted the wax in the back, that I will have to pay separately which was the first time I heard about it. I didn't leave with the best experience and now that I tried to get the last one they were saying that they didn't have the records for the mani-pedi and that I needed to text it to them and again when back to say that they didn't do it. I went in with zero expectations because it was an affordable Groupon deal, but this nail salon turned one full hour of my life into a nightmare. They clearly treat Groupon customers differently. There is a specific woman assigned only to Groupon clients, and they are only allowed on Saturdays. From the moment I walked in, she was rude, cold, and full of negative energy. She didn't even say hello -- she immediately told me to redeem my Groupon. The entire time, she kept scolding me: "don't move your foot," "put this here," "don't do that." I accidentally dropped the color chart, and the look she gave me was absolutely humiliating. I am 8 months pregnant and not in the mental state to argue with anyone, so I tried to stay calm. She cut my skin deeply and didn't apologize. Worse, she didn't even disinfect the wound with alcohol to prevent infection. When I asked her to, she continued giving me rude looks. It still hurts -- it is a very deep cut. I couldn't tolerate the attitude anymore and left before the service was finished, even though I had already paid. I had to hold myself back from crying. I won't even get into how filthy and unhygienic the salon was. If you hate Groupon customers this much, why are you advertising on Groupon at all? No one is forcing you to post deals. This is my second time coming here and I thought I'd give them another chance at doing my acrylics set even though I wasn't impressed the first time. It was a horrible experience and I will never be coming back. First, when you get acrylics they have to buff your nails. She was not only buffing my nail but also my finger. It was extremely painful and caused my skin to inflame. The second issue is she put the fake nail crooked on my pinky nail. I asked her TWICE to fix it but she refused. Lastly, I asked for coffin nails and my nails look like a joke. They aren't the coffin shape (which I'm pretty sure she charged me extra for) and each nail is a different shape. I have some squares, some coffin attempts and ovals. The worst place ever to get acrylics done. The only thing that's good here was my pedicure. I left with glitter all over my cuticles and skin. I have one nail a pink chrome other just plain white..I was told it would go away after a shower. Well, I like my nails to look nice when I leave.. not next day.. I went to a Resteraunt with my nails looking horrible..btw it took at least 3 days(i showered obvy). While cutting my cuticles I was bleeding 2x because she went to deep. I'm 4 days in and chrome look is fading, my nails are chipping and breaking. I went to the one on Cedar Lane, Teaneck NJ She told me it would be 25$ for wash, haircut, and blow dry! Depending on the length of her hair, it would be an additional 5$ added, due to length. Unfortunately, the young lady who did my nails was extremely inexperienced, did a horrible job with my cuticles and clearly did not know how to paint nails. This place is quite convenient to my house so I gave them a try they charged $45 for a fill with gel polish the Polish came off within 2 days I went back and they fixed it without any hassle and it came off again . I have been going to a new nail salon on Cedar Lane for about one month now. I loved the products, the customer service and the way the nail tech shaped my nails. The atmosphere was relaxed , positive and friendly. Today, I called for an appointment with my regular Person Gina. She was at the other location according to the person who called me back when no one answered my original call. I made an appointment to get my nails done at 4:30PM. I drove to the Bogota NJ location and parked my car. When I got there, Gina already had a customer and asked me to wait. Of course, I was in no rush. I waited about 20 minutes before she soaked & filed my nails. She was rushing, but agreed to do a pedicure for me as well. She realized that the polish we usually used was at the Teaneck location. I suggested that I go to the Teaneck location and let them finish my pedicure and polish my hands. I paid the special $25.00 and left. When I got to Teaneck from Bogota 5 minutes later, the daughter Samantha greeted me very coldly. She acted like I was interrupting her lunch or favorite show! I explained to her that Gina had filed my nails only after soaking them. She didn't cut my cuticles like she normally did. The daughter cut my cuticles and hurriedly painted my nails. When I asked her if she used quick dry, she looked at me and announced, "its $1.00 extra for QUICK DRY!" Right then, her mom came in and said something in Spanish to her. She left and her mom started my pedicure after making the now cold pedicure water warm again. Her mom Liza or Lisa (I asked her which one, but she just said call me whatever you like) gave me a pedicure while she lectured me that I had gotten two manicures in one day!!! How is that possible? I asked her is it my fault that Gina didn't finish? Not to get Gina in trouble, but I am paying for the service. Nia and Gina are usually here alone. It's a much more relaxed atmosphere. The owner Liza or Lisa is under at lot of stress with two locations, teens and a three year old adorable toddler named Cassandra! The daughter Samantha doesn't like doing nails or at least not that day. Her customer service skills need serious training. Gina is so busy she forgets her steps, but her personality and smile make you gently remind her and all is well. Not sure if I'm coming back next week. Love the products. Love Gina and Nia. Called to make an appointment for the first time in Bogota. No availability-they were able to accommodate me in the Teaneck shop. I entered and was greeted without any smile or sense of customer service. Instead I felt as if I was bothering them. I asked about a special rate I saw on a coupon in the shop. $25.00 for manicure and pedicure. Two of the girls spoke in Spanish after I asked. The pedicure and manicure were completed by a manicurist who did not make eye contact or smile the entire time. No massage to speak of and barely an adequate mani/pedi. When I went to pay, she stated that it was $27.00 and when I asked about the $25.00 special, she said it was for first time customers only and that she remembered me from the Bogota shop. I said okay if thats what you think so be it- and walked out. From now on I will stick to my regular manicurists in Tenafly. I would not have minded paying the 27.00 but it was more about the total lack of customer service. As if everyone was having a bad day...No way to run a business. read more
