We recently moved here and we had heard of sunscreens before but the climate in other places was such that we didn't feel like we needed something to help cool the house. Moving to Queen Creek, we immediately knew that even though we had a new build home with an energy star rating and a HERS score of 58, that there was more that we could do to help keep our SRP bill in check. After some research another contractor told us about Lines Sunscreens. I got online and learned more about sun screens and that you could get both a federal rebate but also that SRP gave a rebate for them as well for Professionally installed shade screens or window films qualify for an $1.00/square foot rebate (west and east sides only). After calling and asking some questions around pricing and times I had Ryan come out and look at the home. Again, this is a new build home and, in our case, it had foam around the windows. Ryan explained three pathways we could take to have them installed. This was important because two of them could potentially void our home warranty for our windows. The third pathway he explained kept us able to add them without risking voiding our warranty. We ultimately chose this. Ryan was very through, was no pressure and explained other ways we could save money if we wanted to DIY. SRP requires it to be professionally installed if we want the rebate and honestly, we are not the most hand people so we had it professionally installed. That said, they look great and I could IMMEDITELY feel the difference as they were installed and I was sitting in my office behind low E windows and blinds. I looked on-line and found many factory houses to do what I needed. I contacted them and they claimed to have quality - I can't post my images on this site but I have 3 bathroom arched windows. The problem is this company is very inexperienced with the arch - so they send out to a different company - I was an Engineer for 10+ years, what do you think happens when you arch a flat piece of metal that has a grove in it? It expands out! - so the gourmet they used did not HOLD on the curve. I paid $500 for three screens- I could have got it for 1/2 that on-line - to add insult to injury they want to charge me for the mistake they made - I hove told them I will sue in court - if I do - it will cost them much more than $75. This company has gone above and beyond from the beginning (texting is an option, no awkward pressured phone calls), to having someone come out and give us a quote (soooo friendly, educated, honest, and fair when it comes to pricing), to the install which was done in under 2 hours for 18 windows! Not only do they support local law enforcement as well a military members, but they are happy to talk to you, provide options, pricing, and have a VERY flexible schedule. The only negative experience I had was somehow one of the screens was not delivered/installed with everything else today, but we have been reassured it's on the way and they can come back out as soon as tomorrow. Stull don't have my missing screens.. they brought back 7 random screens that don't belong on my house to give the better business bureau the illusion that they did the right thing. I sent pictures to show the screens don't match.. I get very long messages explaining everything other than how they are going to give me the correct screens.. bottom line they took off 26 screens, brought back 17, 1 for a window O never had a screen on, glass block and another is a brand new frame, clearly not mine and doesn't at home, several were broken and missing the springs in the sides.. I am missing 10 screens, they brought me 3 and they don't fit my windows either.. I have told them this and it is still not fixed.. and they wonder why I yell when they contact me.. absolutely ridiculous they can't figure out where the screens are on my house.. have gotten excuses like, your order was purposely screwed up by a bad business partner, people quit, screen shortages, and lastly that there was issues with trying to rescreen my screens..(should have just called and talked to me about it). They claim they tried everything to remedy bit frankly everything they did felt deceitful... there is a different reason and spin every communication.. so sad I ever did business with this company they have made this the most frustrating experience I have ever had, so let because they do not listen and they do no not communicate, they hide their mistakes and blame it on the customer!
