If you are on the fence about this place like I was, RUN don't walk to another Chinese restaurant! Read the reviews on here and the vast majority say it is absolutely awful and I have to agree with them. By far, the WORST Chinese food that I have ever had in my whole life! Complete waste of money that ALL went into the garbage. Ordered the C6 Mongolian Beef combination that also comes with Chicken Chow Mein, an egg roll, and your choice of soup or salad. I requested the Mongolian Beef to be extra spicy and it was anything but! It was all charred and both tasted and smelled burnt. The Chicken Chow Mein was slimy and gooey with very stale tasting chicken that honestly seemed like it came from a different animal. The Hot & Sour Soup not only didn't look normal..it had an off-putting horrendous taste. The Fried Crab Cheese Puffs have hardly any cream cheese let alone crab. They are just a big fried tooth breaking hard PASS. Paid extra for a bag of crunchy noodles on the side and they literally tasted like dog food. As a matter of fact, even my dog refused this garbage after I did! Last was a side of their extra fortune cookies (12 pieces), that are just thrown in a flimsy white bag that must've expired a good five years ago...there was absolutely no flavor and they weren't crisp. It took Little Orient forever to make and have my order ready yet they weren't even busy. Horrible waste of time and money. So I'm still without dinner. DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

The food was so bad, I asked her if I could replace one of the sides because it was sooo salty and she refused and was rude about it. Do yourself a favor and steer clear!!! A big NO from me. Run down interior space, mainly onions and cabbage in your order. And their definition of chicken chow mein is cabbage and squash with one piece of chicken and no noodles just some fryer crunchy noodles like on top of Hawaiian hay stacks. I've been coming here for decades love the food I always order the same generals chicken so I have not come here since the pandemic so I came here and got my usual and it has changed as in the taste the sauce was gelatinous almost like it's been sitting it did not taste fresh and it was super thick meaning it's been sitting for so long that it has thickened up versus it being a little bit thinner and the hot and sour soup is seriously like super super super hot now not sure about the changes probably will not go back. We ordered $130.00 worth of food to feed our large family at the hotel we stayed in, but it was the WORST Chinese food I've ever eaten, very bland and greasy. When staying on Hill AFB, we flipped through the listing of local restaurants. Little Orient was the only place that delivered to base that was not pizza. We ordered the general tso's chicken and some fried rice. The meal was enough for us for the night and breakfast the next morning. We probably could have eaten it for lunch had we been somewhere to keep left overs. The fried rice was delicious and moist. The general tso's chicken was a good level of spice and more than plentiful. My only complaint was the delivery - for a place that delivers to the base you'd expect them to know their way around, but the delivery driver got lost for about 30 minutes. However, we greatly appreciated them taking the time to call us and be patient with us while trying to tell them where we were when we had no clue ourselves. Eventually we found our delivery driver running around the building and we were more than appreciative of them actually still delivering. read more

Amazing family run restaurant. Chef Gary is amazing and oversees every meal that comes out of the kitchen. The family atmosphere makes every very friendly and quaint. The walnut shrimp and the generals are amazinggggg. Don't be fooled by pessimistic reviews. This place is solid. read more

We've tried LO a couple of times in the past month and we're pretty impressed. The servings are large which my husband loves and the food ranges from average to really good. We've gotten the combination dinners which are soup or salad, chicken chow mein, rice, an egg roll, and one entree. We've tried Sweet & Sour chicken & pork, Cashew Chicken and Kung Pow Chicken. The Egg Drop soup is the best I've ever had. I love it! The egg rolls are also delicious! I don't normally like egg rolls but something about these is better than others I've had. The chow mein and rice are average. Good but not great. The three entrees we've tried are all very good. I like their S&S sauce more than any other I've ever had. It's not so thick and gloopy as most. The chicken in everything is good - non fatty, non gristley. Some places use the icky bits of chicken and it's just gross but LO uses the good chicken. We live close enough to go pick up our order so we haven't used take out. We are now regular customers. read more

I eat at Little Orient often, and recommend them. I think it's a husband and wife team that run it, and the food is consistently good. I have definitely had better than Little Orient, but I have also, definitely, had worse. I'm not a huge fan of the Chinese classics here - sweet and sour, beef and broccoli, egg drop soup, etc. But the pan fried noodles are amazing. As are their potstickers. We used to love this place, but yesterday for lunch we had what looked and tasted like warmed over shrimp lo mien from the fridge; nothing but greasy noodles, a few shrimp and literally no veggies. I eat Chinese food for the vegetables and if these people are skrimpping on the veggies because of cost, big mistake. The rice was lukewarm, as was the tea. We've been meaning to check this place out for quite a while. That last time I had eaten at that location was many moons ago when it was a Dairy Queen. We went there with a group of four. We have been looking for a good chinese restraunt and this did not disappoint. We loved their house fried rice and the sweet and sour pork was delicious! I loved that they serve the sauce on the side , so the chicken wasnt soggy by the time we got home. Ordered a delivery, set to come @ 530. 30 mins later called to see why it wasn't there and they said the drivers car had broken down. They said they hadn't started cooking it yet so we wouldn't have to pay for it. Good thing we didn't "have" to pay for it if it showed up 60 mins late.
