So on our road trip back home we stopped in Eugene for a bite. Ordering is easy; they have a simple menu. The hardest part was selecting your favorite cheese for the cheeseburger. I had my cheeseburger with pepper jack (and now I want to try it with chèvre!). Burgers come with lettuce, pickle, catsup, and red onions. I normally don't like raw onions, but the red onions were on the sweeter side. The burger patties are cooked medium unless you tell them otherwise; I got mine done medium well. The patty was still tender and juicy. The truffle fries were crispy and not super greasy. They also had just the right amount of truffly goodness on them -- some places use way too much truffle oil/salt on their fries. You'll definitely want your own order. And when it comes to dipping sauces LBB has catsup and fry sauce (one part catsup, one part mayo). I liked dipping my burger in the fry sauce. Heyo! ...if you like the house catsup you can even buy a bottle to go! These are the cutest burgers you will ever eat. Don't let the size fool you either; one burger is filling! read more

They have a good selection of cheese including chevre, and the TRUFFLE FRIES [capitalized by me, not my husband] are excellent. You can add bacon on your cheeseburger, and in fact they will try to up-sell you on the bacon. Their cash register screen even says "Bacon!!!!!!!!!". Obviously I had no choice but to add bacon. The hamburger buns are really good, sort of a crusty hard roll type of bun. Not really hard, but crusty and home made. The patties are thick but small. So long over due is this review. This is my absolute favorite place for burgers. I love that you can get your meat "pink" here. The first time here the price threw me off a bit for a slider but once you try this burger you will realize it is not really your traditional slider. This burger joint serves up a flavor packed little "BIG" burger. They are very filling. So as if the burgers were not amazing enough they have the best french fries I think I have ever had. They are Truffle Oil french fries, and man are they ever what I dream about in a french fry before I came to this place. To top all of this greatness off they have this home made fry sauce that I just can not get enough of. I have recently also tried the Veggie burger per Yelp reviews and was very impressed with it. I strongly suggest when getting a burger here, you get bacon on your burger. My boyfriend and I came here yesterday for the first time. We walked in and it wasn't busy. No one in front of us, no one behind. It was around 1:30pm. We had never been here before so we stood back looking at the menu. The girl behind the counter was rude, impatient, unhelpful. She seemed annoyed as she took our order. We got cheeseburgers, fries, drink. Sat down and waited for our food which didn't take too long. The first bite was crazy. I'm so mad at myself for not coming here the couple years it's been open! I've been missing out! The fries were absolutely to die for....and their catsup? OH MY, died and went to heaven! For anyone who knows what spicy ketchup from Whataburger is, this is really similar! What a tiny, tasty, and magnificent burger this establishment offers up! Over the last few months I've overheard my friends debating the merits of Little Big Burger's... uh, burger - so I thought what the hell, I'll give it a shot. The interior of the restaurant is pretty straight forward with spartan aesthetics and enough seating for say 35 people. Like many of the other newly opened burger joints in town, the food is cooked in the open a few feet behind the main counter. The menu itself has six maybe seven items to choose from. Essentially a glorified (and greasy) slider, boy did that little devil deliver. The patty was savory and sear-sizzled, with all the fixings loaded on after. Because the portions aren't 'Murica-sized, it hit the spot just right without leaving me feeling bloated after. The fries, made from Yukon gold potatoes and boiled in truffle oil, are truly top notch and probably some of the best I've had in Eugene. The shocking part was that ordering both of these delicious items together cost me less then seven dollars. That's a steal for food of this quality! Considering the outstanding flavor and cheap cost, you'd be hard pressed to find a better (and tastier!) burger value around town. I most certainly would recommend trying this place out! read more

I don't eat my fries most of the time at places but these are like the saying of once you pop a can of pringles you can't stop! Ya that's it! I hate soda but hey if a root beer float is involved ok, and they have a killer one. The customer service rocks! I went in one time and had ordered probably $35 worth of food and the debit card machine broke down on the person in front of me and I only had $10 cash. The manager gave me the food for free. I said are you sure? I was willing to get money out of an ATM. They said it was fine so I tipped them the $10 I had in cash. I hope I made their night as much as they made my night. Aww, I was hoping that this would have been better. Still, it wasn't bad in any way, as some of the other reviews would lead one to believe. "Well allow me to retort!" as Jules Winnfield from Pulp Fiction would say. I received a gift certificate for Father's Day, and finally went here today. Service was fast enough, and very friendly. Place was clean, no complaints. In fact, I really have NO complaints at all about LBB........just wishes for betterness. I had an Oregon blue cheese burger with bacon, a Tillamook cheddar burger, and split an order of fries with truffle oil with two other folks. I'll start with the burgers. The buns were very good. Dang, I love a rich brioche bun like that...they are great for soaking up juices, and stand up to a big juicy patty. And they were toasted perfectly! Unfortunately, their services were not needed here, as the puck of a patty was neither juicy, nor big. That brings me to the meat of it. Heh...Organic, yes. Fine. Not necessarily a feature that I'd go out of my way for. In the immortal words of the great Dom DeLuise playing Caesar in the movie _History of the World Part 1_, "Nice. Nice. Not THRILLING, but nice." Sadly, the patty looked like a hockey puck. It was well charred from the flattop on the outside, cooked medium on the inside. Upon examination and consumption, there was no discernable juice in the little guy. Oh sure, his friend lettuce was shredded nicely and made a valiant effort to disguise His Puckness' lack of moisture, as did the delicious red oinions cut into thin pieces about an inch long. Pickles were just OK - but I am an admitted pickle snob, having won a Blue Ribbon at the Lane County Fair for our homemade Kosher-style dills. The sum of all the parts made for a two-and a half star burger, and the friendliness and cleanness of the place brought it up to the three star that I gave it. The fries were really edible...and remained crispy throughout the meal, even with the fry sauce and house catsup, "Camden" brand. Camden catsup has a little zing of heat in it brought to you by what I like to call vitamin C (which is capsaicin, the heat one finds in chile peppers) The strange "truffle oil" was tasty, and I loved it at first, but I'm still belching it up a couple of hours later and getting tired of the taste. When I walked in, I was pretty excited to try this place. Unfortunately, it fell a little short of my expectations. On the burger, the party was a bit dry and the brioche was chewy. Instead of tasting fresh, the lettuce tasted wilted. You know... When you take a bite and the lettuce is kind of soggy and you start to question if it was ever crisp in its lifetime. Tastes different, but site if truffle oil because let's The fries were pretty good. They say they use truffle oil, but hey let's be honest: for a $3 order of fries, I'm sure the truffle oil isn't super high quality. Nonetheless, they were still crunchy without being overly cooked and still a little soft on the inside. Root beer float: vanilla bean and fountain root beer. Pretty straightforward, but I enjoyed it. Tucked behind a grocery store is a little jewel of a place. We went about 7:30 pm on a Sunday. Raining outdoors @ the time. Inside was an open kitchen, small menu board , 8-10 tables, soda machine & register. Nothing fancy... Ordered a burger w/ Goat Cheese for my wife, I ordered the burger w/ Bleu Cheese, added Truffle Fries & 2 Root Beer Floats. ( Tillamook Vanilla ) Burgers fit in your hand, cooked Medium, ( perfect ) Fries were Hot, Crispy & Salty! They put the Ice Cream in the bottom of a cup & you add Root Beer. Food was fresh, hot & very tasty!!! 3 people working w/ few customers. Would have been 5 Stars but w/ 3 people & not a big customer count the place could have been kept up better. Hands down, my favorite burger joints in Eugene. Though it may look small, this 1/4 lb. burger is packed with pure happiness. Coming straight out of the kitchen, you can taste how good the beef is and how fresh the vegetables are. Everything put into this burger, the lettuce, onions, pickles and the catsup sauce was well thought about. The veggies, hamburger, and the brioche buns complement each other with every bite. This will be one of the juiciest and "cutest" burgers you will ever eat. Adding to the hype, their truffle fries are DELICIOUS. Though I wish it had just a little more truffle oil, these bad boys are the reason why I crave Little Big Burger. I see a few people complaining about spending $4 on a small burger, but $6.75 for a burger and fries isn't that bad for me. After some good reviews I decided to go to Little Big Burger with my wife and the first thing we noticed is that any parking near is metered, but you can dare to park in nearby businesses that have signs plastered everywhere stating restricted parking. This place is hyped up with a bit of new age hipster vibe, but lacks substance behind the hype. The sandwich is tiny... I rather pay a tad bit more and get a bigger burger, because one just doesn't hit the spot if you are going in hungry. However, the truffle fries were good and their house brand ketchup had a good kick. We had the veggie burger and it was fried... kind of made the outside to crunchy and felt more like a falafel than a burger. There was nowhere to sit and the line stretched outside. I thought they were giving away money. The menu is tiny and so are the burgers which still has me curious as to why the place is so popular. I get that people love their mega burgers, but that's most definitely not me. I prefer smaller portions and not feeling like I ate an entire cow. That said, LBB serves up 1/4 lb burgers -- which is pretty standard -- so I'm not sure what the complaint is. That said, LBB is so much better when you come here during slow hours. Your burger won't come out burned, and the employees are far more affable. My last visit was immediately after UO's spring football game. Not only was the place obviously packed, but food was subpar, and the employees all seemed pretty irate. Of course, when only three of you are handling lines out the door, I would be pretty irate too. So yes, decent flattop cooked burgers, lots of cheese choices, and truffle oil-soaked fries. A meal for two will run you about $14. Definitely one of my favorite spots to eat when in Eugene. read more

I had high hopes for this little burger spot, however, I was a little disappointed once I finally got the opportunity to try it. Nice little spot good location on campus everything seem to clean and in order when I walked in. Workers were obviously a little young, however, professional. Burger took over 15 minutes to get, a little long in my opinion but I didn't mind waiting. I watch them cook the burger, the poor guy cooking at stabbed it 1 million times looking at the temperature and I saw him flip it at least 10 times back-and-forth, With my hope slowly fading. The burger was barely bigger than my palm, and had over 8.50 this didn't seem like a good deal. About the only good thing I can say about the burger was the cheese was good and the bun was good. Unfortunately, the burger was completely dry and lacked any beefy flavor. The phrase look decent, but I didn't try them for the fact that the burger was already $8.50 and the fries cost another $3.00 and then you still need a drink. I think this place could be good if they sees in their meat better and had a better line cook at the meet station. LBB could use a little more emphasis on the little, as opposed to the big. The name is super apropos and somewhat clever once you get your meal. Paying full price for a bugger small like this is a little disconcerting. I would have been upset, if the burger wasn't actually good. This was probably my third burger in 2 days, and it did not disappoint. The patty was cooked the way I liked it (always a plus) and the toppings were great quality. The only thing holding it back was its size. I felt unsatisfied from it on the walk back home, like I could have eaten more. I was however so very happy when I dug into my fries. I'll admit to a secret: I don't know what truffle oil is. However, could I please have it on all my fries? I loved loved loved these French fries. I'm sad that I will probably never find myself in Eugene Oregon again, because I would visit for just a basket of these scrumptious potatoes.
