Wow. This USED to be a good place. Roast beef was dry!! French dip was a small CHUNK of beef with no cheese. Chicken stripe were a joke, 2 small stripe. Bake potatoes...looked way overcookedand it was, we didn't eat them. Lions Choice was one of the last fast food place that you could count on a quality meal from. NO MORE! We discovered this chain while visiting St. Louis. At first glance it seemed a lot like Arby's, but once we had our food we realized it was much better! Try the Italian Beef or just the plain roast beef sandwich. Both were great and the french fries were cooked perfectly! We ate inside the restaurant, which was very clean with a very friendly staff. Food is trash I just ordered a large sandwich and original with cheese waited for the order to get meat on bread that is not warm enough to melt the cheese. It's old meat being served and as I told them I'm highly offended you would serve me this as a customer. AMAZING EXPERIENCE TODAY! This was our first time going to a Lions choice and we'll definitely be back! We're from out of town and are staying at the hotel across the parking lot. We had a terrible storm hit and no one was delivering and when I called them they were closing but offered to wait for us to make it to them! I asked for any recommendations and the manager (I think his name was Jason) gave us some samples of the roast beef (it was delicious) and we all got roast beef meals. I can't recommend them enough. The manager and staff member working were incredibly friendly and helpful! The location was also clean and there were a lot of food options. read more

This place has gone down hill..... Sandwiches are either well done and dry or rare and cold Buns are stale. The new company who bought out Lions Choice has ruined the brand and the management of this place has not trained the workers on how to properly prepare them or they just dont care. So is it just this location or has anyone else noticed that since lions choice got purchased by new corporate owners, that the size and quality of their sandwiches has gone down. I just ordered $56 worth of sandwiches and was very disappointed. The regular roast beef looked like a kids sandwich. Not much beef at all. The king beef with extra meat was great but it's like they force you to buy the big sandwich or the extra beef or you'll be totally disappointed.The regular fries did not fill the container. I ordered 5 fries- they were all shorted. Again, if you don't pay extra for a large fries you won't get a full order. The Italian beef has also gotten smaller. Ordered one sweet and one hot and of course they got it wrong. So, I am curious to see from others - like this if you agree or tell me it's only this location. I find the same disappointment at the Sullivan location. Also - now corporate owners trying to be all things to all people. Menu expands with New chicken sandwich, chicken and rice soup, pulled pork etc. they are not paying attention to the beef that put them on the map. Don't cheap out on your base customers. read more

Ok, I'm back again on another business trip and I have been been in the drive through line for a GOOD 5 minutes. I can only assume the guy in front of me is ordering a WHOLE cow! Finally, my turn... The guy at the window immediately apologizes for the delay. I ask about the whole cow thing... He didn't get it. Then he hands me the food. Two kings and a shake.... Which is so full the lid won't deal. Chocolate is running down the sides and onto the car seat. I look at him because I know he sees what's happening, he apologizes again and hands me napkins!! Really!! How about take it back and try again. Your killing me smalls. I'm done... Back to Arby's. YELP said try it... So I'm there. I walk in and it clean Service is quick The cashier asks small... Med ... Large or KING! Oh... I have to go there. I say bring it. Shake? Oh Yeah! What I get is... A roast beef sandwich the size of a regular McDonald's hamburger. This place puts Arby's to shame. DELICIOUS roast beef, that actually looks and tastes like roast beef. The fries were decent, midpack at best. I was actually very disappointed with the size of my sandwich though, see the picture that I added. That was supposed to be their large size, and it was the size of about 4 ketchup packets. Their Blizzard like desserts, I think they were called a Concrete, was pretty good. The guy in the drive through line was friendly, and my order was accurate and fast. I've been to Lion's Choice before, but this was my first time trying here. It was The worst excuse for roast beef I've ever seen! I had to take it home and try to heat up what seemed to be totally raw. I was actually afraid to eat it, making me sick possibly? I wouldn't even feed it to my dog! I won't be coming back. Imagine if Arby's produced food that is actually delicious. Lion's Choice does roast beef sandwiches and does them quite well. I've had their beef sandwich with and without cheddar, both options are tasty. I prefer without and just a dash of their horseradish sauce, which is available along with two types of bbq, a chipotle ranch, pickles, onions, and other peppers, all free of charge to dress your sandwich. I also find their fries to be excellent and have a great natural potato taste usually missing with fast food. Don't want fries? How about veggie sticks as a healthy option. To further distinguish themselves from other roast beef restaurants the meat is sliced fresh for each sandwich right in front of you. You won't get a sandwich that has been sitting under a lamp, it's all fresh. I only wish this was a larger chain than regional. read more

Being relatively new to the St. Louis scene, I was not familiar with this local chain and didn't try them right away. I figured it was just an Arby's knockoff for this region. Boy, I was wrong! Much tastier and less processed than Arby's. Clean, reasonably priced and quality fast food. Also, if you are watching your beltline, check out the nutritional info on this place. You can have a large fresh roast beef sandwich with a baked potato and not blow up your calorie intake. Give them a try if you haven't already. read more

Love Lions's Choice, normally. Just went out of our way to grab a quick meal after soccer game on the way home and still sitting in drive through waiting for the attendant to get sauces (au jus, horse radish, etc.), after we had to request following getting our meal. We were handed our bag as if to "scram" and when my husband asked for sauces, we were looked at as if that was a crazy request. Franchise owner, I recommend you manage this a bit closer. In fairness, I'm sure the food might be OK, but service was surprisingly awful. read more
