We had never eaten here before. It's the closest Chinese restaurant to us. (Wok and Grille in Lago…read moreVista is closer, but after a change of ownership, the food quality there dropped to 'unacceptable.') I ordered Mongolian beef and my wife chose cashew chicken. I had a large hot and sour soup and an order of four vegetable egg rolls. The soup was good but I was disappointed there were no little chunks of pork in it. The egg rolls were the worst I've ever tried to eat, after requesting soy sauce and hot mustard, which should've accompanied this dish. They were previously frozen and gooey inside. Just awful. The beef was tender and the onions were cooked perfectly in my Mongolian beef, but there was barely any sauce. Same with my wife's dish: very little sauce. Neither dish had much flavor. My Mongolian beef was supposed to be spicy. There were three peppers on my plate, but it wasn't spicy at all. I had to drench everything with hot oil. The hot tea was too weak to drink. I'm 74 and traveled the country for 35 years during my career working for a Japanese company. I ate at least one Asian meal per week at a Chinese, Japanese, Thai or sushi restaurant. I also cook delicious stir fry dishes with scratch made sauces.

Tried Four Seasons Chinese Restaurant in Leander and had a pretty average experience. We ordered…read morethe veggie egg rolls, orange chicken, General Tso's chicken, and beef lo mein. Everything was cooked fine, but overall the food just lacked flavor. The beef lo mein, in particular, was surprisingly bland, which was a bit strange. The orange chicken was also just okay but not memorable either. It made me wonder if it's more of a seasoning or ingredient quality issue. With so many solid Chinese food options around, this one didn't really stand out enough for me to order from again.

We have visited Hao Hao a few times to give it the benefit of doubt…read more Every time we've visited has disappointed us in different ways. 1. Staff was trying to hard to act like they wanted to be there. They did not show any form of enthusiasm for their craft. If you're going to be a server for this season in Your life,, be the best, get the higher tips, just be. 2. The food lacked the unique Viet flavor. The Pho was watered down and gave very limited basil, bean sprouts and such. 3. The ambiance was better at McDs across the way. Not a place I feel welcome and want to return to. I gave it 2 stars because the food was not completely terrible, but, it absolutely lacked. I'll try it again in 6 months and see if it's changed. If it does I will update my review

Hunan lion delivered some solid Chinese food. Service was…read moreoutstanding- prompt, friendly and interactive The soup was dry flavorful but good gosh it was super salty - the sodium almost took over the entire dish - I was thinking about adding some soy sauce so I could taste something besides the salt in the soup but given how high in sodium most soy is, I decided to pass. The orange chicken was a mixed bag - most of it was just the right amount of sauce and breading but there were a few pieces that were over breaded and the sauce was borderline overcooked- but as I said it was only a couple of pieces. The lunch menu was limited so I will return to try another option. Great service, fair pricing and decent food offerings.

I went today for the lunch special because everyone on NextDoor is recommending it…read more I came in & was a little hectic as they just installed a new payment system and they were dealing with getting the people taken care of who were there before me. By the time I checked out the new system was quick and easy to use. It threw me a little because add tip is at the end, just FYI. I ordered an iced tea, and the basil shrimp lunch special. I subbed jalapeños instead of the bell peppers. I can't stand that almost every Asian dish is just full of bell peppers it just makes the food taste like bell pepper peppers. They were happy to sub, no issues. As I sat drinking my iced tea I was enjoying the decor inside with the cute umbrellas hanging from the ceiling. It's a nice touch. There were quite a few people in there when I arrived however by the time I sat down they had left so I snapped a photo before anyone else sat back down. My lunch special came with soup, I ordered the egg Drop soup and it was delicious so I was looking forward to the rest of my food. They served the soup with some crispy wontons on the side. When my dish arrived I was happy to see they use nice big fat plump shrimp the sauce was seasoned nicely it was a little sweet from the basil and a little hot from the jalapeño. My lunch came with fried rice and an egg roll. I dipped the eggroll in the yummy basil sauce. Delicious lunch everything was great. As I was watching someone else get their food after me I noticed that their rice had been neatly placed on the plate like it was tucked into a bowl and then plated. My rice was just all over the plate. Not a complaint just something I noticed. Although I feel like I had more rice than she did lol. The only thing kind of off was that she brought me the little machine to my table to pay while I was still finishing eating. I know she realized and left it at the table and walked away and came back for it. I believe the only reason she did that was because she had two of us right about the same time that had to pay. Iced tea refills big plus, happy with any server who is nice to me and fills up my tea. The iced tea was good & strong and I was able to take my refil to go. The only thing I could improve I think today is maybe make the restaurant a little bit cooler inside. It's so hot outside and I never completely felt cooled off sitting in there other than that everything was amazing and I'll be back.

There was nothing that I would not eat again, but the highlight was definitely the crab rangoon, the best that I have ever had anywhere and I have lived in 5 countries on 4 different continents and been to another 32 countries. The PuPu platter was good, but I would likely go with separate items in the future with potentially skipping the shrimp and spring rolls. I really liked the ability to pick the spice level on the entrées. I recommend ordering the fried rice entrée, the fried rice that comes with the other entrées is ok, but the fried rice entrée really takes it up flavor wise. I have to assume the Indonesian food is authentic as there were at least 5 families in traditional dress going in for pickup or dinner. I definitely look forward to trying Indonesian selection next time around. It is a family owned establishment and they could not be nicer. Definitely worth the out of the way drive for me.

When I walked in, I was greeted by two friendly young ladies. I placed my order and waited. I do not have a large waiting area. They also do not have a large dining room. I would love to come back and bring friends as it's a very cute place and the staff is very friendly. Small and casual decor would be a great place to come with friends.
