Great spot for some Chinese food…read more I was visiting some friends in Utah and they were really excited to take me to this restaurant. They said it was their favorite in town and that I just had to try it so I was really excited for it. When we arrived, we didn't realize, but it was prom night and so a lot of kids were dressed up in there prom outfits. Because we made a reservation, we were seated quickly. The server was really friendly and very helpful, very knowledgeable of the menu. We decided to do it, Family style and ordered a couple different things to share. We started off with an order of their Dumplings, then ordered cashew nut chicken, beef, and broccoli, and fried rice. The Dumplings were really big and fresh, so that was super good. The flavor was really nice. The cashew chicken was so good! The sauce that they used in the flavors were really good. The beef and broccoli was also yummy. The sauce with the seasonings that they chose, tasted like your traditional beef and broccoli. The fried rice was also very traditional. Definitely something you would expect. Overall, all the food had really great quality and tasted exactly how you would think so. I definitely think if you're looking for Chinese food in Utah, this is a great place to start.

Sad day: Very disappointing experience tonight. Between the 4 of us, we've probably spent a…read morecombined 100 years dining at Mandarin, which made this experience even more frustrating. We ordered 4 entrees family style to share at the table. Three dishes came out fairly quickly, but the 4th dish didn't arrive for nearly 30 minutes. Since we were all sharing the meal, we eventually ate the three dishes while waiting, and by the time the final entree arrived, the meal was basically over. When we brought the issue up to the manager, instead of focusing on customer service or finding a reasonable solution, we were met with excuses. She said, "If I take it off the bill, I have to take it off the table." That completely missed the point. We ordered the dish because we wanted it as part of our meal -- we weren't asking for it to be taken away. After making us wait 30 minutes while the rest of the table had already finished eating, the obvious customer service move would have been to acknowledge the inconvenience, comp the dish, and still let us enjoy what we ordered. Instead, Tess focused on explaining "owner policy" rather than taking care of a customer issue. After decades of loyalty to Mandarin, it was genuinely disappointing to experience such inflexible and poor customer service over something that should have been handled far better. By the way Amber our Server was great

This location will be dearly missed and we are hoping for a new location to open soon. The favorite was the walnut shrimp, crispy and in a cozy savory sweet sauce. And I'm really puzzled by the high ratings of this place here on Yelp. I had the sautéed beef, which is listed as "Sa Ti" on the menu, so when it was brought out and announced as "sautéed beef," I was a bit confused. While the vegetables were decent, the beef was tough and from the flavor was a cheap cut. The hoisin sauce was not thick enough and a bit too runny like maybe water added.(?) This also made the flavor weak. After the first disappointing bite of beef, I only picked at the vegetables. I didn't finish it nor did I ask for a take home box. In my opinion, looking over at the people at my table (I was at a club meeting), everything looked on the cheap side. They all seemed to enjoy their meals, though. The portions are huge, so you'll get a lot of mediocre food. The service was OK. We were a large party of about 45. They knew beforehand we were coming. We noticed that even though our table was first to order, we were one of the last to get our food. One person at our table got her food significantly later than we did. There was one table that still didn't have their food when we got our checks. Water refills were never checked and neither was my soda. The Dr. Pepper was good... 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Very nice place, friendly staff and fantastic food…read more We came around 11:30 and it wasn't crowded. After being seated we received a nice small salad for starters, very fresh and tasty dressing. Ordered off the LUNCH menu and started with fresh spring rolls (our personal favorite), I ordered chicken Pad Thai and my husband ordered mixed veggie stir fry with chicken (without rice) and the BEST Thai ice tea anywhere!!! The shrimp spring rolls were HUGE, very fresh and excellent. Pad Thai was fresh and tasted so delicious. Took home half because the spring rolls were huge and so filling. The mixed veggie stir fry with a side of another salad instead of rice he said was terrific. If you have not been here you are missing a great meal, all for under $30!! Where can you find an excellent meal for that price and sit down with calm music to listen to..

I found the food at "Thai In Town" in Bountiful to be mediocre at best. In regards to "authentic…read moreThai", this place just definitely isn't it. I tried their Garlic and Pepper Stir-Fry (with steak), cream cheese wonton appetizer (comes with 6 total), and their Thai Iced Coffee. The Garlic and Pepper Stir-Fry comes with a fried egg which sadly was the whole highlight of the entree (the fried egg was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious). Sadly, the dinner entree was more of a lunch entree in regards to portion size, and came across more like beef stew down to the thick dressing. Though I requested the spiciest authentic Thai heat level, it definitely didn't have much spice other than a bunch of ground pepper strewn about. You do get your choice of either Jasmine White Rice or Brown Rice with the entree. I went with brown, and that was a huge mistake. Completely bland. Tasted like cardboard. No flavor, no aroma, no nothing! It was gross to say the least and got tossed immediately after one bite. The Cream Cheese Wonton appetizer was actually pretty good and well stuffed; though the included "Chili Sauce" appeared to be nothing more than oil, vinegar (definitely had a strong aroma of it), and a few chili flakes. Fortunately the wontons were flavorful enough and didn't really need much dressing. The Thai Iced Coffee was the smallest that I've ever received. Put it next to a 12 oz can, and as you can see in the photo, definitely much smaller than a 12 oz regular canned beverage. I also had requested "low/minimal" ice and it had a cupful of it. Overall was not super impressed with this restaurant but it also wasn't exactly the worst that I've ever tried or had. Would I try them again? Probably. Just not any time soon.

If you're going to put "YUM" in your name, you better deliver. And misoYUM definitely delivers …read more.. right to your front door ... or, more accurately, to the front door of the business park you work at. misoYUM is another entry in the "cup bop" craze and, thank sweet baby Jesus, they've brought new, mouth-watering flavors to the mix. For those unaware, Cupbop (aka"cupbob", "cup bob", etc.,) hails from Asian roots. As "taco" describes a wide variety of Mexican ingredients mixed a wide variety of ways into a succulent, savory Mexican dish, Cupbop describes one of many Asain culinary mashups. First piece of advice to newbies: MIX IT UP! When you receive your food, piled high in a hybrid Chinese food takeout/ cupbop cup, take your fork and mix it up. A lot of the sauce and meat is near the top. The next layer: Veggies, crisp and fresh lettuce and veggies. At the bottom? Rice. The more you mix, the more the flavors dance on your tongue. Second: You can pick more than one sauce. I'm an addict to the sweet, but I'm guessing most will want it mixed up a bit. However, if you're into the sweet side of Asian cuisine, you're in for a treat with the Sweet Honey Soy Sauce. YUM, indeed! Along with the sweet honey soy sauce, you can have the Mild Spicy Mayo, the Medium Asian Chili, or the Hot Sriracha Wasabi (that will simultaneously punch your nose ... and your tongue, but mmm mmm, good!). Here are your main choices in cup: Chicken (honey-glazed), Pork (red-pepper), Pot-Sticker (pork and veggie), Veggie (all ingredients, sans meat), and the one I tried one my first visit, The Combo Cup. All I have to say, of course, is YUM! I loved the sweetness of the chicken, the subtly spicy pork, the little mini pot stickers, and I love, love, love the glass noodles. Food trucks are a little out of control these days, charging sit-down meal prices. Not so with misoYUM, in-and-out at $8. And quick service! I hope the Centerville-based food truck comes down to SLC more often ... I need to continue getting my YUM on!

Our waitress was attentive during our order, I found the advertised "19.99 per person" feast to be perfect for us ! Only to find that there is small text stating that the $19.99 per person pays for one appetizer for the table ?? The advertisement insinuates that it includes the appetizer per person until you read the small text... I did find that people passed us multiple times with water while we sat with half empty cups for a lot of our meal. Our crab rangoon was room temp/cold and -in my opinion - completely lacking in flavor. My boyfriend didn't even realize there was cream cheese in them. The sauce was great but I felt like I had to drown every bite in the sauce in order to get good flavor payoff. We received our two soups. The egg drop soup is well made and flavorful ! The hot and sour soup was flavorful and had a lot of texture which was nice. However, at the bottom of my egg drop soup, I found an odd shaped and gelatinous blob...upon asking, the waitress wasn't even sure what it was. And I had bitten into it thinking it was a part of the soup !! Until I looked up what is in their soup out of curiosity and GELATINOUS BLOB WASN'T AN INGREDIENT. Our entrees were warm and flavorful ! I loved my pf changs spicy chicken. I loved the crunch and different textures that came with the sauce on the spicy chicken. My boyfriend's Mongolian beef was flavorful but I did find it to be a bit salty for my taste. He did have pieces at the bottom of his entree that were extremely overcooked bits of beef. They were so hard that he had to spit out a bite because he couldn't get through it. We completed our meal with a peanut butter and chocolate cream pie dessert. It was okay, truly nothing outstanding to say about it. Overall, I was disappointed in my visit today at PF Chang's - considering I have had a good experience at this location in the past. But that was over a year ago and I'm not sure what has changed since then. With how much money you spend at PF Chang's, you expect quality food and service and I found neither of those things in my visit today.
