This seems to be a love it or hate it establishment. The fries were fresh and good. The mushroom swiss was bland, like not even salt on the burger. And there was so much grease/butter on the bun top, that you could not grip the burger. The music is louder than a conversation can be held. They were pretty crowded for 2pm on a Saturday. read more

I've been here before. I heard about them on Instagram and decided to try the place out. I ordered a Shaggys Original, which is a double burger with a side of fries, and it's become my go-to order. I'd rate it 8/10. If you're not a burger fan they also have salads and chicken sandwiches as well as milkshakes if you're a sweets person. The service is usually quick depending on when you go and how busy it is but the people at the counter are nice. The ambiance is a mix of nostalgia with TVs playing old and somewhat newer cartoons it has SpongeBob, TMNT, and a Studio Ghibli movie playing with lots of plushies of popular characters ranging from anime to video games. It's a great place to visit and it's a sit-down place as well but you have to order at the counter. But definitely visit and form your own opinion. read more

We finally made our way to DoShaggy's for lunch. The original location was apparently in St. Peters but is now located in the Dierberg's Shopping Center in St. Charles. The menu features build-your-own 1/4 lb smash burgers, signature double-stack smash burgers, chicken, sides, and shakes. For my first visit, I went with the Shaggy OG burger, which had American cheese, grilled onions, pickles, and Shaggy Sauce, a mayo-BBQ combo. The fries were excellent and fried in beef tallow, giving them great flavor. Service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant was neat and clean, even with the 90s grunge/graffiti vibe. On my next visit, I'm planning to try the cheesesteak, which I was told is really good. Glad to have a solid burger joint in this part of town. read more

Have Tried this place 3 times. Out of those 3 times, one time i was missing items and the 2nd my order was not accurate. things happen. I ignored the missing item. however when i ordered delivery and i get it and Plain suddenly becomes fully loaded, missing burger patty added bacon. I'm sort of done, especially when the receipt on the bag shows what i ordered. I called the store and got a girl who seemed high. I advised of the issue and got told to come up and get another burger. At the time i was working and could not step away, hence i ordered delivery. I advised the same and was then told she was not authorized to do refunds and that she would notify the store manager to call me the next day. Needless to say, that did not happen. 66% failure to provide what i ordered. The food is great when you get it and can eat it. ------------------- Update: The owner responded to the review and it was either deleted or removed. Instead of reaching out to discuss he decided to attack me in writing. I will post screenshots of this shortly. As the email was a preview. I have engaged google to get the full review. I called the store and talked to a manager, which has customer service skills. We chatted and i left a message for the owner - Matt Cartwright... If i don't hear back, ill gladly spend my time review bombing this business. I have been nothing but polite and respectful to all staff i have spoken too. Clearly this owner is unprofessional and inexperienced in business. He lacks the ability to be respectful to the customers that support his business. I have made sure all friends, co-workers and family are aware of this. Its a shame as i was referred to them by mouth of word. We've gone twice now. Both times the workers were very friendly and attentive, including the kids in the ordering and conversation and also being respectful to my husband and I. The first time we went I did not love the burger. I felt like the butter on the bun was not good. My husband liked all of it. My son loved the chili. We went a second time and everything was absolutely delicious. Baby loved the grilled cheese. I liked tHE AG burger, husband got the spicy burger, and son got the chili. First visit here to try a burger. The young lady at the register was very patient and answered all my questions before placing my order. I ordered the build your own single burger + egg, tomatoes, onions, mayo, mustard, pickles. It was very tasty and the meat was seasoned good. I would say the meat to bread ratio was off as I could barely find the meat. If you don't add an egg make sure to order a double. But even then I still think it would be too much bread. My daughter ordered the cheese steak mafia combo. I like Penn station better but it was a solid sandwich and fries were seasoned so I didn't have to add salt. I initially saw this place on TikTok and realized how close it was to work. I decided to try it. I got a double burger with my choice of toppings. I didn't realize how big they were so I could have done a single. My eyes were bigger than my appetite. The burger was made to order so it wasn't dry or overly seasoned. They actually melted the cheese instead of just placing it on there which I liked. Honestly in my opinion it was good and way better than a Culver's burger and bigger in size. I also got the onion rings and which were good. The only issue I had was I only got like maybe 6 onion rings they were decent in size but for almost $5 I felt like maybe getting more bang for your buck. Well this place is a dive. And that's half the fun of eating in! My Shaggy Original was excellent. I think it's two smash burger patties, but it was hard to tell the style under the toppings. Regardless, the patties were large and crisped on the edges with a good beefiness. Toppings were generous, sloppy, and tasty. Onion rings also were crispy and well made. Confession - When my tray came out, the onion rings were spread out on it, and looked meager to me for the price. I mentioned this to the server and he was very nice about it but couldn't do anything. The wife said it looked to me like it was a good amount. So I looked again, and it was 6 good size onion rings, probably more than in say a White Castle order. It was just that they were spread out which made them appear sparse. 10/10! Awesome spot- kind of hidden near Mid Rivers Mall Dr. They just opened 2 months ago. Great menu with something for everyone. We tried the Spicy AF, flippin frisco (with a triple), Reuben, and cheese steak mafia. Also tried the fries and onion rings. The sandwiches absolutely knocked it out of the park. Super fresh, good portion sizes, and fast! They were all fantastic. Onion rings were crispy and great! Fries were okay- would be even better if they double fried them- they were standard size and not super crispy. This would be the only thing I would change!! Lots of seating inside and bathrooms. They have a water station and bottled soda options. They also have a large parking lot. Atmosphere is fun and funky- graffiti and skateboard garb- love it. Prices were more than fair. We talked to I think the owner? and recommended the addition of milkshakes in the future and he said they will be rolling these out soon as well as alcohol!!! Talk about a mind reader. What a great burger. I chose the Flippin Frisco, because I rarely pass up a Frisco melt. Loved the sauce. My bread could have been a bit more toasted, but I get that it might be my preference or it was busy and things happen. Fries were hot and crispy. The service was friendly and pretty quick. I enjoyed the music they played while we dined. And the free drink refill is always appreciated. I'm looking forward to going back and trying more things on the menu! read more

You know those amazing finds with familiar but delicious food? This is one of those. Burgers, fries, etc. done really well. I was trying to put my finger on why my single with cheese and shaggy sauce was so good and I think it's because the owner/chef knows how to season his burger. The patty is delicious and the bun is substantial enough to hold all the goodness together. My onion rings were crispy and not at all greasy (pet peeve) - again, really good. Service was incredible. One guy - maybe the owner? - was HUSTLING to take orders and make the food. If the quality of his food didn't convince me he was passionate about food, his cheer and friendliness would have. Unfortunately missing is my 90s metabolism and size 2 waist. Fear not, I ate for the sake of Yelp exploration! It was just my little one and I. His monster appetite had him polishing off the Kid Cheeseburger box. I sampled a few of his fries and they were delicious! Perfect crunch and level of salt.
