Todd Steely, the owner of this company, is a true professional. He is communicative, he was on time for the estimate and for the installation, and he knows what he is doing and does it well. We needed replacement bug screens for just 6 windows, and he did not shy away from what must be a smaller job for him. He also was very honest in telling us we didn't need a new screen for our patio door, which is the original on our house, (built in 2003), so he saved us money there! He made the screens to fit each individual window, with their unique 20 year old curves and size differences from settling, and they are beautiful, and easy to remove for window washing! Todd got back to me right away when I called him a couple of weeks ago wanting to get a quote. He was able to come out within the next 2 weeks, gave us a super reasonable quote and we just got them installed today. We are super happy with the sunscreens! Didn't actually conduct business with 505 Sunscreens BUT I had a pretty incredible (and unexpected) experience with them that is worth a rating and a share. I had reached out to 505 for helping hang close to 20 exterior window shades and was on a pretty tight timeline to get it all finished. I sent a message via Yelp and received a very fast reply. I was told that, unfortunately, the work was backlogged and likely wouldn't work with my timeline. It was apparent that the owner was dedicated to getting his current list of customers handled before taking any immediate new work on (bravo). Before he ended the message, the owner actually referred me to a competitor. Yes, you heard that right. I was given another name and number and told this other small, local business did great work. I was very impressed with this gesture. I mean, it's not super often that you see other businesses helping each other out- especially in a competitive market (they both specialize in east valley work). When I called the other business I made sure to mention how I had heard of them. They were so thankful for the referral. Moral of the story: 505 Sunscreens absolutely deserves your business. The online ratings alone speak to the quality of the work (majority 5 star reviews) but my experience also showed that the owner CARES about his customers and potential customers- making sure they are cared for is important in building loyalty! I felt this deserved a rating on my Yelp page because, once again, part of small business is being part of the community and caring for people.
